The Mig Switch site did have a way to request a review unit, not sure if its still on the site but there was a contact form for it. I spoke to someone from the site a couple times, said theyd send a review unit... but never did. Ah well. The preorders, the dumper, the weird review roll out, the Aliexpress listings, the new clones popping up.. kind seems off.. but I guess thats the nature of these types of products lol
Mig are slow, and their management skills are a ballache, but the product comes eventually. I know only a few youtubers made the cut for review units, if your still after one, happy to help out one pixel to another. I've got some safety stock of cards, and waiting on them ship the dumpers.

I backed a tech product (cool multi charger thing) on Kickstarter which was supposed to be delivered in January but arrived a few months later. The parcel came from Kyrgyzstan. I’m assuming that there’s likely unpredictability for stuff shipping from that part of the world. Especially Russia with all the sanctions. It could be held up in customs somewhere.
This is why I stopped pre-ordering new products . I got tired of having spent hundreds of dollars on products and waiting years for them to maybe come out , having to try to do chargebacks on my cards to get my money back , emailing people to see if they'll even respond , and receiving products that were not as expected . I may miss out on some things , but if it's not in stock , I'm not buying . The longest that I waited was 4+ years for a game and controller set for the Vectrex from Fury Unlimited . I was one of the first people to pre-order in 2012 for first come first serve delivery , and never heard anything but excuses until 2017 when it finally arrived . Never again .
yup preordering anything is usually a huge mistake and for the vast majority of time it always has been. WoW and Diablo 3 were some of the only video game related things I ever preordered. these days even if it claims to be "in stock" at stores like "Limited Run Games" you'll be waiting 4+ months even if you live in the same state as Limited Run Games as I do.

You might be able to contact him to see if he's got anything left through Atariage where he's a member . Just check the Vectrex section in the forum over there . I've bought both the Overdrive driving wheel controller and the Hellhole/Vectrosis spinner controller set from Fury Unlimited . The Overdrive controller has cheap buttons that don't work well that I need to replace and I haven't even tried the Vectrosis yet . All that I can say is that they look nice , buttons can be sketchy . I'm guessing that he buys whatever buttons are available in bulk . His controllers are somewhat sought after as he doesn't seem to make very many of them .
If this is a straight up scam, it’s possible that this new mig switch clone could just be a repackage of the original mig switch so people will fall for the scam again.

Yeah, I ordered from there too, even ordered one of the switches. No response at all from them even from the outset of January all the way to now. At this point, they issued a statement saying their solder machine is down, haven’t addressed anyone emailing them, but still had time to turn off public messages on their website. I just finished submitting claims for chargebacks because it seems like a scam at this point.
Always use a credit card for these types of unknown purchases that way you can dispute them. Some debit cards and local credit unions will allow you to dispute purchases as well.

It's the same story with the Retro Fighters Hunter XBOX Wireless gamepad. I pre-ordered that back when it was first announced, from a retailer. Meant to come out in August according to Retro Fighters and the store. Then delayed until Oct/Nov. Still waiting! The store is still accepting pre-orders but now offering refunds to those that are sick of it. The latest ETA is "Q2 2024" due to some international shipping issue, they say. And just like the Mig, I've seen people on CZcams back in Feb with review units of the controller. I feel kinda scammed a bit as well.
I ordered mine at the beginning of February, still waiting. I did order it with the dumper, though, if you are in need of a dumper for your carts, I’d send mine over after I’m done with it.
This is why I used PayPal. Opened a claim a month ago and already have my money back. When they retroactively said they would no longer include the dumper you have every right to get your money back.

I am always be wary of anything that is too good to be true. The MIG Switch cartridge seems to be in beta testing but I suggest to wait for any latest updates for the Switch hardware until it stops doing so.

I ordered the flash card from the same site as you. Since no delivery has arrived to date, I have actively inquired with the seller. This was already 3 weeks ago and I have not received a response. To be honest, I'm not expecting anything to arrive anymore.

I found out the other day that someone has actually cloned this MIG switch thingy so we might get better one down the road with...hopefully a menu of some kind instead of having to eject the cart then reinserting all the time.
