Crazy how the universe works...the movie took 27 years to be made...simply because the guys playing them weren’t even born at this time...timing is EVERYTHING
To be honest (regardless of what anybody else says), Ralph gained my respect with this interview. He spoke the truth and I could see where he was coming from.
At the end of the day Ralph was the smartest. NE is and always will be bigger than any sub group that came from NE.....that's why you just saw recently the hype for a NE tour.....B Brown and BBD were repped during the tour but NE was the reason people bought tickets. NE now carries BBrown.....Can You Stand the Rain is anticipated moreso than Do Me.....NE catalog goes all the way back to Candy Girl.....that's the forever group.
Ralph definitely needed to take a chill pill and hush for a moment. With that being said, I don't blame him for being so hostile. This dude put up with and sacrificed a LOT, by the time they made this appearance. I mean, they ALL worked HARD; don't get it twisted. BUT you can't deny that a LOT of pressure and responsibility during their heyday fell on HIM. He sang the majority of the leads, overdubbed a lot of their background vocals, plus he put off his solo career TWICE so that the rest of them could continue to eat. AND let's not forget the few times he covered for Bobby during the Don't Be Cruel recording sessions, by filling in the vocals on those days when Bobby failed to show up to the studio for whatever reason. The entire group is talented, but he carried them A LOT during those earlier years. Now here they were, branched off into their own individual solo careers; Bobby's career is blown up (using concepts that RALPH was going to use for his solo project, no doubt), Johnny is blowing up, BBD is straight fucking the game UP and he's being tossed aside like yesterday's newspaper. Pretty sure that stung a bit, all things considered. It didn't help that Sherry focused just a little too much on BBD, and that they were LOVING it. It's not really the other guy's fault how things played out, nor do I believe it's Ralph's. But he definitely got the shorter end of the stick. I don't blame him for being a little agitated here.
At the end of the day, I respect each and every one of these guys. The talent, patience and perseverance it takes to do what they've been doing, as long as they've been doing it - many people don't have it. They've all been through a lot, and they deserve all the accolades they get.
I think Ralph was just fed up after years of not feeling appreciated. You can only sacrifice so much to the point of becoming resentful, especially when it feels no one has taken notice of those sacrifices. This man, at a young age, stayed loyal to his friends when he could have taken the solo deal and made a better life for his mom and siblings. He's stated how he's gone on stage really sick, with high fevers. And, according to the movie, instead of being with his girl when she lost their baby, he chose not to leave the group hanging with their scheduled performances. Not to mention going on that Home Again tour right after his mom died... I've lost my mom, I know how it feels, that had to be hard for him.
I'm sorry to hear about your loss. But I absolutely agree with everything you said. Like I commented in another video, Ralph's situation reminds me a lot of a friend of mine who was also in a group at one point. The sacrifices, the stress from pulling everyone's weight, the resentment and jealousy from others in the group etc. This kind of thing happens more than people think. That's why I can sympathize with RT a lot, because I've witnessed first hand just how these situations can play out.
PNdotCom I'm not in any group, but I can relate in a personal level, because I've made sacrifices for blood family that seems to not be appreciated. The crazy thing is WHEN 'you' finally decide to be a little selfish and do something for yourself (like RT did w/the solo album), those same folks you've sacrificed for, get mad at you for putting yourself first for a change (like BBD did when Ralph told them about the album). The nerve of 'you' doing something that makes you happy. Smh...lol!
Absolutely! The minute you stop serving everyone else, you're the bad guy. I'm not in a group either, but you're absolutely correct. In general, this is something everyone can relate to, one way or the other.
Man I after watching the movie and watching this I feel for Ralph the record label held him back and he sacrificed a lot for the group but got the shorter end of the stick. But this interview says it all.
Kinda feel for Ralph, even tho he tried to go solo 1st, he seemed to want the support of the group. then he ended up putting a solo career on hold for the group, then everyone beat him to solo successes...here, he's still trying to put New Edition 1st & be professional... everyone else seems hella immature
Ralph still had a good solo career, especially with hits like: Sensitivity, Do what I gotta do, Stone Cold gentleman, Money can't buy me love, etc. Maybe it wasn't as good as Bobby Brown, BBD, or JG, but he was close. Also, Ralph is not the weak link, because there is indeed no N.E. without Ralph; although the other singers are good. We wouldn't have Can You Stand the Rain, Candy Girl, Cool it Now, Something About you Babe, I'm Still in Love with You, etc without Ralph.
I have to say that this mini-series did not show all the other guys in a positive light when it came to their treatment of Ralph. I am sure there are things that they couldn't completely show, but I so appreciate them not shying away from it, owning that and not pretending it was any other way.
the bottom line is this....EACH MEMBER OF NEW EDITION IS IMPORTANT REGARDLESS OF SOLO CAREER STATUS ! But in Ricky's own words & I quote: "Though it's a group & every fan has their favorite, IT'S WAS ALL ABOUT RALPH" Now for the facts: Mike went and got Johnny in the group to replace Ralph out of fear that Ralph was gonna follow Bobby & do his solo thing...They went to MCA Records with this New Edition line-up & was told "Looks Good but...THERE IS NO NEW EDITION WITHOUT RALPH"........
I remember back then as a teen watching this i didn't see the tension. I was just happy NE was all together. But as a adult I can see it now but it's like, who cares. They still together and still friends and still tour as a group. That's what friendship is all about. You go thru things and get thru it. I love these guys and they played a special part in my life. They all are six beautiful men and I love them til this day.
