- This is the first video from my Olympic Peninsula trip with my Camper Van! In this Cutthroat Trout Catch & Cook, we do some bobber fishing for trout on a beautiful river, deep in the Olympic National Park. Olympic peninsula fishing is a special (and wet) adventure. We had a ton of fun and will show Salmon fishing with bobber and eggs next! First, enjoy this river Trout fishing adventure and a delicious catch clean cook!

Love hearing this Steven! So glad you are enjoying the videos, and that they're inspiring you to record your own adventures. I've been recording my catches for years now, and one day just said, that's it - I'm starting a CZcams channel! The original expectation was not that it would grow much (as the competition nowadays is ridiculous), but rather it would be an artistic outlet, and a great platform for me to simply store memories, so I could re-live them later. I highly recommend doing it. I still love watching some of the older videos (and cringe at others 🤣), and really see the channel growing surprisingly fast as more of a bonus. I was going to do the videos regardless of channel growth. I use pretty simple equipment for all of my recording. 90% is done with a GoPro and my IPhone X. I'll gladly make a video one of these days on my recording setup, and MAYBE ONE DAY will reveal my underwater camera rig that I've built! For now it's a secret I have to keep from other fishing CZcamsrs 😂 🤣 Tight lines man, and let me know if you ever have any other questions. Also would love to see some of videos when you start recording them! 🎣

@@NWFishingSecrets Yes that is a Sea-Run cuttie. In Washington if you use natural bait you have to retain every fish you catch. Please follow that
aaron ortwein what does retaining of a fish mean is that like just keeping it and if so why do you have to keep a fish
@@warmfish5732 It was made a law due to people using corn in a lot of lakes as bait. Fish cannot digest corn and they die if it gets in their belly. We all know that fish usually swallow natural bait and removing the hook can cause damage to their gills and throat. Not my favorite regulation but I follow it
Yes but some have white belly's there lots of different looking sea run cutthroat even if there same system

I have been invited to my friends place in Grahm (from - Ohio) and I would like to get my two boys (12 & 14) on fish like you just did. You made it look so calm and relaxing. You're so lucky to have these rivers! Where I live all we really have is pike minnow in the local creek. Occasionally we have a trout or two, but fishing is still great.

Gorgeous cutty . Sea run cutts will develop those belly spots when fresh from ocean and they enter freshwater. That’s how you can tell between native cutts and sea runs.

Pikeminnow are native. Down here on the Columbia. There is a bounty on them down here on the Columbia. They’re the single most badass predator on salmonoids .

When you are using a bait casting rod i haven’t ever used one but my cousin always moves his whole body when setting the hook he twists his body and it is a lot better hook set and if you give a small flick with the hands its really good i don’t fish for trout that often either its normally bass when we use bait casters but just a little tip for bait caster rods and reels

I'm in Puyallup and want to fish a creek so bad, but apparently none around me have fish in them. I've tried with little success the north fork of the snoqalmie above the fall, most of it was too shallow and spent most of my time driving and scoping it out. I dont want to know your honey holes, just a creek name and a semi broad section of it would work so I can find my own area would be sweet. I'm on waguns if you happen to be a member too. In the hunting fishing section I made a squid post the other day. Message me there

Thank you so much! It was a great time out there... So she is supposedly a Boxer/Swiss Mountaindog mix. But we are 99% sure she’s Boxer/Pitbull. She was a rescue, so we believe the shelter said Boxer/Swiss Mountain dog, to avoid people freaking out about the Pitbull part 🤣
