She looked nothing like her character and while this can occasionally be excused (look at Lyra in the His Dark Materials TV show) in those cases the actor has to portray the character well (that was why they had a brown-haired, brown-eyed actress play a blonde-haired, blue-eyed character in HDM. She fitted the role so perfectly that the way she looked didn’t matter.) and the way Annabeth was written was just UGH. She is smarter and stronger than Percy in the books, and she saves his life regularly. She isn’t the damsel in distress and she isn’t just there to be a love interest for him. It took like half the series for that to happen, and would have been really weird if it hadn’t because they were like 12. Speaking of which, she was supposed to be 12, not 20. Anyway I meant that the actress is brave, not that she’s a hated character (although let’s face it, she is in the movies. You made a good point by accident than.)
