- This video demonstrates how to install extra brake lights in the empty 'pods' on a Classic Ninja EX250 ('89 to '07). By default the two smaller red lenses on either side of the center brake light have no sockets; this shows how to install and wire new sockets to take advantage of these.
2019 and you're video is still benefiting riders like me 😎👍
Thank you for showing how to do this,I had to order those & they'll be here on Wed,(31).I got an 2007 EX250 Ninja &
what I did is,I took off the small red reflector that's above the lic-plate & added an red led light & wired that into the
running lights.Just so that more drivers can see me.
Nice vid. I made the left and right lights turn signals, and im ordering LED bulbs soon. Can't wait!
Video helped alot. Thanks for taking the time to make and post it. I'm ordering a rear light set up off ebay that uses side pods as running lights. Still enjoyed the video
Thanks for making this video.
@1989theark Ordered them off of eBay (not sure if the exact ones are still available) - the one I used for the center brake light was labeled "1157 Super Red 28 SMD/SMT Light Bulb = 84 LED 2057 12v" and the ones for the side were "1157 Car SMD 13-LED RED Light Bulb Tail Brake 2057". From my recollection, I believe any "1157" or "2057" bulb type should work. I tried to order bulbs with less light for the side compartments, since they have less area to light. Hope this helps! :)
Do you think if you used regular bulbs that you would have to use a 20a fuse instead of the 10a one?
my 1993 have red turn signals on the sides
@Dj5001x2 Thanks!
looks a bit pink-ish but nice mod though
