I never noticed that grouping feature - looks handy. As a beginner one thing I think REALLY helps when working with components is turning on "Component Colour Swatch" (under the gear icon lower right) which gives every item in the timeline a colour relative to its component. You can also toggle the model to have the same colour by clicking "Component Colour Cycling Toggle" under the Inspect tab.

Thanks, I have been trying to figure out how to do that!
I think the grouping would confuse me, it would all look the same.

Lars, I really appreciate your videos and they have helped me get over the hump of just printing existing models to actually making my own. I have always gotten lost in all the options available in 3D modeling tools, which is funny when you considering I spend 9-12 hours a day using Visual Studio and never get lost in there.
I would like to mention however, the "fish eye" is actually called a radio button.

Hey Lars thank you for great videos.
I was wondering how do you rate Solidworks against Autofusion 360 or Inventor?
Thank you and keep it up💪💪💪

I am trying to transition from Alibre to 360. I need some direction converting an STP file .
Would it make for a good lesson?

@UTubler Super late but I just stumbled on the answer to this completely on accident: on the right side of the timeline, there's a small gear icon for a settings dialog. In there, make sure that "Hide all inactive features" is checked ON.
