This song is hauntingly beautiful. It's simple and poignant and touching. To me the original is so perfect I don't need any of the covers, as good as they are they needn't exist.

This was performed in the simple "folk singer" style, popular in the early half of the sixties. This song was considered avant-garde for its day, reminds me of the work of the American poet Allen Ginsberg of the "Beat Generation" in the 1950s.

Always felt this version was like what was coming to us and Disturb's version was what happened.

Their voices are really instruments! Very few people harmonize like they do! React to Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel Live at Central Park New York in front of over half million people!

"People bow and pray, to the neon god they made"
Damn! And they were saying that in 1965

A great timeless song. Paul Simon wrote this fantastic song. They had many very good songs. Mrs. Robinson, The Boxer, Bridge over Troubled Water, I am a Rock and more. One of the greatest duos ever tho I put the Righteous Brothers as thee best!

The original version sounds kind of hunting, but
Disturbed did a cover of this song that sounds a little better 🤓 I glad to hear you are using Google to research new music it helps 😜

Disturb is great and all, but the harmony of Simon and Garfunkel is entirely what separates...at times I forget it's two voices, highly magical/mystical

Kind of "HUNTING"? What does that mean? I am thinking you meant "HAUNTING" I don't like Disturbeds' version of it, the beauty of the song is taken away. NO one does it like Simon and Garfunkel. LOVE their recorded version of it the best.
