One of the major defects they haven't mentioned is the sideview mirror has to be adjusted by rolling down the window glasses. Nowadays, even in the Mid segment Maruti Alto have the option to change into adjustable. From Renault I didn't expect that.

I like this knob system, it offers much better space in the cabin and this car could also get the same 6-seating configuration as in offered in "Mahindra KUV 1OO" ☺️
This is the smoothest AMT on offer to Indian customers looking for a hustle free entry level hatch.
Looks interesting. The gear knob reminds me of Mahindra REVA as it had a similar placement with no gear stick.
Everybody is more worried about Cup-holder...
quite soon they will have a mini bar / pantry inside the Car....

Knight of Christ Jesus If you go for a long drive you'll understand the need for cup holders. I drove a rental Scorpio for 3 days and it did not have any cupholder. You have no idea, how inconvenient it was for me. I was drinking diet coke cans. Once they are opened there is no place to put them. So yes. Cup holders play a big role in a car's ergonomics.
Headstone one could always get third party cup holders installed, its not a dealbreaker
I inquired for an entry level car with a main concern of exteriors and looks. Thankfully this video helped me to remain stuck over my idea of buying kwid only. Thanks Autocar India!

As always a crisp and usable review for someone considering for automatic over manual by Renuka Kirpalani....
The knob looks quite practical as is expected from what is apparently marketed as a daily commuter
yes, it does have a GPS NAVIGATION system...but only in RXT Version
Please try to take it to lonavala slopes or the s slope at Pali Hill and stop start there.. I tried the wagon r there.. it was awesome.. please try this too
i saw the Knob and i was done with the idea of owning this car...

i would have preferred a gear knob with manual override like maruti n well creep function is a blessing in bumper to bumper traffic

While it is a good innovation by Renault, it's about time that we also consider the safety aspect and demand features like good build quality, dual front airbags, ABS and EBD in all cars. The price of these technologies is not geater than the price of our lives.

The kinda review of the new kwid amt i was waiting for.... I was really skeptical about its stop go situation on an incline. Still i need answers like with no manual mode available.. If do to went i need to hold a gear... Say to crawl up frm a underground parking spot or to overtake on the highway. Need answers.
Wl try to go fr a test drive of this car which i know is too much to expect in the place i m ryt now with no automatic car buyers. Damn

The knob is like old usha mixer grinder, hard to find in difficult situations, hand vl always reach to the manual shifting.... Better if thy hd placed d knob near tat handbrake
try come out from underground parking with 5 passengers and luggage.

Manuel Jose Kolanchery just put it in neutral if you dont want to have your foot on the break, and dont want to creep...

Is there any PARK mode?? or in general while parking the car where's the knob placed?? As visibly theres no P mode on the knob?
I think you just need to engage the hand brake!! that is your P mode in this car :)

Sir, I have purchased Renault CLIMBER AMT car yesterday.. I never knew to drive a car.. But now I want to know that can I get a Driving Licence by driving AMT car?? As I don't know to drive a manual car.. Please answer if only AMT car licence is allowed by RTO or not
Why don't you do a comparison between Alto K10 AMT & Kwid 1.0 AMT? It ll be very much useful because v trust Maruti & confused whether kwid really makes sence in case of AMT & engine refineness.

great review and this seems to be a good AMT variant and i like the storage space in the cabin.
I wish we had this car in Egypt with the same price. Not the best car in the world, but a car with the same specs here in Egypt will cost you double the price of the Kwid or even more.

Madam ji, Aapki angrezi iitni samajh nahi aayi par phir bhi kuch kuch samajhne ki koshish ki. kwid maine 2 mahine pehle kharidi. main ghaziabad ka rehne wala hun. kwid ke baarein mein kahu toh kwid ek behtareen car hai. mujhe kwid ki power aur milage kafi behtar lagta hai. sabsi acchi baat car kafi hatke dekhti hai.

Can anybody say what gear is the car in when its in creep mode ? It can't be on 1st gear since creep mode fails completely when the car is on an incline

how about hill assist? unlike other amt it doesn't have manual mode where u can use it. Like tata amt cars or maruti amt.
Crepe mode should have been included. I don't think it is suitable for hill driving.

That is wrong and incorrect advice.
One should always engage the handbrake on an incline and not allow the vehicle to slip back like that on any incline .
This is true of both manual or auto -transmission vehicles which do not have any sort of hill-hold or assist.
The Quid lacks a crawl or creep mode and this would be a dis-advantage on such inclines.
Hi! Am planning to buy a AMT(automatic) car in low budget!!So I came up with new kwid Easy-R Amt.This car don't have feature creeping!! So Is that bad?? Or is it good??

It is an individual preference.
But creep mode is very convenient in parallel parking,slow moving traffic where just working on the brake gets you by.
Creep mode is also helpful while starting on a slope.
