Ordering my 2023 GR A91-MT Supra didn't go as planned. Mark Ups and Changes are made to the interior

- Trying to get a specific car in this pandemic isn't easy. And when dealerships are taking advantage and adding mark ups on the car make it even worse.
In today's video I visited 2 dealerships, and both of them had mark ups on cars that they don't even know when they will be getting in or so.
If you are like me and is interested in the 2023 A91-MT GR Supra and you know a dealer that isn't charging mark ups, please let me know!

100% agree! It's been 6 months in the search now. Never thought it would take this long. But still giving away 5K or more doesn't make sence to me!
Longo Toyota in El Monte, CA never charges markup always msrp! I would shop there if you can, however… the allocations vs the waitlist they have is pretty stacked, especially for the manual transmission, probably like 70% of waitlist won’t be getting their manuals anytime soon, but I ordered my 23 Supra 3.0 Premium Auto from them and now Im just waiting. ***Also you can order the manual transmission through selecting 3.0 Premium/3.0 and select the manual and then you’ll have the option for other colors for exterior and interior, only the A91-MN Edition will be spec’d either white or the c u later gray with hazelnut interior with red badging but that is going to be a limited production but good luck to all of you!
Hey Buddy, really appreciate your info! And yes definitely I'm interested in red interior and if I get it in 3.0 I'll take it. Still has same engine and transmission. And eventually I'll swap the wheels anyway.

Auto Nation in Austin told me they do not charge over MSRP
Maybe on regular cars. They ask 10K Markup on Supra
I am on the list for the BASE 3.0 stick. Dealer promised me on the phone the car is @MSRP, no ADM, just have to wait a month or two.
Same here got a phone promise but can't rely on that! Any reason you didn't go premium? Or that is what they had?
goodluck, if you find a dealership that sells msrp please make an update I would love to fly out too and drive it home that way, we as consumer just need to wait for the right moment and will find sticker price💪 I dont support over sticker either especially they got rid of red interior for 2023 sadly

100% agree with that. But dealers think that these cars will hold value and want to earn you possible equity from you!
Lots of Toyota dealers are charging a dealership markup. I ordered my car out in hackensack NJ. Unfortunately it's pretty far from Dallas but I ordered my car for 500 with a 2 month wait. I got a buy order for 62k for the premium MT trim with stratosphere. Good luck on your search!

100% agree. Been wanting those red seats and now they are gone! But overpaying! That's not happening I'll wait if needed. Been talking to some dealers to see who want to help me out
im looking for a red manual premium. 4K markup everywhere i look. i think we gotta eat the markup because they sell really fast and now that its manual they will sell really really fast.
I will personally not absorbe the 5K. But next question. Any reason you are getting the primium over the 3.0?

@@297modz honestly im not sure why as well.....but since we are already 55K into the hole might as well just get the extras......but i looked at the extras and it felt like a joke.......heated seats might be the only thing thats worth it.......but just the technology package or driver assistance package.....and for sure id love to have the HUD. i hear the speakers suck......the brembo breaks arent that great......me i just want the b58 with a big turbo and a straightpipe :P

what is msrp for a91 and taxes include for drive out price you shooting for?

I'd take the 4k, dealers in my area are asking 10k+ just in case they get one, and I secured one allocation for $20k which most likely I'll back out if I find one at $10k lol A91-MT BTW
Damn 20K is a lot of money in my opinion! You can buy a decent Fun RHD car that money
@@297modz Honestly in this car market everything is overpriced, they're asking 9k over for a base Camry Hybrid at couple dealers I asked around. same with the RAV4s. If the car has demand they are gonna squeeze you as much as they can in this current market. I'm mostly likely not gonna pay the 20k, until I'm sure I won't have better options out there. I've called 20 dealers so far, and had no luck. they either say there's no mark up which means they probably won't get it, and if they have a chance of getting it they ask for 10k or 15k.

I understand how you feel about wanting the certain interior that’s why I got my A91 edition for the black/blue interior. As far as the interior if they don’t offer it from factory you might could look in the mk5 Supra forum for people selling their red OEM red seats and steering wheel if they did aftermarket upgrades I know that would be more money in the long run but it would give you what you want and something different from the other MT Supras
Hey buddy, it kind off crossed my mind already to get the red seats eventually thanks for bringing that up! And the red steering wheel I might go aftermarket myself. So definitely I see some options there.
Now the weird thing I always wondered about red interior Supra's why they only made 1 door panel red.

@@297modz They have a decent amount of steering wheels to choose from luckily and that gives you the option to customize the material used on the wheel and stitching color. I just kept mine OEM because the one I liked is the F1 style that requires you to plug it into the OBD2 port. Will keep an eye out on your channel and hopefully will get to see you building a Supra soon \m/

Hope people don't buy them over sticker. But the there are desperate people out there and that ruins the market!
Unfortunately Toyota is not accepting orders, only accepting requests and then you might get the order filled, but there is no guarantee.
Hey! Jups that vibe is what I got from them. They keep going to the list of cars coming in. And want to reserve one of those. But they don't even have a date when they are coming in. So ordering looka like it is not even an option apparently.
@@297modz I agree. I am from Missouri and am first on a list at a local dealer, but they have been honest with me telling me telling me they don’t know what they will get. Good luck finding a honest Toyota dealership. I believe it will get worse now that Toyota just announced they are cutting production back another 40% last week.

There is no red interior for 23 models, it's hazlenut color and they only come in special edition models . btw I ordered a91 manual special edition also paid hefty markup still waiting for it , I see on the site that it shows few more manual in stock at Jerry's toyota and Glen mills toyota. Problem with that is they don't sell out of state.

Also when I was ordering my supra , there's one dealership who was willing to give 100$ off the msrp in Hackensack in New Jersey I don't think if they will have them right now , and not sure if it was manual too.
Haven't found any yet for MRSP. I'm off tomorrow and will be checking to see if I can find anything!

Man I was trying to look into getting the new Z but they’re insane with the markups 30k+ in my area. Thinking about getting a Supra instead in the MT.

Westbury Toyota in NY charging $16k mark up for 2023 3.0 premium 😂. 2023 does not have red interior option. Mkv forum appears to have a few dealerships willing to do MSRP.
Lol I live 5min from there but went to millennium toyota before heading over to hackensack. They were asking for like 75k too!! I was like gtfo of here and just left. Also left a nasty email.
$16 k is ridiculous! Especially on a Premium! I'm really disappointed that there is no more Red interior.
I might get the Regular 3.0 Edition with Alcantara and maybe redo the seats at some point.
I'm not a fan of leather anyways, but for red leather I would have taken it. Now I really need to see my options!
