I think funk's reaction to this one was something like "you know when you've got a tug of war match and there's the one guy on the end with legs like toothpicks that thinks he's helping? Those nails sure fuckin' do."
@ssgwoke4257 well sorry to tell you but my boyfriend is not a board, and our attachment is a hell of a lot stronger than whatever the fuck you could call this waste of materials. GFC
I used this technique to tie the tectonic plates together in California same chain and sized nails! I was so strong Hawaii is now 100 miles closer to Florida
The nails are there to keep the last chain link from moving up, when a pull is applied to the joint. But still the system won't be too effective since the wood seems too soft. The resources could be used in a better way.
as someone that took a bong rip a second ago.. this video is nowhere near interesting and only just makes me want to smoke more to forget about this waste of my eyesballs viewing time
The screw and the washer is the only thing doing anything Lol
instead of using the nails he should have filled the hole with epoxy
@@kiyoponnn epoxy wouldn’t do shit with sheer force 🤣🤣🤣😂
No jesus hold it 😂
Onm there are way more simple ways to make it stronger than this😂

Never once in my god damn life have a found a need for a chain to be attached to a board like this
Chill you probably have a gf that looks like a board n you attached 😂

Just use a ringed bracket and attach the chain with a shackle!
Heat lamps in a chicken coop but a couple electrical staples do the job better
If I did this on a job site I'd get fired on the spot...

If my old boss saw me doing this he would call me an idiot.
I'll keep this in mind whenever I need to attach a chain to a 2 by 4
a 2 by 4 with a weird cut in the middle 🤣
How many times have you watched it?
Me: yes
I can't remember the last time I need a chain nailed to a board
I'd probally use this to fasten nothing I can even imagine ever
Or just an idea, you run it through bolt through the sides. Then it works like a hinge.
The nails are there to keep the last chain link from moving up, when a pull is applied to the joint. But still the system won't be too effective since the wood seems too soft. The resources could be used in a better way.
I tried this at work. Safety inspector was not happy about this harness set up
Good to see that good craftsmen are still out there.
Thank you for another solution to a problem that never existed
the irony of a claw hammer fitting it when a claw hammer could destroy it in seconds...
Thank you!
Nice. The clamping power far exceeds the structural capability of the 2x4
This clip got sponsored by the nail industry

Anything that rips the screw out would take those nails in a heartbeat
Im glad there's people doing shit like this so I get to look like an A tech
Ill rewatch this in the zombie apocalypse
Best way to tie in on a roof. Then just use a Keychain to fix the chain to your belt loop. 👌
I don’t know why but this reminded me of the scene in mask where he’s locking the gate with everything😅
Straight to the comments 🤣
Plot twist the real sweat was riot shield boi
GREAT SUCCESS THANKS
Would t it be easier to Just screw from the right, throurght the Wood, inside of the chain and back?
Bent nails always look so professional.
Mankind has survived the Ice Age, the Iron Age, two World Wars and countless seemingly insurmountable challenges…only to arrive here? We’re doomed.
What if the chain was mounted on iron to make it super strong?
А просверлить под болт,заглубить отверстия для скрытия шляпки и гайки?
I am excited for natural selection to take its course in your case.
Bolts work pretty well
Probably the first type of manual labor this guy has ever tried.
Him:Super strong chain
Lava:im about to end this man'a whole career
Looks legit….
When it came to school projects, I was the washer and screw
I was the nails
I would trust that with my life
My brain cells just exploded
The nails would have been useful if they were driven through the side of the board through the chain link recessed into it.
GOD BLESS YOU
Now we are going to demonstrate a fall using this tie down
Got to love it….. humans making things harder than they need to be!🙈🙈🙈
I'd probably feel safe to tie off to this🤣
That board won’t run off tonight by golly.
I would've snuck a nail between the link and taped 2 nails on either end to fully secure it.
Seems pretty tough for a 6year old princess
Super strong is definitely a stretch.
Like my buddy the forklift mechanic says “this is bullshit get fucked”
So, a screw and a washer. Brilliant. Whatever will they come up with next.
Ух и надёжно сделал!
I don’t even remember the last time I needed a chain on wood
Very effective, and maybe a tad overkill lol
Somewhere, someplace, a carpenter has woken up in a cold sweat due to this short
He will never know this is what caused it
the average landlord
Man watching this you'd think they isn't an actual way to anchor a chain to wood of you wanted to
Better hope that washer doesn't slip through or you're fucked 😂
A chain is only as strong as the weakest link 🧐☝️
Pull straight up and it's gone 😆
I gotta get me a camera and start lying to people
This is a fishing lure for the catching beaver
That's the power of Chinese Engineering
Nothing could be stronger. Even a bolt through the wood.
I guess a lag bolt and a washer was unavailable.
A chain is only as strong as the weakest link
The nails arent stopping anything, if the screw wasnt there the chain link could just slide out.
Bullshit aside... It occurs to me that I have never needed to secure a chain to a piece of wood. Ever.
You could have just put a nail in the board horizontally through the link. It would be stronger and less work
Well I see this all the time, poster’s are looking for comments to feed the algorithms. But please don’t anyone rely solely on this connection.
What are the force directions stopped by those nails? You have to plan things out before promoting them online.
Geht's noch umständlicher❓️🥺
Ein langer Nagel oder eine Schraube oder sowas quer durch den Balke und das Kettenglied - fertig👍
Be careful they are out there
Imagine putting the nail on the side of the wood would be too simple
This is weaker than my will to live
Shoulda put a single nail or screw through the side of the board going into the loop that’s in the wood 🤨
Make the jole big enough put the chain threw and bolt it took me 1sec to figure a better way
Mr funk will love this one
What is the uh... practical application of this sir?
Perfect for failure when you need it
“System” was used pretty loosely here
Is it a common thing to be attaching chains to a plank
А с боку гвоздь один всеголиш один не проще забить
or you could just use the screw and washer and not waste perfectly good nails.
That’s some of that caveman shit right there.
Well heck yeah that's the way to half ass a job!
