The F150, I think could be a repo as some have said, but it could also be a theft recovery. If It was discovered abandoned after the 30 days many insurance companies will finally pay on a stolen vehicle.
Often, people stash a car close to where they live after they steal it and go back-and-forth with the keys that they found in it on someone’s driveway unloading groceries or whatever. Guessing.

You were not driving that corvette home the rear suspension was tweaked and chunks out the rim along the bead could see that when it was on the loader driving across the yard

Auction fever really seems to affect a lot of these bidders- the prices on most don't make sense with the required work.

If you can get a clean title vette for $10K, no way I would pay over $7K for a salvaged title project. Smart to walk away from it. The F150 was high risk but appeared to be a deal. Got to wonder why it was totaled out?

You're in the business and I'm not, but I thought the new Mazda offered a considerable upside even with a salvage title; it sold for about the same amount as the F150, and didn't have the miles or the risk of a bad engine.

Corvettes are cheaper in the winter time cause they're summer vehicles. They don't do well in snow being rear wheel drive with that much HP. What model was it? Sounded like it might've been a Z06.
