to use the Long Haul Technique to see how many prints we could develop. I was able to print 34 with my final being #34. I used a stencil by Susan Dufresne pmartiststudio... from PM Artist Studio called Poppy Fields.

WOW, VERY IMPRESSIVE. Your pulls were all very nice. Apparently it is easier to get a long haul if you use liquid paints. Very nice set of pulls.🎉🎉❤
Thank you. I’ve used a number of different paints during the course of exploring long hauls and many work really well, I’ve even used my Golden Open during the course of printing. Usually as an in between paint color, never used continuously. As you could see some of my fluid paints didn’t pull terribly well, the Pyrole Red in particular. Maybe I didn’t have enough paint or maybe Pyrole Red just dries more quickly. I’m not sure. The take away from all of this is that use what you have to experiment with and see what works for you.
Gorgeous Christy! The Maganese blue ones were my favorite mid pulls! Your final print was beautiful! You definitely beat me ( I only got up to 20 I think, I will have to try again) ❤️
They were my favorites as well although I did adore the darker Quinn Nickel Azo Gold one as well. Thanks for watching.

It is a great technique and makes printmaking very easy to do multiples. The crazy thing is that each print is very different even though I’m using the same stencil. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment.

Hi, I enjoy your videos, including this one. In general, I love gel printing videos. They're very ASMR for me. I dislike live videos. I don't usually have time to watch long videos-- 20 min is ok, but not hour long videos. I like edited videos, not ones where the person spends 5 min on camera rummaging around looking for something. Your videos are well-edited and a good length. Hope this helps.

New subscriber here. This was fun to watch. Would love to know more about thar great tool you use to open the paints and whether you prefer high flow or fluid acrylics for gel plate prints. Thanks for the video.
Welcome and thank you for subscribing. I hope you will enjoy my other videos as well. That great tool is a beer can opener, they can be purchased on Amazon however I have had these for years and received when I attended trade shows back in the day. Thank goodness for Amazon. High Flow and Fluid Acrylics have very different purposes when gel printing. In many of my videos especially in an older video I discuss the differences between many different types of paints in detail. So it depends on the look you are trying to achieve. Fluids are more consistent, High Flow produces very interesting textures, and Golden Open is a slow drying acrylic which is fabulous when you want additional working time. All incredibly useful and each with a very interesting purpose.

Welcome to my channel and thank you for subscribing. I’m excited for you. The long haul is a fun exciting way of producing a number of prints in a short period of time. You will love it. Funny you should ask about about what to do with the prints I just dropped a new video where I make bookmarks out of my long haul prints. It just went live this morning. There are many things you can do with them. You can actually frame them as the wet strength tissue is acid free and should last for years. I’m not sure about other tissue papers but I have also used regular print paper on the long haul with good results. I have other videos that show me using regular print paper. There is one from a year ago where I use my tree strip stencils and I do the long haul and use my favorite print paper. Thank you again. I’m delighted to have you as a subscriber.
