  • Heng Long board TK 6.1
    First start
    Comparison of 4 sound packages:
    00:09 - German Tiger
    01:21 - Leopard 2A6
    02:42 - T-90
    04:14 - M1A2 Abrams
As you can hear the difference and the sound quality has improved significantly compared to TK 3.0 (unfortunately I have no comparison with newer versions of HL). It is still not the sound quality level of Elmod, Clark or Benedini, but with a good speaker this module will satisfy beginners and people on a small budget. I used an old 4ohm home cinema speaker for testing. This test confirmed my belief that even for a budget control set for your tank it is worth installing a good quality speaker with appropriate parameters. It is best that the speaker has the largest possible diameter of the membrane that we can fit in the hull (the larger the diameter of the speaker, the lower and fuller sound), and that the speaker's frequency response does not cut off significantly low frequencies (100mHz - 20kHz should be enough). Of course, you should also remember about the right quality of material for the speaker cabinet (preferably wood) and the capacity selected (properly calculated) for our speaker.
And here is my latest improvement - main gun engine deck sensor (auto tilt mode) - final demo:
    • Heng Long TK6.1 Engine...
    Enjoy :)

    HL TK 6.1

    Porównanie 4 pakietów dźwiękowych:
    00:09 - German Tiger
    01:21 - Leopard 2A6
    02:42 - T-90
    04:14 - M1A2 Abrams
Do testów użyłem starego głośnika 4ohm z kina domowego. Ta próba utwierdziła mnie w przekonaniu, że nawet do budżetowego zestawu sterującego waszym czołgiem warto zamontować dobrej jakości głośnik o odpowiednich parametrach.

    Conclusions after testing:
It is a pity that the sound package is not balanced in all versions of the engine. In Abrams you can hear the reload and the shell falling out after the shot ... in Leo there is almost the same cannon - the shell cannot be heard. Such a pity.
In Leo, tracks sound are heard while driving - in Abrams - none.
In Abrams when idling, the sound is...let's say it's acceptable but it doesn't knock you down, but when you drive it is just poor - but it is finally :)
You can hear very well the sounds of the rotation of the tower in Leo, in Abrams it's very quiet. Generally, I bought this set for my son Abrams, but I think he likes the T-90 sound the most - so Abrams will sound like a Soviet tank :) :) :)
But we have some positives... Finally with TK 6.1 we have possibility of supporting the servo (recoil and gun elevation). And the ability to disable the hull recoil and this funny jerk after the shot :) . And finally this proportional control even on one stick is very precise (I have version TK 6.1 - without switching to two joysticks).

All the sounds were stolen from Tamiya.
The Tiger is the earlier sound and the Abrams is significantly newer hence the difference in sounds

@@PieAndChips Hi! I dont know well all of the Tamyia tank sounds emulation, but i'm pretty sure that the Abrams sound pack from Tamyia sound much better - closer to oryginal. Turbine engine matching with oryginal almost in 99%. Unlike HL TK 6.0/6.1 where tubine sound looks like my vacum cleaner or something... So i think that HL sound pack ( Abrams for sure ) isn't stolen but maybe i'm wrong. And for sure i'm not HL fanboy anywise.
      Best wishes from Poland :)

So do you mean that the Canon recoil in tk 6.1 isn't retarted just like in 6.0? Where it sneezes the bb?

    • @abramskypl
      @abramskypl  Před 2 lety

@@vinceaivanbetic5160 Speaking retarted are you mean retarded?
By firing a BB shot with a connected standard trigger connected to the BB mechanism you can get a synchronized servo recoli with the sound of the shot (and firing the BB simultaneously). If you disconnect the BB (because you do not need it) - just connect the jumper to CN6 (made of a JST plug and a piece of wire) and you have an immediate synchro of the sound of the shot and servo recoil.
Unfortunately - the range of servo movement and its speed are not regulated (they are fixed by the HL manufacturer). Personally, I don't like the servo return movement. It is much too slow if you are looking for a simulation of a modern tank gun (like in Abrams and Leopard). It should be almost as fast as the first recoil phase. But in the end it is finally here and comparing it with earlier generations of HL MFU - it was a good step to further development. Remember that the TK 6.0 is a mass-market MFU mounted on toys with limited ESC parameters and without serva and engine deck sensor, and without stabilization of the cannon. It is supposed to be cheap and simple. On the other hand, TK 6.1 was meant to be a PRO version - but unfortunately it still does not offer even some of the possibility to make your own settings as in Clark or Elmod.

