Luxu literally taunts Sora about his fate in kh3 in Olympus. “I don’t admire the guy who leaps into danger if if means others have to jump in to save him, you're all just lining up to lose out” and that's exactly what is happening now.

I didn’t really like Xehanort secretly being a sympathetic character was a very good twist. A true person who wanted to protect KH would have probably been more forthcoming about his intentions. When he saw genuine people wanting to protect KH, he should have attempted to bring them onboard his plan. Didn’t earn that twist imo and came out forced. I remember disliking the ending because of that.

That deal with Pinocchio could also extend to the Nobodies in general... as they were said to not have hearts and thus feel no emotions, but Pinocchio proved that one could feel emotions even without a heart, which could tie into the latter reveal that the Nobodies could grow their own new hearts after some time.

Great video. Few honorable mentions that I should bring up though.
    1. Ansem Seeker Of Darkness Guardian being Terra hinted after you fight him in Dream Drop Distance
    2. Twilight Town Being in Chain Of Memories and Vexen bringing up the other side of Sora's heart (The original GBA one before we even knew of Roxas being a full character)
    3. Hollow Bastion being hinted at in Deep Jungle
    4. Strelitza herself being hinted at all the way back in Re Chain Of Memories with that Nobody that Marluxia had in the final fight with him
    5. Ventus being hinted at being from the ancient Keyblade war times with him and Vanitas being the two who needed to clash at the Keyblade Graveyard to make the X-Blade

The Guardian being Terra was one that I considered adding to the video, and I thought about mentioning the Deep Jungle slide with the hallucinations Sora had of Kairi. They didn't make the final list, however, because of how small the actual foreshadowing moments were. In my first draft of the script, I felt that I wrote too much about the plot twists and not enough about the foreshadowing that hinted at them, so I rewrote it. Thanks for watching!

In days Both Axel and Roxas actually show more emotion, for example Xion's death and Every sea sait ice cream scene. Kh 2 has Axel doing somemuch shit get Roxas out lead to his death. The Roxas bossfight would never happened if didn't had heart.

God what a moment, and it was being foreshadowed in front of us all along.

Also in number 5, notice how Aqua holds the charms, hers is separated from Ven and Terra’s charms, this could be a foreshadowing to her winning the mark of mastery exam, as well as being separated from Terra and Ven after trying to keep them safe when she fell to darkness🥺💔

  • @PyrotechNick77
    @PyrotechNick77 Před 7 měsíci +1

I don't know if it's foreshadowing but still something adjacent. But related to Xigbar being Luxu and a keyblade wielder
KH 2 introduce Xigbar and his very challenging bossfight. The subsequent game BBS introduced shotlocks as a gameplay mechanic for our keyblade wielding heroes, but perhaps the first instance of a shotlock used against the players was Xigbar's boss battle in KH2. That is how the moveset feels and its a hint that there is something more to Xigbar and then come to find that

Sorry but you got Xehanort’s goal all wrong.
It was never his intention to travel back to when the world started. Time travel doesn’t allow him to travel outside of his lifetime, or to change events.
His goal was to use the power of Kingdom Hearts to return the world to a pure blank space and recreate in perfect balance between light and darkness.

He believed he lived during the Age of Fairytales. I'm not sure if you've played Dark Road, so let's just say that there's a reason why he said that he swore he'd live beyond the Keyblade War in Birth by Sleep. He thought that there was a version of himself that lived as far back as that time period.

@@oreotaku4017 You're absolutely correct about that, don't get me wrong! But there are a lot of things in the game that hint that Xehanort believed that the Union leaders were his friends and that he believed he was the playable character in Union X. He calls them friends from his dreams, not mentioning his caretaker, and the Mirror at Dwarf Woodlands makes him believe that lie even more. Unless if I've interpreted a lot of the scenes wrong, I'm fairly certain Xehanort believed he could travel back in time all the way to the Age of Fairytales.

i don't really agree that most of these are foreshadowing?
(the rest of this comment is petty and nitpicky and i promise i don't mean it with any sort of derision or mean spirit)
right off the bat i wouldn't say that #6 "uses" foreshadowing so much as "can retroactively have parallels drawn to it", it's too big a stretch to give credit for anyone 'planning' the story so far in advance (specifically in this situation, when we know the first game was written basically in a vaccuum). same with #3, i'll believe that scenes in 3D/ReC and even BBS could have had the luxu reveal in mind, but 2 was made so long before luxu was even conceptualized it's just not worth the credit. i'd believe the references to other keyblade wielders could be spun as foreshadowing for BBS's eventual release, but definitely not luxu.
#5 and #4 aren't really subtle clues, either. the wayfinder scene is more like ironic lampshading since it sets up a subverted conclusion, and sora's visions of kairi are (as you said) an ongoing mystery that intentionally unfolds (the same could be said for #2 to a lesser extent). neither are subtle hints that could be missed, they're key events that draw attention to the story.
and #1 is literally just a sequence of events. aqua's visions of darkness tried convincing her it was inevitable that she'd fall, but the ending of 0.2 has her resolving to stay strong and defy that fate (same as her secret episode of BBS), so the events of 3 weren't 'foreshadowed' but were tragic (and to a degree, ironic) subversion of that conclusion - and even if it wasn't, the darkness telling aqua she will fall is, like the other points, directly stated and hardly subtle in its suggestion.
honestly, there's a lot of foreshadowing in the KH series - CoM is FULL of it - but i don't think these points fall under that term. they're storytelling devices, definitely, but not 'foreshadowing'
