I think I’d like to try this without the freeze dried veggies and add some frozen mixed veggies in part way through the cooking process. Maybe also substitute canned chicken for when I don’t have leftover cooked chicken to see how it comes out. Would also like to experiment with making a smaller batch in the instant pot.

How much water do you add to the ingredients to make the soup? You forgot to tell us that detail.

How long does this last? I can't really imagine it going bad.
The general time frame given for the gift-in-a-jar mixes is 6 months. But I could see this one lasting even longer. I know the freeze-dried vegetables usually last for even a few years. The rest is just dry pasta and dry spices so I agree with you, I can't really imagine it going bad. It should keep as long as you would expect these ingredients to keep in your pantry.
what brand of bullion do you use? I have never bought that....
I used to use Wyler's, which is delicious but a little pricey and comes in a very small jar. But I have recently discovered the Knorr brand bouillon which is less expensive and even more delicious. I first learned of it through ibotta but couldn't find it locally, so I ordered from walmart.com. However, I have recently noticed a few local stores are starting to carry it. It must be new altogether. If you can find it, I suggest the Knorr. But really any brand of dry bouillon that you like will work fine.
Thanks...thats great info! I like ibotta-our local grocery store participates by using your club card, so you dont even have to scan receipts to earn! I like savingstar because they do the same (although at even more stores!) Scanning receipts is not so fun when you are visually impaired...it just takes forever to be sure you are doing it right, esp with long receipts...
