- Oasis - Gas Panic! (Live Jools Holland)
What toungeless ghost of sin crept through my curtains
sailing on a sea of sweat on a stormy night
i think he don't got a name but i can't be certain
and in me he starts to confide
that my family don't see so familiar
and my enemies all know my name
and if you hear me tap on your window
you better get on your knees and pray
panic is on the way
my pulse pumps out a beat to the ghost dancer
my eyes are dead and my throat's like a black hole
and if there's a god would he give another chancer
an hour to sing for his soul
that my family don't see so familiar
and my enemies all know my name
and when you hear me tap on your window
you better get on your knees and pray
panic is on the way
cause my family don't see so familiar
and my enemies all know my name
and when you hear me tap on your window
then you get on your knees and you better pray
cause my family don't see so familiar
and my enemies all know my name
and when you hear me tap on your window
you better get on your knees and pray
panic is on the way
panic is on the way - Hudba
The only seven-minute song that isn't long enough.
Pinky Stomper ikr
All of be here now
@@seleykosanikatwr9272 This!
Champagne supernova?
@@thebatman4279 he came in me too
They took a critical kicking after 1997. In retrospect all of their albums have at least two or three classic songs. This is one of them. I ain't a drug addict, but this song just weeps sweat, paranoia and pain. Oasis changed over the years, thank God. Noel is a class song writer, and a natural wit. Liam is the ultimate frontman, all handsome, winsome and cocky. The perfect blend, really.
It was the "theme" to my four days of withdrawl hell, 6 weeks ago, never looked back- except to this epic performance of an epic tune by an epic band, I'll say epic more next time I comment
I haven’t had drug withdrawals but I HAVE had panic attacks so yes
@@frasercheyne8332 I hope you’re doing well
most under rated song they ever wrote
@@jackshayler8895 But cant sing it like Liam
Personally i think Roll It Over was. Freaking masterpiece
@@eriksorrells333 congratulations, a random internet person (me) agrees with you. Use this knowledge to change the world.
This and let’s all make believe of which Liams vocal was par excellence. It was only a b side to go let it out sadly.
Erik Sorrells best song they made.
damm liam nailed that shit
For real though
Easily some of Noel's most haunting lyrics.
most underrated tune....
and album in general
Lightning Bolt my favorite Oasis record...
i like how those two assholes debase this their very own album in general. and this song. liam ran his mouth about gas panic if i remember right.
even the number of thumbs up of your comment is underrated
It should have been the title of SOTSOG maybe.
I don’t care what anyone says, this is an amazing song from an excellent album.
I can't see anyone saying it's bad though?
Well i think it sucks!! Kidding its my fav song of theirs 😂
Noels guitar playing here is absolutely brilliant.
Jayy Berrisford average solo, he's just using a wah wah pedal
most of his solo's are average and he would say , he's solo's are mainly loops of notes - is a Clapton or Hendrix - absolutely not - but its the choice of the artist to come up with it and to choose the pedals to make the song brilliant is the key - thanks you Noel!
but it sounds fucking amazing! Who cares how he plays it?
It doesn't make it amazing if it's complex it's the sound that comes out and Noel nails it. Underrated imo
Peak of his powers for sure. The tone is great on that les Paul and solo is gravy. It’s the most psych they got, wish they would have explored more, almost Kulashaker like here for me. Drums and bass sound great
I will never understand why SOTSOG is so underrated
Padraig Stephen Dooley total disagree.
SOTSOG is very underrated album.
How you can say roll it over, where did all go wrong, sunday morning ,fuckin in the bushes and who feels love are bad.
SMC,Wher did,WFL and Gas Panic are 300 better live
Roll it over was never played live but its still my personal favorite.
SOTSOG is better than BHN by a mile. I can see a liar is the only bad song on SOTSOG
Oasis - I can see a liar Live [DVD Quality] - Chk it out and let me know what u think.
You got me there, that was fucking epic. Liam gave it his all, band where fucking tight to.
SOTSOG is my favourite Oasis record. It's a classic.
Noel solo is pure class.
Liam's voice is the best thing happened in my life
Amen to that! Liam's voice is pure therapy for me honestly
If I could sing like Liam, I would be happy for eternity.
If Liam could sing like Liam I'm pretty sure he'd be right chuffed.
