- This is a review of the updated Katara 16 EDC (everyday carry) backpack. This is a 16 Liter backpack that can be converted to a left or right side carry slingback.

Great job on detailing the interior storage pockets for EDC gear in the KATARA-16! Especially on the 3 Way Access Pocket that can be setup for top access or left / right side access (sling pack configuration). Awesome to see the CCW Holster accessory used to retain a large external battery pack as well! Best Regards, Alex @ Vanquest
How about the hot spot when you wear it as a sling configuration?
It climbs up you neck and rubs on neck!

This is an awesome review. I got mine here in the Philippines two weeks ago and it is now my everyday backpack. I had to "retire" my Maxpedition Lithvore because this Katara suits my needs more. Thanks for the review as this validated my thoughts on this backpack.

Wow I just came across this bag and man you make me want it now, such a intuitive design and everything looks like vanquest put a lot of time and R&D from a user standpoint (practicality, durability, etc. ).

Great idea using the ccw holster to secure the battery bank. Mine just stays at tbe bottom of my bag. Your idea makes it easier to access. Great vid!👍

I like your idea for a hidden pocket location. I think it would be a good place to store valuable items when traveling (passport, money, identification, or air plan boarding pass).

What amount/size of items can you fit in the main compartment if you don't use the big internal pocket?
Jonathan Kjær Andersen : It’s a 16 liter size bag, so I’d say that about 13 liters worth of stuff.

Jonathan Kjær Andersen : Well, in my opinion, it’s more of a small EDC bag. Stuff for a day. I might could use it as an overnight bag. If you did not have to have but a little bit of clothing, you might could make it 2 days. If you did not need any clothing it could easily be 2 days.
Did you safety check that ankur first? Remember, treat all chargers as if they are loaded!

Hey. Thank you for taking the time to watch. To answer your question, 😂, I’m not sure what to say. But, I would say my top 3 are the Vanquest Trident-20, Falconer-27, and the Katara-16. Man, I struggle deciding.
Do you think that you can sqeeze a 15 inch MacBook pro in the sleeve? I have a trident 31 but somtimes that pack is to big. Keep the great video’s!!!
Hey. Thank you for watching! Unfortunately, the laptop pocket will most likely not hold a 15” 😂. I’m not sure if you could just slide the laptop into the main pocket itself, tho 😀
