AMAZING scenes. Love the family dynamic. Elizabeth KNEW he wasn't right. She saw it and she felt it in her soul. Jason needs to spend his days making it right with his sons and putting them first. They need to be his focus 24/7. Steve and Becky fell right back into their storytelling magic. Hudson West is talented and crushed these scenes. There is a whole lot of story to tell here. If the writing continues in this direction I will be back as a full time viewer.
Best episode since Steve's return for me. I'm so here for the conflict Jake's anger hopefully creates. I want to see Jason have to work to earn his son's trust and have Elizabeth bridge peace between them. Steve, Becky & Hudson did a FANTASTIC job. Bravo to all. #Liason

I hope the writers finally have Jason have a father relationship with his two sons.. because they need him and Jason needs his boys in his life. He needs to be a father to Jake and Danny and not to Carly and Sonny kids anymore.
In order for Jason to do that he's going have to once he's cleared of this mess with the Feds and Pikemen is to leave Sonny and the mob alone for awhile until the next crisis comes along that Sonny creates for himself that he can't get out of without Jason's help. Just when Jason starts to find peace, bring on the drama that Sonny will bring on.
Carly is the number one support of Jason spending time with his kids He is the one that always doesnt He is the one that chooses to stay away for some nonsense of his is protecting them That is all on him

I understand Jake is hurt, but he's not wrong. Jason cant keep showing up & disappearing, then expect everyone to welcome him with open arms again. Thats not how life works & this scene is that in a nutshell.
Hudson West is so good! Jason deserved every bit of that. "And you came back just as soon as you could right?" "No". Jake's "no" was so deflated and sad. When Jake yelled "THEN GO!" Jason was devastated but maybe he can finally understand how his own father felt. Being rejected by a son you love more then anything. I've never doubted Jason's love for Jake. When he was a baby Jason yearmed to be part of his little boys life. Jake is entitled to his feelings 100%. And the way Jake spoke about him later he didn't sound to much like the absentee father as he appeared on screen.
I love that Jake said that when jason "died" that Jake wanted was one more conversation with jason. He definitely misses jason a lot more than he's letting on. He's just letting his anger and fear of abandonment take control right now. Jake has lost so much in these last few years. It makes sense he's going so hard on jason right now. 2015, jake built a bond with Drew as he thought he was jason. 2017, lost drew as his "father" because jason came back. Then got the chance to build a relationship with jason as his father. Lost franco for a bit and almost for good due to memory mapping crisis. Then he really lost Drew due to his plane crashing soon after. Lost franco for good due to Peter a year or two after that. Then lost Jason in 2021. And now Jason's back again. The kid has been through a lot and is afraid jason will just disappear again leaving him without a dad yet again. I just hope jason comes around Jake a lot more and tries to show him how much he loves him.

Jake is just hurt and feels abandoned right now, he just needs time to cool off and realize how much jason loves him. Loved the jason and liz scenes too. They've still got that 🔥 chemistry. I hope they put them back together one day. Or at the very least put their friendship back on track. Loved that liz defended jason to jake, but is also partially on jakes side. And although jason hasn't spent a whole lot of time with Jake, Jake is always on Jason's mind. Jason even used Jake's name as an alias when he went undercover. Jason used the name "Alan Jacobs". He used his father's name and the name of his firstborn son. And one of the very first stops jason made as soon as he was free to roam around, was to go see Jake and Liz. Jake is always on Jason's mind wherever he goes.
I think it's because Jake has been through this before and is older, he already grew faith in him last time he was around and was let down. He is more realistic about his father but also grown a bit jaded. Danny is still in that idealistic stage, but he'll probably learn the same hard truth his big brother did and was trying to brace him for. Unless they REALLY change Jason's character this time around, but they haven't since 1996 so.

