Lords of Shadow Universe: Gabriel Belmont/Dracul, Trevor Belmont/Alucard, Simon Belmont = Father, Son, Grandson. Castlevania 90's Universe: Leon, Christopher, Trevor, Simon, Juste, Richter, Julius, etc. Basically they're two completely different timelines/universes
I want to asked everyone to clarify the whole story of castlavania. I'm confused of the relation of the rest of the Belmont tree. Where does Gabriel, Trevor and Simon fits in? What about Leon Belmont? I thought he was the first Belmont who defeat Dracula? Or Is it a different story not relevant to Lord of shadow? Please advise
Leon's relation in this Lords of Shadow series is unknown. Gabriel was the first Belmont to be introduced into the series, and later became Dracul (Dracula), after becoming a vampire from drinking Laura's blood, and stealing the powers of the Forgotten One. Because of this, he was able to manifest his weapons for his fury and feeling of emptiness, such as the Chaos Claws and Void Sword. The Shadow Whip was to replace his Vampire Killer Combat Cross that he destroyed after becoming Dracula. Moving on, it was said that the birth of Trevor Belmont, Gabriel's son, was hidden from him by the Brotherhood of Light. When Trevor came to face his father as a grown man, Gabriel discovered the truth and had Trevor resurrected 30 years later as Alucard with his vampire blood. As for Simon, he's Trevor's son in this game. He was heartbroken to hear his father had died by Dracula's hands, and later witnessed the death of his mother, Sypha. When Simon came of age, he then went down the same path his father took to go hunt his Grandfather. Sypha's spirit was there protect him and give him strength, as he later recovered his Father's Combat Cross, which he uses here against Dracula. By the time these events go on, Alucard has awakened, horrified to discover that he's now a vampire. He gets a new Combat Cross and later fights along side his son to destroy Dracula. They were successful...kinda. Dracula vanishes and the Castle crumbles, but Alucard feared his father's return as Simon continued on the lineage of the Belmont clan, as centuries later, Victor Belmont would be last of his bloodline as Dracula would return to hunt down Satan's acolytes to prevent his return. Does that clarify things?

In the Lords of Shadow series, Trevor's Mother was Marie, Gabriel's wife.