Padraig Stephen Dooley Well he has. He got a professional to look at his voice and it turns out that all those years he was singing straight up at the sky were straining his vocal chords badly. You'll notice now that he sings straight ahead these days.
las escribia en su mayoria noel¡¡¡ en tonos muy altos¡¡. y liam se esforzaba mucho en cantarlas por eso fue perdiendo la voz, esa voz tan grave cantando tan alto.. es increible¡¡¡
Lucky me I could XD (i guess lol)
Check out my covers on my channel :)
MorningChemistry pretty good
One of those songs that sounds even better live than on the album. Best song on SOTSOG I reckon.
ALISTAIR MACDONALD, Same Man!!! A lot of there Tuuuuunes sound Better Live!!! Probably the whole of SOTSOG & BHN as well!!!
Couldn’t agree more with you. I’ve never met a true Oasis fan who hasn’t had this monster in their top 5.
great song probably one of the most underrated oasis song love it
Stuart Mccrimmon from the cloud Mccrimmon...it's all true x
such a unique voice
I've looked up "underrated" in the Dictionary. The only definition was "Oasis-Gas Panic".
Watching this video i totally get it. Intense song with a godlike bass-line, lyrics, solo. A real masterpeace of music history.
His voice is mint here at its best
I think this is one of Oasis's best live performances/songs.
The familiar to millions version is better I think. Still pretty mega
Rock in Rio is better mate
Liam can channel a tremendous pure evil, it's like an antenna from hell
What do you mean?
*I see it , hahah proper madman*
Tightest band there ever was. And the voice of a generation. The very definition of born to do it..
Perfect vocal from liam here 👌
An absolutely brilliant song, one of my all time favourite Oasis numbers. Sheer attitude, hard driving dark lyrics and hard driving music. Good stuff.
I saw them perform this at Leeds 2000 and it's been my favourite oasis song since that night.
Should have done more songs like this CLASS.
haha wtf
SERENITY10 Born on a different cloud, roll it over, magic pie and outta time are very similar
The greatest rock and roll band out there. Liam just stood there saying "Let's ave it" 😎
amazing vocals in this performance
fucking brilliant!! this song is one of their most underrated
one of the best oasis songs ever
Always been one of my favorite Oasis tracks...one of Noel's more underrated songs. Brilliant stuff! I remember the days when Liam could actually hit all his notes!!
BlueMonk25 he's back
The way liam walks always looks like hes got a couple of heavy lidl bags sending him off balance.
Liams voice is insane
to me this is the quintessential look of Liam...The coat..the hair..the glasses..God like!!!! HERE SHE COMES!!
this is by far the best performance of gas panic on the internet or on any CD, and maybe the best singing I've ever heard Liam do live. totally awesome.
Wembley 2000 is even better
I couldn't agree more,@@stephen7865.
@@giuseppegrasso4596 Rock in Rio 2001 version is great too
This is class, but for me the Wembley live version is better 😁
@@traleedynamo Wembley version got the benefit of being mixed properly while Jools' performances often sound a bit wacked out
the drums in this are on another level
pcfaulkner listen to the bass too. Damn they should have keep it like this
In my top 5 of Oasis songs easily!
this lady's and gentlemen is.... a fucking tune!
Dont care in what the people say. Noel is a great guitarrist. Cheers from Brazil.
This is the best live version of this song.
1993-2002 ... When Liam actually was the best singer in the world.
He's back.
I think you mean...
(1992 - Present)
And the best tambourine player
@@bert3840 You have to admit 2006 was dreadful. Check out the Buenos Aires performance.
@@thebatman4279 ye but that's the past in the present he's fucking mega
This song sums up oasis perfectly noel as genius songwriter and guitarist with Liam spitting out the words with unmatched venom.... Like noel said in Aquiesce BECAUSE WE NEED EACH OTHER
What an absolute fantastic live performance,God I miss em!
Right but is there any reason on gods green earth why this son lasts for 7 mins..? Shoot them self in the foot with that! 5 mins plenty.
should last 7 years son.....
Keith Richards try lisening to the mustique demo all the way through
Cole Vance I did, its good isn't it?
Keith Richards ohh yea long asf tho
Oasis are musical fucking gods. That's all there is.
This is an epic song, haunting and meaningful. Oozes class, written from the heart. Oasis. Pure. Genius.
wow, this is great!!!
Liam looks like Lennon!
Liam is the best singer of the world, since 1995!!!
No doubt about that!!!
Its good listening to this song when you are coming off drugs especially benzos! Panic is on the way!!!
This is an incredible song, the lyrics, the music and of course the singing.
I love how Oasis never needed to run around or do anything crazy on-stage to put on a good show. The music did it all.
Fuck me Liams voice is just incredible, real music by real people with real meaning to millions love you lads long live oasis. LIVE FOREVER
His voice here is haunting!! Class!!!