I'm glad somebody said it the way Jason treated his parents back in the day because of a memory loss was disgusting and now he wants sympathy from his own kid that he chose to give up because he could not stop his lifestyle or choices. Now he wants to be a dad when he feels like it no.
Liason scenes are always the best! And Jake was awesome. I hope we get to see more of them. Jason and Elizabeth's friendship was always special. Now I hope the writers strengthen their bond and please have Jason repair the damage he's created with his sons. Personally I would like to see Jason have a more endearing love for his first born son, like he was when he held his baby for the first time. For those who aren't aware, go back and look it up. I think Jake in his heart knows he can trust his dad, hell, Jake knew this years ago when he was younger and everyone blamed Jason for shooting Franco. What’s happening here is that Jake is just scared and hurt so he’s lashing out. Hell, the fact that he feels safe enough to lash out shows a degree of recognition that his dad is a safe place as Jason even noted. Jake will come around, he’s just scared that as soon as things get settled his dad will disappear again. Once the truth comes out, Jake will realize. It’s understandable that someone who’s had a turbulent childhood and a string of dad figures come in and out of his life would feel scared and put his guard up.

This scene was awkward again! Everytime Liz sees Jason they always have hugged and there was not one hug even when she told him she was glad he wasn’t dead! So the only person Jason can hug is Carly, I thought this writing was supposed to be better and believable 🤦🏾♀️
Actually, Jake is right. Jake, Elizabeth have NEVER been more important than Sonny, Carly, Michael then later Sam and Danny. Elizabeth and her boys have always been thrown away. And yet, here she is, still defending Jason, and knowing something major is wrong with him.
Call me impressed. These scenes exceeded my expectations. In my perfect world I would have had Jason being called out for his 'bad' secrets ... while NOT trashing Liason (who RARELY are ever given quality time together) ... while also showing Elizabeth and her boys as a solid family unit. Earlier, I would have predicted "this won't all happen by any means". Instead, it's like my wishes came true.
When Jake said "would you believe you?" My. Answer Is yes, I would. Jason is who he is and he does what he does, but he doesn't lie about it or try to misrepresent himself. He's one of the more honest characters on the show in spite of everything.
Jason being " who he is" doesn't make it easy for his children who are at ages where they are figuring out their own identities and pathways. His kids feelings and struggles with his choices should come first at this point. Hopefully he will continue to realize that.

It would make me mad if the person didn't explain anything, but if someone that has a reputation for being honest asked me to believe them, I would try to give them the benefit of the doubt. at least I'd like to think I would. I hope the Jason's return story focuses on him becoming a better dad to his kids, he was so good with Michael, that should translate to Jake and Danny.
Hudson West is a talented young actor. He was fantastic is this scene as evidence by some fans reaction to this episode. I can see why Jake is upset. Like I figured, he is angry and hurt that his dad let him believe he was dead and feels like Jason abandoned him. And he isn't wrong for feeling that way. Even Jason said he understands if he feels hurt and angry. I'm glad Elizabeth sat Jake down and told him Jason loves him and explained that his dad doesn't make things up, he tells the truth, and he doesn't lie. She also told him that Jason won't give up on him and will keep showing up until Jake realizes he loves him. I just hope the writers give Jason and Jake a chance to rebuild their relationship.
I agree. Jason and Liz have more history than Carly or Sam and the writers always putting her own the back burner. I salute Elizabeth, because she is a single mom raising three boys and supporting them as a working mom. Should put her and Jason back together again. They had fire 🔥 chemistry together, til the writers messed up Liz character back then. She has really come a long way from then.

I can totally see Hudson West's "Jake" be the new Lucky and take the teen stage my storm. He's so charistic. Find him an actress that has the same charisma and give them a great SL......I have no doubt teen super couple just like Liz and Lucky. They could even do a Luke and Lucky play with Jason and Jake. Liz's days of asking jason to stay away for Jake's safety have been gone since Jake "died" in 2011. Ever since Jake came back in 2015 and since jason came back in 2017, liz has no problem with the danger anymore. She's encouraged Jake to get to know jason as his father. And wants Jason to be a father to Jake. They both realized their mistake when Jake "died" in 2011.

