    Also Liechtenstein has a provision in its constitution which permits each of its municipalities to declare independence. So Liechtenstein can go from one to ten micro-states!
    The Constitution of Monaco as well as the treaty it has with France, if the Royal House of Monaco dies out then Monaco becomes part of France.
    Another interesting thing about the French Presidency is that once elected they become Co-Prince of Andorra; the other Co-Prince is an appointee of the Pope; the Spanish Bishop of Seu d'Urgell. Andorra is the only country that officially has Catalan as its national language. So the heads of State are never selected by the Andorran people. And when addressing the French President you would say: "Your Excellence and Highness"; the Bishop it would be: "Your Excellence and Highness" or "Your Most Reverend and Highness".
    Lastly you should have addressed the only nation without land but has diplomatic relations with 112 out of the 193 members of the United Nations as well as the other permanent observer nations, Palestine and the Holy See. Why it's the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta!
    Well that is all for now.

    • @knockeledup
      @knockeledup Před 7 měsíci

      I don’t understand why people keep spouting that old fact about France taking over Monaco if the Grimaldi family fails to produce an heir as if it were still true because it hasn’t been for more than 20 years! France and Monaco signed a new treaty in 2002 that guarantees Monaco’s sovereignty if there is no Grimaldi heir. This treaty replaces the one from 1918 that meant France would have taken over. Currently, if there is no heir, the throne would be passed on to a more distant family member rather than a direct descendent of the Prince. The whole reason this treaty was originally put into place in 1918 where France would take over is because if there were no heirs from the Grimaldis, the next in line to the throne were Germans and they weren’t exactly popular at the end of WWI!

    LIK- tuhn- stine, not LITCH- tun- stine, took me all of 10 sechonds to confirm that , after having suffered a rapid fire mispronounciation.
    Also, does anyone know how big NYC Central park is in generaly understood terms such as football fields or hectares? ( Sixty second search; Central Park is 340 ha , about 840 football fields , 6,111 times smaller than Wales, or 2,720 times bigger than an Olympic sized swimming pool ( 50mx25m ))
    Talking of Wales, one hectare is the area that can be defined by a square with a side the length of three fully grown blue whales laid end to end. Perhaps " blue whale" could be used as a unit of measurement ? After all, everyone, but everyone, knows how big a blue whale is, right? So the former island paradise tastefuly converted into a barren wasteland known as Nauru could be said to be 150 blue whales across.
    Is "seven times smaller than" the same as " one seventh the size of " ?

    Lol I'm from one of the 25 smallest countries in the world. I've always wanted to visit the small countries in the Pacific and San Marino, seems really interesting nations.

    Gotta be honest, i found this video quite lazy. I'm a new subscriber, so i don't know what's common for you. The title had me expecting you to explain how the country came about, you didn't explain anything, just recited basic facts about GDP and population...

    Coptic is probably the easiest to learn, because it's still used a liturgical (church) language, just like Latin is to Roman Catholicism. Get in contact with a Coptic priest or monk.
