What I love most about this trilogy is how Liv Tyler’s beauty and grace cast as the most quintessentially perfect Arwen we could ever witness, will live on forever in history. Just as Elrond will remember her in Valinor
Anyone notice how 75% of the photos are not from the movie? They cut so much of her footage. Her and Aragorn first meeting each other, her scenes at Lothlorien with Galadriel, her going to Helm's Deep, the scene with her and her dad on the bridge where he says "I cannot protect you anymore", shots of her hugging her father on her death bead, etc. It would be nice to see these scenes in special features.
I wish they would publish the scene of Arwen and Aragorn dancing in Lothlorien. We get only a glimpse in behind the scenes. Aragorn and Boromir's scene was used instead. And Aragorn was beardless 😉
But Arwen went forth from the House, and the light of her eyes was quenched, and it seemed to her people that she had become cold and grey as nightfall in winter that comes without a star. Then she said farewell to Eldarion, and to her daughters, and to all whom she had loved; and she went out from the city of Minas Tirith and passed away to the land of Lórien, and dwelt there alone under the fading trees until winter came. Galadriel had passed away and Celeborn was also gone, and the land was silent. There at last when the mallorn-leaves were falling, but spring had not yet come, she laid herself to rest upon Cerin Amroth; and there is her green grave, until the world is changed, and all the days of her life are utterly forgotten by men that come after, and elanor and niphredil bloom no more east of the Sea. - The Lord of the Rings, Appendix A, "The tale of Aragorn and Arwen"

@@petemason3336 "Mortals just shuffle off into nothing" No Mortal/men soul once they died go to unknown place that only Eru Know. This is why Dead is referred as the gift of men, since they at least not perished if the world would end unlike elves who bounded with the world ever since their awakening. Some elf like Thingol even wondered if human that had died could rescue them so that they wont snuff out when the world disappear. As the years grow long and Time wears, even the Valar will come to envy the gift of Ilúvatar to the race of Men, that of liberation from the physical world, and the inevitability of loss and sorrows that must come with this existence within Arda. So Arwen, luthien and all elves that choose mortality are, in a way, lucky since they would not stuck in one place until time end.

Please tell me that this is true it makes me feel better .. At least if it's true then she didn't suffer so long and she will joine aragorn soon after his death..
Elrond s'posed to be amazingly handsome with an ageless face as described in the books. See how they portrayed Thranduil in the Hobbit series? That's a good portrayal of an Elven Lord. Now in Elrond's case, that guy has a creepy face that is fine for a cyber demon (agent Smith) but doesn't feel like an elf at all. Plus they dropped the ball with his hair, they look so bloody fake
+Hyperperion comparing the books to the film is confusing considering in the hobbit Tauriel doesn't exist and I'm pretty sure Legolas isn't in it and Radagast barely in the book also. It's a Hollywood movie
Arwen was and still is my role model from Lord of the Rings. Always true, always faithful, always uplifting, always wise, always loving. She was the kind of person who would never waver, even when the world was past saving in the eyes of all sane people who knew the odds. She would rather die than surrender, rather live a short life with love than a long one alone. Not to mention she has a wicked sword... ;)
It's interesting how sometimes we get so dragged into a movie (in this case a masterpiece) that we, in our minds, leave reality and get consumed by a thought of being in a better place. When I watched these movies countless times, I used to imagine myself walking through Middle Earth and then when my mind returned to reality I always felt empty and sad. Hearing this music makes me go back to that place, I even get goosebumps when I listen to this.

Arwen Undomiel queen and goddess of Arnor and Gondor. An true elvish goddess worthy of being served, obeyd and worshipped. Be blessed for ever by the Valar and Eru Iluvatar.
Hello, @Veronica2621, Thank you for your comment here. Like you, I admire the character of Arwen Undómiel. However, I feel the need to disagree with some of what you wrote. Arwen was an Elvish woman, not a goddess (I realise you may have been intending emphatic, metaphoric speech, so I am sorry if I am finding fault undeservedly about this point.) Also, if I may presume to place myself in Arwen's mind, or, say that of her father, Elrond, or her husband, Aragorn, I am confident that none of those characters would have wished Arwen to be worshipped, by anyone. To illustrate why I believe this, I will quote a short passage from the book "The Fellowship of the Ring", book 2, Chapter 7, "The Mirror of Galadriel": "And now at last it comes. You will give me the Ring freely! In place of the Dark Lord you will set up a Queen. And I shall not be dark, but beautiful and terrible as the Morning and the Night! ... Stronger than the foundations of the earth. All shall love me and despair! " ... She stood before Frodo seeming now tall beyond measurement, and beautiful beyond enduring, terrible and worshipful." In this description, Galadriel, who, like Arwen, is an Elvish woman. is being described as how she would become if she took the Ring of Power for herself. The adjective 'worshipful' occurs together with 'terrible'. I hope this reply does not seem to be attacking you. I certainly do not intend that. I have been a lover of J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings and his other writings for round 45 years. Interestingly, I have only become aware about 8 years ago, that Tolkien is on record as saying that he meant to imbue these stories with Catholic-Christian themes, but done very subtly, not overtly. As a person of Judeo-Christian faith, the notion of worship is important to me, and I simply wanted to express that, like you, much as I admire and am fond of the character of Arwen, I think worship is not what Tolkien intended us to have in mind in relation to her. Kind regards, Peter Selig

Arwen's voice sounds at the same time like the last star shining on the silver towers of Minas Tirith, and like the northern wind blowing among the great trees of the Lórien, giving a ounce of purity, just enough to feel the beauty of what might be The Undying Lands... This music is so inspiring, when I hear it I always feel like I must fight for the Good in Our world... Sorry, I always fail to describe how powerful a music is...

"Aragorn se quedó dormido. Y de pronto, se reveló en él una gran belleza, una belleza que todos los que más tarde fueron a verlo, contemplaron maravillados, porque en él veían unidas la gracia de la juventud y el valor de la madurez, y la sabiduría y la majestad de la vejez. Y allí yació largo tiempo, una imagen del esplendor de los Reyes de los Hombres en la gloria radiante anterior al desgarramiento del mundo".
I truly believe that simplicity is the best. Rather than heavy makes plastic surgery . Being simply gorgeous won't take any effort. It shows the purity of once soul.