Because retarded in a sense that I bought a HL kt before. I was happy at first cuz it has barrel recoil but when I used it instead of a recoil, the barrel looked like it sneezed out the bb

Jeśli masz doświadczenie w RC - to z tankiem sobie poradzisz.
      Pozdro i dużo zabawy w pancerkę :)

if you like the heng long board, you should see the taigen version 3 board with sound card.. the heng long has more different sounds, but the taigen sound is excellent but is model specific. i like the taigen. because in the ir version it has barrel flash .. shooting the bbs gets old after awhile.. . i have 3 heng long 6.0s tanks, tiger1, king tiger and challenger2,.. i personally think the heng longs are just to fast
and are geared to high.. i know you have 2 speed setting with the right stick on the heng long.. but still like the taigen more. ..if your going to drive that abrams alot can i suggest you brace the lower hull.. it will be more stable and add some weight to it

      Thanks for your kind advice.
I'm using HL 6.0 and 6.1 (6.1s waiting to be fixed) because Taigen doesn't offer Abrams sound. The HL 6.1 Abrams sound is not as good as the Tamiya Abrams MFU (which I got to be repaired) but it finally is. In addition, the HL 6.0/6.1 finally offers smooth and precise control, and when I bought the HL 6.1 ( june 2019 ), there was probably no Taigen V3 yet?
As far as I know, IR + FLASH ( with LED Flash mounted ) is possible in HL 6.0/6.1 . I don't install it just because my son doesn't want it. He really wanted to have ASG + IR so that we could fight together with his Leopard and Abrams ( I built a DIY IR system for his Abrams ). Remember that these are only toys ( complex and expensive, but still toys ), so not always what adults want is what children expect. The model must do something that can be seen, otherwise kids get bored quickly - IR doesn't enjoy it as much as "fighting" with ASG ;) .
Abrams, Leopard and Challanger are modern NBTs - they have to be fast ( in fact, they are even a little slow ). The ability to precisely control the model with minimum speed is priceless - but only for me (it is easier for me to film then haha). For children, speed matters :)
We use 3:1 and 4:1 Taigen steel gears which are too slow and have been waiting for several months to replace motors from 360/17,500 rpm to 390/25,000 rpm (all from Taigen)
      www.rctank.de/Engine-with-pinion-for-gearboxes-390-25000-rpm-engines-set-of-2-Heng-Long-Taigen
As for the reinforcement of the lower Abrams hull - it is stiffened with aluminum fenders (L shape profiles), and 2 partitions that also serve as bulkheads for water. There is 500g of lead (ballast) in the front, but when climbing it is sometimes not enough and we plan to add 200g to balance the heavy rear gears.

Hello. Do you have HL manual? Have you read it? First try with the V (Volume) key on the transmitter. Perhaps the volume is off because settings have been changed accidentally. Also check with another 6-8 ohm speaker ( 8 ohm will be perfect ). Whatever. Even from the home theater. You won't break anything if you use the correct plugs (2.54mm 2pin JST XH).
Here you can see how I did it:
      czcams.com/video/crj4IOXBhjs/video.html
It may also turn out that the amplifier in the HL 7.0 MFU has been damaged. However, if you are not an electronic ninja, without the tools and knowledge you cannot fix it yourself.

No i 2 silniki napędowe podłączasz 4 męskimi złączami bananowymi ( bodajże 5mm ). A baterię złączem T-Deans. Jeśli masz slip ring w wieży ( lub planujesz ) to potrzebujesz minimum 15 kabli. Najlepiej 18 -24 przewodów. Do kupienia tylko na eBay - około 100zł/szt.
      Powodzenia.

Hello! This module implements stabilization of the gun (CN 14) and (maybe) stabilization of the turret during the movement of the tank. Do you know about these possibilities ?? If you know, I would like you to show it ....... Thank you !!!

    • @abramskypl
      @abramskypl  Před 4 lety

      Hello Vasily
Yes. According to the HL manual, the CN14 connector is to be used to connect the stabilization gyroscope. Unfortunately, I don't know if you can buy it anywhere (I don't know if it's available for sale). I asked the HL producer and they did not reply. And one of the biggest HL sellers on eBay (Toucan Hobby) didn't even hear about it ... Unfortunately, the original HL gyroscope will probably be required because the CN14 connector has only 2 pin connector ... From what I noticed a standard RC gyroscope has a 3 pin connector (+, - and SIGNAL) ... So you won't be able to connect a standard RC gyroscope, but only a dedicated HL. Additionally, you may need a Light Sensor System with two sensors (probably transmitter and IR receiver) which I believe will be used to raise the barrel when the sensor detects that the barrel is in the rear position (above the engine cover).
Conclusion. We will have to wait for the dedicated components. Unfortunately, due to their non-standard design, I expect a high price. For example, a new original HL IR combat receiver (mushroom) was offered to me for $ 40 ... so I made it by myself ... for $ 4 ... :)

@@abramskypl Yes, I completely agree with you !!!!!! HengLong released this module and did not even explain in the instructions what to connect to these channels. After all, the module itself is not so cheap, you will buy it, and you will not be able to realize half of its functions. By the way, the same Toucan Hobby to my question what it is he sells for Henglong:

      @@user-ul1pf7fh1c I understood everything without a problem. Don't worry :)
The new Heng Long TK 6.0, and especially the 6.1 version, is a big technical step in relation to what HL offered so far in its toys. TK 6.1 finally supports the cannon recoil servo and you can turn off this ridiculous hull recoil when firing :) In addition, we have 2 speeds (slow for WWII models and fast for modern), a nice sound package and very smooth control. I think it's good enough for the mid level RC tanker.
I bought my TK 6.1 set six months ago for 80 USD. I treat this set as mid level and do not require more than what it offers at the moment. It is significantly below the Clark or Elmod level, but definitely higher than the stock sets offered with budget models.
I have HL TK 6.1 assembly instructions and it shows that the gyroscope and barrel position sensor are in preparation (they are planned in the future) so it should be assumed that HL will offer them someday ... You will not buy them for now ... (but ask someone in HL - maybe will write back to you). Installation will be very easy as long as you have original HL parts (I think they want that you need to buy only original HL products, that's why HL are planning an unusual 2-wire gyroscope ...).
What you showed in the link, is CS TK16 ( Chinese manufacturer Can Shuo ) AND THIS IS AN INDEPENDENT TANK CONTROL PLATE. You no longer need this version of HL TK 6.0 or 6.1 ... Google it: CS TK16 ... You can also buy CS TK SWB stabilization for this control board (gyroscope) eg. from Toucan or someone else. All together this set can cost even 200-250 USD ... good-goods-online.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Gun-Stabilizer-System-For-Scale-Model-Remote-Control-Tanks-Heng-Long-RC-Tank-Mato-RC-Tank-Upgrade-Parts-1.jpg
I can't find the English version of this manual right now. But I think that for a little higher price than Can Shuo CS TK16 + CS TK SWB you will buy a Clark TK... RC tank plate, plus a gyroscope and build the set you need with a greater possibility of setting various parameters.

      1. Turn on the transmitter (the tank must be turned off)
      2. Press (and do not release) the Start Button on the transmitter (button with a padlock symbol)
      3. With your other hand, turn on the Power switch on the tank
      4. You will hear the sound of the engine starting and the lights will start flashing if the pairing code is correctly read by the receiver.

I follow the procedur and I can bind remote and receiver. Thank youuuu...
And thank's for your instruction manual TK-7.0, I have copied the instruction. So I can change the sound effect. The mainboard have two sound effect, can change with push G + K simulataneously (T-90 and Tiger).

      @@oprekboy9693 Good 4 U :)
Yes. This is how the G + K button works. You have a choice of 2 sound packs. But as I know ( from many sources including Chinese ) there is no T90 and Tiger sound pack in TK 7.0, but Leopard 2 turbo diesel, and Abrams wit turbine ( jet ) engine... Sorry :(

      @oprekboy9693 Před 2 lety +1

Actually, I also have doubts about the sound effect of the TK-7.0, my identification is only based on the advertisement image which displays the T90 image and the very rough sound of the diesel engine which makes me think of a Tiger Tank.. 😇🤭
I am very grateful if you are willing to see my video and confirm the sound effects of TK-7.0..... czcams.com/video/HLbh4IuC0hM/video.html

@@oprekboy9693 Hello. Sorry for the delay, I've been busy these days.
From what I can see, my assumptions about the fact that HL should prepare two versions of TK 7.0 (Leo + Abrams and T90, Tiger) have come true. Each with two sound packs. I talked about it a few months ago with one of the Chinese CZcamsrs.
The sound with the horn is almost certainly the new improved T90 with a gas turbine. According to the Military Safety Instructions in the Soviets' army and their former satellites (also in the Polish Army - where I served in the Armored Brigade), the driver is obliged to warn with the horn before starting the engine. You can also clearly hear the sound of the turbine (characteristic whistle of the turbine) when you let go of the throttle and the T90 gas turbine slows down.
The second sound pack is an improved Tiger - gasoline engine (the Germans did not use diesel engines in their tanks during WWII - the Russians did). A moment after starting the engine, you can hear the characteristic clatter of the Maybach engine ...
Both packages are significantly improved compared to version 6.0 / 6.1 and as I wrote on the rctankwarfare forum in the post about the new TK 7.0 (with pictures of the manual) due to MFU memory limitations - HL decided to divide the sound packages from 4 to 2. As a result two versions of sound packages for TK 7.0 were created.
      Thanks for the video.

      @abramskypl  Před 3 lety

Jesli chodzi o koszty. Zależy co chcesz zrobić. Zestaw TK 6.1s z pilotem to około 80-100$.

fitted one in my 12v 1/6 US Stuart tank! works perfectly! pity there are no ww2 US tank sounds on it?? had to choose the 'tiger' sound as it is the only one that actually sounds like a ww2 tank! typical Chinese though!!!

Good job Mick. HL TK 6.0/6.1 has potential, but it's a pity that they didn't go a step forward and didn't let us add our own sounds ... My son and I prefer modern tank models, but here also the sound packages are not perfect and standardized (I wrote about it in the pinned comment ... ). But looking at the leap that HL made in relation to the earlier versions of electronics, good for them to develop.
      Show off your Stuart :)
Btw, please visit Polish forum rctank.pl where there are many models built from a scratch. Have fun.
