I can definitely see Henry Cavill as Lion-o, and Alexandra Daddario as Pumyra. Terry Crews would make a good Panthro. Jason Mamoa would make a good Grune. Sebastian Stan would make a good Tygra. Good choices. (Unfortunately I am not familiar with the work of the other actors you suggested.) You should definitely see this video to the Hollywood head honchos.
After his portrayal of Raz-al-Ghul in Batman Begins, I can picture Liam Neeson as Yaga. But where's the Monkeyman who hunted the Thundercats with the Reptilian and Jackalman?
Alan Tudyk would be great as snarf. If you have not seen it he is in Tucker and Dale vs Evil and I did not realize that it was him in Transformers as the Butler. Cannot remember if it was the 2nd or 3rd movie though, I think it was the third since the Sector 6 guy was in a dlei in part 2.
He Man and Thundercats would be one hell of a crossover story. Maybe Skeletor is joining forces with Mum-Ra and the Thundercats have to join forces with the masters of the universe to protect the world from them?

This I really liked. They all looked awesome and I would totally see this in the theater more than once. Skeletor especially looked badass
Michael Jai White as Panthro (martial arts skills for him is a must), Hugh Jackman as Tigra (stature) and Charlize Theron as Cheetara (because come on). Defoe is a nice pick, I'd consider Benedict Cumberbatch also as Mum-Ra.
I could see Gary Oldman as Mum-Ra too. Definitely should have Michael Jai White as Panthro.
I disagree with Michael Jai White as Panthro. I think, Djimon Hounsou, fits the bill better, he has a spirit of wisdom, calm, and discipline, that he conveys on film very well, very natural.
@@kevnhelmgubbenheimer7760 have you seen Blood and Bone or Never Back Down 3? MJW IS that guy. In every sense of what you described. Djimon is great too but not on that skill level. If they ever did a Thindercats movie right and did the trials that Lion-o needs to complete to be the true leader if the Thundercats, and he has to challenge all the cats in their specialties, he needs to fight Panthro 1 on 1 and granted, not many in real life could beat MJW but still, that's how it would and should go down, hand to hand, and MJW could sell it. Plus he has that Panthro voice already lol
