Mazatrol Matrix Nexus: How to perform NC DATA RESTORE

This video show how to change Z-OFFSET COUNTER and delete a PART PROGRAM; and then how to restore those data using NC DATA RESTORE function.
The NC DATA BACKUP function creates backups of parameters, programs, and other NC data.
Automatic backup
This function creates backups during the start of the NC unit.
Automatic backup becomes valid when “1” is set up at bit 7 in parameter F166.
When the machine is powered on next time onward, backups will be created automatically at the start of the NC unit. Automatic backup is indicated by the corresponding message on the screen.
Outline
This function intended for rapid restoration in the event of erroneous data deletion, for example, creates backups of parameters, programs, and other data at the start of the NC unit or in desired timing, in order to restore the normal state of the data concerned. So if the HDD (Hard Drive Disk) or SSD (Solid State Disk) fails; the machine can be restored easily to its last status and won’t be required to perform a new machine SET-UP. All data as part program, tool data, tool offset, etc will be restored to the date and time according to the NC DATA BACKUP time stamp.
IMPORTANT
It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that operations perform this NC DATA BACKUP every time a new SET-UP is finished. It takes half a minute, and it will save too much time if any NC failure.

why do we back up everytime?
i backed up last year
do i need to back up this year? ?

Basically only operating data are constantly modified on a CNC machine like tool offsets, variables, etc; on the other hand ladder logic and parameters are not; but if a catastrophic failure occurs
having the complete backup up to date will ensure to get the machine up and running quickly to its most recent working conditions without having to perform a new setup.
Made a backup it takes less than a minute and it worth it in the case you need it.

There is no energy saving mode as known on this CNC model, what is has is the timer T31 AUTO POWER OFF TIME AFTER CYCLE FINISH, T43 & T44 WORK LIGHT OFF TIMER, T45 CHIP CONVEYOR OFF TIMER
