I had to smile when I saw this video. You call this a "Beginners" mini Album but I think you have to be already a bit less of a beginner for this. Love it by the way and I gonna make it for sure! Thank you.

Thank you! 😃
I love it sooo much, you never cease to amaze me, I haven’t made an album for so long but I am definitely going to make this, thank you again Shellie for sharing your amazing talent 🌷
Hi Mandy . Have fun making this album.
I ALWAYS love your tutorials and you are why I make albums now and I tell people that ask to go watch your step by step way you make them. I do want to say that I used to make them with tape but some of my albums sit a while before they sell and the tape does dry out as I have had to go back and glue them down. It's no big deal but no matter what brand tape I use it does dry out. I do use the art glitter glue always! Love love this album!!!
Hi Angela. Interesting topic. some people use the art glitter glue and scor tape together , or just the glue because it has to do with the climate they live in or in their home. I wouldn't think the scor-tape would dry out if it was burnished down really good (it doesn't in my climate), but you and others say they've experienced it. I'm glad you've adjusted to what works for you and all is well. That's the thing with mini album making - we all adjust to what works best for us :) Thank you for your comments . Happy Crafting my friend!
@@ShellieGeigle yes, you are probably correct. I'm in Georgia so you probably hit the nail on the head! You are to sweet!! I watched one of your videos the other day where you made the two inch strips and scored those to hold your pages....I made three and glued them together and really like doing that. Thank you for all you do!! God Bless!!!
Oh my word, that is stunning.
Thank you Stella
I love this album. I have steampunk paper I’m going to use with this design. Thanks for another awesome tutorial.
That would look great!!
Lovely album Shellie!
Thank you Juili
Thank you so much for the tutorial. I've been wanting to do this for a long time and you make it so easy. Thanks for sharing your talent.
Paulie - Thank you so much. You can use a different paper, however, if it's your first, I'd try to stick with the same paper I use as it may be easier. Here is a link to an easy beginner video I did. Not sure if you like the colors, theme, but it's an easy one a lot of people enjoyed making as well. I believe we have a few of this paper left in stock. czcams.com/video/-781BQO7eLE/video.html
Love the page designs.
Thank you
Thank you for the tutorial on this beautiful album. I agree the galaxy gold is the best and I find that the starlite silver is also the best and beautiful to use for stamping on wedding albums.
Thank you so much. I love that galaxy gold. I do have a silver too now and find they really are a realistic touch to projects.
Beautiful! I learned a helpful tip from jenofeve design when it comes to score tape. Its more forgiving if you rub some glue stick over the score tape before you set it. That way you can adjust it if you need to before it bonds.
Thank you so much for the tip. :)
This album was truly amazing!! I absolutely loved it and want to thank you - excellent instruction and beautiful design!!
Gracias por compartir las medidas, materiales y el tutorial, me encanta, un saludo.
thank you
awesome album
Thank you :)
Oh my my ♥️😍👍
thank you
This is amazing! you must be an engineer.
HI SHELLIE---as you know....i am your number 1 fan! Just a request---would you consider putting together a picture matt tutorial? Mine never come out looking like yours---can't figure out why....
Hi Voni. I have 2 picture mat help / inspiration videos on my channel. Did you see those? There are two . One older and one newer. check out the newer one first then older :)
Shellie, I love your albums! I think it is really cool that you do these tutorials for every one! I have a question, what makes you decide when to use tape, and when to use glue?
Great question. I try to keep to using scor tape for anything gluing down to the base album. sometimes if my gut tells me to use it elsewhere, I will. Just remember, if using wet glue, you have to burnish it just as you would scor tape to get all the air out and the glue spread under your paper .. Have fun creating your album! Happy Crafting!
Great album for anyone - don't need to be a beginner! Would you cover the Tyvek with card stock if it's black?
I still would because most times the black Tyvek is a shade different than your cardstock. It adds extra protection too .
Hello Shellie! Thank you for sharing this beautiful creation of yours with all of us. I am a definite "beginner" and am looking forward to trying to follow this tutorial. I will let you know how it goes for me.... I'm really new at this, so who knows? LOL But what caught my eye as I was searching through the different tutorials on CZcams to make a mini album was not only the construction of this album but the gorgeous paper! I mean WOW!!!!! I was looking to make one for my son who is graduating from H.S. soon. He would LOVE this paper design. So I went online to see if I could order it(I'm in the US) and I could only find it from the actual paper company out in Italy! That is gonna be kinda pricey I would assume? May I ask where you ordered from or found this particular paper at???? Do you have a store? Oh and one more question as a new person~ Magnet's??? What size do you use and where do you buy yours from??? There are so many to choose from online! My first attempt of purchasing them was a bust. I bought them at 8mmx2mm= too thick! My second attempt was 8mmx1mm= not too thick but not strong enough to go through the thicker design papers.... Help me please. Or anyone else who reads this post....LOL Sorry for such a long comment but I had a lot to say I guess!!! Hahaha Bottom line is~ You are A-Mazing and I appreciate you sharing your gifts and talents with all of us. Have a wonderful day Shellie
Hi. I have an ebay store and website. Download the free copy of the materials list - print it out . I sell everything for this tutorial but you'll want to order from our ebay store right now as it's the only one with the paper left in stock. got a few left. Here is the link : www.ebay.com/itm/233094853962
What is alternative other than double sided paper pack
This is amazing thank you! Please can you tell me which magnets you use and where I can purchase them?
The link to her store is in the description box

