    Dear Sirs,
thanks for the helpful video :)
    Please inform about
potential problem, it is OREA 60 RTS (230V) not much used. The engine
closes the awning normally, and only one millimeter per millimeter (like
tilting mode) moves into the second one (opening). Opening the awn
millimeter by millimeter can be pressed successively xyz times
successfully (eg. 1 meter, but this takes time :) ), but if I pause for
more than two seconds the button does not respond and I need to click
another direction and then it works again.
A 3-8-3 reset succeeds but still the same problem.
The Telis 4 RTS is remote.
Could this be that the engine was left in tilting mode by mistake or
The capacitor is 11uF, tested and correct. Is there a way to test the electric motor in both directions directly on the cables (3 wires go to the motor: white, green and red)?
    Thanks in advance :)

do you have any idea how to get the motor and gearbox out of the tube? There are 4 pins that i have knocked in on my version but the motor and gearbox remain tight inside the tube. Any comments would be helpful.

Considering that they can cost over $500 there should be some sort of repair capable. There is also a crimp on mine... that might need to be ground out.

I ended up cutting the tube and it appeared that the motor had failed, it was running with a grinding sound and getting really hot. The result being that I bought a whole new unit.

philip rogers sorry for not replying earlier, I have tried to get them apart myself and found it nearly impossible to get the motor/gearbox end out! The receiver is the only part you can change over.

I can't comment on the grinding sound but all AC tubular motors get very hot. Particularly around where the motor is located. If you touch one that has been running for a few minutes it may well strip the skin off your hand. This is actually normal and the reason they all have a thermal overload cutoff at around 4 minutes.
