Silphymon vs Red Hybrid -- BT-16 Matchplay Preview

We are back with some more commentary! TJ and Ben go through some matches as the crew is practicing for BT-16. We are bringing back some casual BT-16 match ups so that you all can learn what these decks do and how they work. Today we have Ben playing his Silphymon build going up against Jorel playing Red Hybrid. In the future, we will be looking to get more variety out there for you guys but for now enjoy two very powerful decks for BT-16!

In my limited testing with SIlphy, it just feels like it and Shakkoumon really need what Imperial got in bt12, on top of the bt16 stuff. The lvl 4s that gain 1 memory when they DNA would be huge for each deck.

Controversial option, but I like that duel color rookies cost something to evo and that duel color cards cost 1 more to evo then the normal cost. I know there are a few duel colors that evo for the regular cost

6:18 what card was making it that Jorel chose to attack silphy with aguni instead of attacking open security for game? Atomic inferno was played on it, giving it security attack +1 to even out the security attack -1 from Venusmon right? I’m really not familiar with the silphymon cards, if one of the inherits was the reason

tbh I wasn't thinking about that, valkyrie ace could've probably gotten me if he had it but I don't remember what that does either
I was probably just more focused on not losing rather than winning lol

Sylphy has been a very interesting deck to try and piece together.
I opted not to run movie Yolei because she was dead in my hand more times than not. And replaced her with Memory setter Tai and TK.
In addition, I decided to cut BT16 Gato to 2 and run 3 of BT15 Gato for the Barrier Inheritable.
I also decided to cut old Sylphy to 2 and run BT16 DINOBEE ass it can still be made and brings back a body with Free from the trash.

Should definitely swung with harpy to recover one and than swing with syliphi for the last 2 check and won game from that

8:22 you would pop the flamemon. the -7k and pop a 4k are different on evo effects. you would -7k on the aguni, trigger on delete, trigger on play, then trigger other on evo to pop flamemon. Player prio doesn't matter here as an effect triggers a new effect.

i believe that is incorrect, because dp checks only after an effect is finished. That effect is still going

@@shen2905 yup. When Digivolving, if dna digivolving one opposing digimon gains -7k until end of opponent's turn. When digivolving/when attacking delete an opponent's digimon with 4k or less dp

@@cinimod.9 yes. but for 1 cost, or onto Nyaromon for 0. he didn't pay the 1 for evolving onto a red