Cara Shellie , congratulazioni sincere dall Italia...
Quanti album ha usato ? Graxie
Gorgeous album as always 😊 I have the same paper however my pack came with only 8 double sided sheets 😭
Hi Dragana. I think Ciao Bella changed some of their paper packs from 8 in a pack to 12. I just noticed when I got more Brocatta Estense in that it had 12 sheets instead of 8. I was happy about that. If you have the paper and only 8 double sided sheets, you may be able to add in some other paper that matches in .
@@ShellieGeigle Thanks so much for telling me. I bought my paper a while ago and haven't had the chance to use it yet. I think I'll manage with two paper packs that I have and like you said add more of similar design paper if needed 😊
I have a question if you dont mind. Instead of using the Tyvex Sheet like you did can I use tyvek tape in its place? Will it work the same way. Im guessing it would but have never done this so not sure.
I think Tyvek Tape will work.. I don't see why not. Tyvek is Tyvek. :)
Thank you for the tutorial!!! If you need any italian translation.... I’m italian! Write me
Do you sell the burnisher in your store that you use in this tutorial?
I don't sell that particular burnisher. It was a gift from a viewer. I forget the name of the store, but remember it's in Issaquah Washington. You may want to google Bone folders in Issaquah, Washington. They have an online store.
Thank you, Shellie.
When I make albums, I like to journal along with pictures explaining where, when and/or why. I don't see where you leave any place to do this. Do you journal along with placing pictures in your albums?
I do journal with photos. I haven't filled this album yet as it's at the hobby store for people to look at. A few years ago I did put a video out sharing an album I made and how I used journaling tags and journal by photos. Completely different album, but you may get some inspiration from it. czcams.com/users/edit?o=U&video_id=whTu5Wvn5rA
Hi Shellie. This link did not work. Also, I put journaling space on every page in my books. That way I can record what, where, why, etc, about the pictures.
Sorry about that. Try this one : czcams.com/video/whTu5Wvn5rA/video.html
Gorgeous mini album :) Heads up- the measurement guide is not showing up on your web page that you link to.
Thank you. If pdf guides don’t show up, you can request your free copy by emailing
Jshobbiesandcrafts.com They keep all my files there at the office
hi, shellie, what are the dimensions of each page before scoring? because if they are 6 7/8 and you score each at 6 3/8, that makes each page 6 1/2 the same as the chipboard covers. i followed the cutting guide and i had to trim 1/4 off because they were sticking out.
Hi Lil. You shouldn’t be protruding over the edge. If your sheet is 6-7/8 long to start and you score at 6-3/8 - that 1/2 inch is your hinge. You are left with 6-3/8 page after attaching hinge to your spine which is less than 6-1/2 inch cover.
Thus us gorgeous ! Is the cutting guide still available for this ? If so is it called a different name? I can’t seem to find it ... many thanks.
Some older tutorials aren’t showing up. Send an email to:

Just request your free PDF of codex album. They will send to you. They have all my tutorials there at the office 😀
No spaces in that email
@@ShellieGeigle wonderful thank you
I'm sorry I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong with the email address but it said email rejected.
its ok it went through this time
Hi Shellie. Wow there's lots of room in this one so its a must for me. The journal I made with HC Roes paper pad is now filled with scriptures and notes. When you say you used 2 paper pads how many pages is that please? Bible journal number 2 will be in production after a coffee and a naughty biscuit which I will have watching this. Just one more thing please, I am getting confused with the sizes some are called mini and are huge. Can you please tell me is it the amount of pages that gives it the name. Thank you. Luvs and Hugs xxxx
Wendy. Naughty you with that biscuit. I want one LOL It's 3:47 a.m. here (woke up middle of the night) and I'm now having my coffee to start my day :) Regarding the Codex paper pad, I believe there are 12 double sided sheets in each pack. As for sizes - mini albums can be any size really. I call all mine mini, as they are not 12 x 12 size albums/journals. But some are Not-so-mini and are 8 x 8 or larger. So it's really up to who makes them to determine how "mini" a size they are or how many pages. xoxox Hugs
Where do I find the Free Materials list and precutting measurement guide? I tried the link but your archive only goes to April 2019.
Kim Nason email orders@jshobbiesandcrafts.com. They have copies of it. It is free.
why use score tape instead of a good sturdy glue? wouldnt it last longer
Hi great question! I prefer scor tape (it works for me and is strong adhesive) for certain parts of the album, especially the spine area where you attach your hinges. .