I love how you start to get to know a band (yes I know 25 years late) and you go over all their familiar songs, their best hits, acoustic, demo versions, live versions and then you encounter something like this song and this live performance.. biblical!
Liam + Noel here >>>>>>> Liam + Noel in Familiar to millions
this is pure 70s stoner music, fucking love it!
Ron Lockhart considering it was released in 2000...
@@andyfulton9603 he’s saying it sounds like it lol
@@ivee3885 yeah not sure why I commented that looking back 🤣
Such an underrated song
Anybody that doesn't agree Liam is the coolest guy ever, should watch this!
This could be my favourite of Liam’s vocal performances. At the peak of his powers!
Liam has a voice you either love or hate. I just fucking love it.
This is Oasis at their best...man did they Fuckin nail that or what!
One of my best mates and a fellow oasis head , when we first started foaming together over oasis , he said this was his favourite song and for a good few months I could never get it or remotely agree... After a while though , being fucked up in the early hours ... That's when this song starts to work it's magic. It's an absolute tune and it speaks to people who chase the highs of life
Liam looks so goood in here ;) really cool sunglasses
Best live version
Beast of a song!
Up there with the great rock songs of all time. Amazing vocals, amazing guitars, amazing bass, solid drums.
lyrics that give an amazing sense of paranoia and desperation and a sound that sends a chiil through the soul. a very underrated tune!
i've been mad fer it for many years but this is probably the best performance by oasis i've ever seen
How good is this.... Guitar solo was epic
That has got to be the best live performance ever...!
god they were good ...
they were god
03:16 is a cool fucking shot!
Nice one
a fucking cum shot ?
jools says it all really with the introduction... one of the best bands Britain's ever produced"! .. no jools get it right... the best band
No lets get it right, theBeatles!
Led Zepplin You mongs. Although, I would say I have come across no other band in Oasis that has a greater collection of songs I wouldn't skip. The death of John Bonham hugely influenced that.
Plenty of better
This song describes the panic attack so perfectly
Liams voice is bang on here gas panic is such an underrated tune
Best version ever !!
SOTSOG such an underrated album.
Oasis' forth best.
Liam's raspy voice on it so satisfying to listen.
The best vocal performance by Liam.
Best oasis song
This concert is burned in my memory.....f......epic!
Best Liam ever
Great lyrics...some of Noels best
Around this time was when Liam was still truly great, absolutely fucking awesome.
incredible well written dark lyrics in an amazingly composed song taking a huge complex psychedelic turn.and then some guy tells me that my favorite band is a "huge beatles ripoff, all of their songs sound the same with their happy tunes and lame guitar riffs, they're a pile of shit and hope they never reunite letting their only shitty hit (wonderwall) slowly die" .. I told him Oasis will...*puts on sunglasses* ..Live Forever :3 .. so you better get on your knees and pray, panic is on the way!
Baha Omari Some people have NO CLUE!!!!!!!!
Baha Omari This song takes me back to 1999.... I was 18 years old driving across America in the middle of the night during a thunderstorm listening to this album and this was my favorite track ;)
+professormacdeezy That seems like the perfect atmosphere for this song. it's my favorite track as well ;)
One of Noel’s best compositions, without a doubt. Underrated.
That guy is clearly a frustrated guy
That little jam at the end gives me goosebumps
Defiantly one of there best. Top quality
This is pure genius.
this I think the best OASIS live performance EVER!!!! they loaded with the right dosage of fuckin shit men look at noel his fuckin nailing it, this band if given the right amount of drugs the're the best ever.
Noel looks like he’s high when playing the solos, I mean it must feel amazing for him to play that first solo. It’s sublime
'My pulse pumps out a beat to the ghost dancer' fucking epic
Probably best studio performance
Who said Noel can't play
One of the best Oasis songs ever written
Liam sounds crackin' here. So good
FANTASTIC!
Liam is the only person on the planet who can sing this song,
I mean Noel sings it pretty well too
@@Drenwickification Um. No.
@@2ndgenmonkfan306 okay you’re right nobody else on the planet can sing this song 🤷♂️
Happy now kid?
@@Drenwickification I didn't say all that bruh, but for sure no one wants to hear Noel sing it. Can't capture the spirit like Liam does. Just keep writing them Chief.
And who feels love
Awesome performance of an Oasis classic, strange how bands always seem to perform at their very best when on Jools Holland show.
Liams voice! Wow! Just Wow!
Best live song they ever did
One of liams best vocal performances this
Love listening to this over and over and over
Gives me goosebumps. EPIC!
Perfect performance
What a performance!
Absolutely perfect.
