I agree....imagine most people dont even own a proper set of headphones, like ever hear music on Grado headphones? they probably listen on airpods or beats by dre, or better yet, own an audio interface/DA converter or speakers/studio monitors, imagine owning speakers in 2021, lol and yes encoding higher than TY or Spotify. Sound has lost, its the last thing people care about, they need there GPUs for gaming and 4K tvs fo movies, i know countless Twitch streamers, podcasters or Discord users that know absolutely nothing about sound, like proper gain-staging for instance.....unless your like a DJ or Engineer, even then you can get a copy of FL Studio and learn on YT, the new Logic Pro you can mix from your phone and apps the write chords for you lol.......thats my rant

I just lost my grandpa from covid and now hit a level of depression that I have never felt. This song and its remix by Joris Voorn is what is currently keeping me sane right now. Listening to it over and over gives me an escape from this reality nightmare I am going through. Thank you for such beautiful music.

Its the sort of music my stepson plays I am in my 70s I like it sort of mesmeric, the bass run is great, is this what they call new wave. My stepson lives in the UK and often we do not hear this kind of music being aired on local stations, thanks for the post

New wave is more associated with the early 80s and is a subgenre of music in which the use of electronic synthesisers is key. New wave essentially isn't very new these days, haha, because that was four decades ago.
Since then there's been a dizzying array of subgenres. Examples include house, and then subgenres of house, techno and its subgenres, jungle, ambient, hardcore, and so on.
Often there's actually considerable blurring, for example a lot of what might get called deep techno might also be considered deep house by others.
There can be a degree of subjectivity. I'm pretty sure Joris Voorn is associated with techno production as well but maybe hasn't drawn me in as a techno fan so far.
I think it's great that you're open to listening to new music and up for a chat about it! Good on you!

I was inside a party, so loud… I had to take a breather . So I took a walk to the liquor store as I put on both my air pods in to listen to this track and just continue to walk and was this a magical walk I ever had … I ended up buying another pack of beer and a vape! On my way back I just took a pause and played this song on replay drinking on my own out side while everyone was inside waiting for beer to come. Had a great time!