I think it's because Jake has been through this before and is older, he already grew faith in him last time he was around and was let down. He is more realistic about his father but also grown a bit jaded. Danny is still in that idealistic stage, but he'll probably learn the same hard truth his big brother did and was trying to brace him for. Unless they REALLY change Jason's character this time around, but they haven't since 1996 so.
Jason know now how Alan and Monica felt back in the day when he was pushing them away The difference is Monica Alan was always in Jason’s life He just lost his memory, didn’t have to act like that towards them But his a no good father to Jake, want him just to forgive him and trust him. What a hypocrite. I see people in the comments saying Jason is a good father. I want to know if Jason was a real person. Would you want that type of person in your kids life?
I'm glad somebody said it the way Jason treated his parents back in the day because of a memory loss was disgusting and now he wants sympathy from his own kid that he chose to give up because he could not stop his lifestyle or choices. Now he wants to be a dad when he feels like it no.

Liason scenes are always the best! And Jake was awesome. I hope we get to see more of them. Jason and Elizabeth's friendship was always special. Now I hope the writers strengthen their bond and please have Jason repair the damage he's created with his sons. Personally I would like to see Jason have a more endearing love for his first born son, like he was when he held his baby for the first time. For those who aren't aware, go back and look it up. It was some of the best Liason moments. 💖

I think Jake in his heart knows he can trust his dad, hell, Jake knew this years ago when he was younger and everyone blamed Jason for shooting Franco. What’s happening here is that Jake is just scared and hurt so he’s lashing out. Hell, the fact that he feels safe enough to lash out shows a degree of recognition that his dad is a safe place as Jason even noted. Jake will come around, he’s just scared that as soon as things get settled his dad will disappear again. Once the truth comes out, Jake will realize. It’s understandable that someone who’s had a turbulent childhood and a string of dad figures come in and out of his life would feel scared and put his guard up.

This scene was awkward again! Everytime Liz sees Jason they always have hugged and there was not one hug even when she told him she was glad he wasn’t dead! So the only person Jason can hug is Carly, I thought this writing was supposed to be better and believable 🤦🏾♀️
Actually, Jake is right. Jake, Elizabeth have NEVER been more important than Sonny, Carly, Michael then later Sam and Danny. Elizabeth and her boys have always been thrown away. And yet, here she is, still defending Jason, and knowing something major is wrong with him.
Call me impressed. These scenes exceeded my expectations. In my perfect world I would have had Jason being called out for his 'bad' secrets ... while NOT trashing Liason (who RARELY are ever given quality time together) ... while also showing Elizabeth and her boys as a solid family unit. Earlier, I would have predicted "this won't all happen by any means". Instead, it's like my wishes came true.

When Jake said "would you believe you?" My. Answer Is yes, I would. Jason is who he is and he does what he does, but he doesn't lie about it or try to misrepresent himself. He's one of the more honest characters on the show in spite of everything.

Jake knows this in his heart, but he’s a kid who’s scared so he’s lashing out. Once things calm down and the truth comes out, he will be okay.
Jason being " who he is" doesn't make it easy for his children who are at ages where they are figuring out their own identities and pathways. His kids feelings and struggles with his choices should come first at this point. Hopefully he will continue to realize that.
@cls3201 I agree with you 100% his choices are rough for his kids. It would make me mad if the person didn't explain anything, but if someone that has a reputation for being honest asked me to believe them,
I would try to give them the benefit of the doubt. at least I'd like to think I would. I hope the Jason's return story focuses on him becoming a better dad to his kids, he was so good with Michael, that should translate to Jake and Danny.
Hudson West is a talented young actor. He was fantastic is this scene as evidence by some fans reaction to this episode.
I can see why Jake is upset. Like I figured, he is angry and hurt that his dad let him believe he was dead and feels like Jason abandoned him. And he isn't wrong for feeling that way. Even Jason said he understands if he feels hurt and angry. I'm glad Elizabeth sat Jake down and told him Jason loves him and explained that his dad doesn't make things up, he tells the truth, and he doesn't lie. She also told him that Jason won't give up on him and will keep showing up until Jake realizes he loves him. I just hope the writers give Jason and Jake a chance to rebuild their relationship.

Liz's days of asking jason to stay away for Jake's safety have been gone since Jake "died" in 2011. Ever since Jake came back in 2015 and since jason came back in 2017, liz has no problem with the danger anymore. She's encouraged Jake to get to know jason as his father. And wants Jason to be a father to Jake. They both realized their mistake when Jake "died" in 2011.