Ralph sounds so frustrated; yet I understand his wanting us to know,"we're so much more than this" ...and you are! Mission accomplished! Hugs to you all! 30 years, congrats!
You can tell Ralph was definitely not feeling everybody going off & doing their solo thing. I think he was used to Bobby being gone & Johnny came in a solo artist BUT, I definitely think he feels a little betrayed by Mike especially b/c according to the movie, Ralph had been said he wanted to do his own thing. And now to have BBD out BEFORE him AND be successful, seems like he feels threatened & even a little jealous. Still love u Ralph.
That's what he said, no one else said that was true.. That's like saying a dearly departed relative said "x,y and z"......... I would need someone else to confirm it. Because the Unsung version paints a slightly different picture.
+Lynn Morgan I was thinking the same when I saw that in the film. But, tbh Ralph was the total package when he was little. Cute boy with a great voice (reminiscent of Michael) and an incredible work ethic. He never asked questions, always showed up, spent hours in the studio without complaints. It's not far fetched that someone like Mouse would've thought to make some money off him.
Cute Life on a Budget ok I skipped some parts of this but did Mike say all that stuff he said in the story to Ralph? (I can help you) being funny about it.
Lori Jenks I thought Toni's biopic was pretty good. She broke a Lifetime record, her numbers were great. However, I'm pretty sure BET could've done a much better job.
Aaliyah's movie was unauthorized. Lifetime did the movie without Aaliyah's family's support. That's why Zendaya dropped out of the film because her family wasn't involved. Whitney's movie was more so about her relationship with Bobby. It wasn't a cradle to the grave type of movie. There is a Whitney biopic in the works. It will be a theatrical feature film. Toni's movie was good but it could've been better. She left out a lot of stuff and it didn't really incorporate her music. She needed a 3-part miniseries like New Edition.
Y’all going to stop dragging my mans Ralph! They played Ralph while Ralph wanted to be a team player. Imagine them songs without Ralph’s voice? They wouldn’t have been so popular! I feel bad for Baby he shouldn’t have been so genuine
LOL.. it's all good tension.. brotherly love! Ralph's just socially and practically disciplined (martial arts thing) ..strong sense of family values and is doing all he can to stick to "the plan"! The rest have their hearts in the same place but, it all boils down to character.. they're primarily entrepreneurial by nature and chose the dirt road, all guns blazing.. all this remnants of a tough foundation.. you'll always feel the nudge to break through further than the average bouderies set in place. A collective journey of Boys to Men.. and they're all still here coz they have each other.. that N.E. Super Glue!
ralph was pissed i think he was feeling the pressure of him having to do the solo project and be just as good as the rest of the guys Mike acted like he was mad at all of them Bobby thought the whole thing was funny!!!
I'm just glad that New Edition is BACK ....despite all of the drama....they are back...6 deep..and still strong....they STILL GOT IT WHEN IT COMES TO PERFORMING...I saw them live in ST. LOUIS....and they blew my mind!!! I can't wait to see them again when they do their 30th Anniversary!!!
ralphs so cute in this poor thing hahaa he just keeps talking and talking, but hey they let him. it was funnny how they kept messin with him, there is drama im sure but there is love at the end of the day with these guys.
These were the days when BET was worth watching. NE no matter if it's together or solo them dudes have got real talent. You can't be going strong for 30 plus years and not have skills. NE doubt on of the best to ever do the damn thing!
It's always been that the First one to leave a band and go Solo will be a success: The Commodores, Wham, Destiny's Child, Jackson 5, The Supremes, NSYNC...
No, I think Ralph did a great job in articulating the N.E. vision, which is why he is the leader. Just like MJ with the Jacksons. The leader sees or is taught to see things the rest can't.
I remember watching this on video soul when I was little. Didn't Bobby say they could have let him be the paper boy in Can You Stand the Rain? Anyway it was good seeing this.
C Webb I distinctly thought I remembered the Tension Interview. and omg as an adult watching Ralph is throwing major shade and Biv is absolutely pissed.
Ralph is the only one who hadn't come out at the time. Bobby had blown up with Don't Be Cruel. BBD had Poison on the radio plus a dope record in stores. Johnny had his album out moving units. Ralph was still waiting.
IceManLikeGervin Peeps were surprised how Dope BBD was when they dropped. It shocked the world !! You know Ralph was jealous as a Muthafucka !! As good as his solo career was, it wasn't all that !!
+Ima bigbitch Right. His debut album was kind of weak in comparison too. The singles were good, but the rest of it sounded kind of low budget and was very underwhelming. He could've really benefited from having Teddy Riley or maybe more input from Jam & Lewis or LA Reid & Babyface.
I agree with you! I almost forgot about the "Movie" being mentioned in this interview. You know, this interview being in 1990, it's strange that they would call this a New Edition "reunion" when they officially didn't release an actual 6-man album until 1996 ("Home Again"). So if it took 6 years to release an album after naming this as such, I'd be surprised if we'd actually SEE a movie period unless any of the group members pass away or some type of tragedy takes place.
Wow after seeing this movie i had to watch this interview. You can feel the tension between everyone and see the cliques. Mike looks like he wants to punch Ralph in the face by the end. Johnny feels left out because low key no one really cares about his solo career, Ricky Bell and Ronnie is like lets focus on BBD and everyone is sick of Bobby. Damn... too bad they cant make it work because they are magic tougher. But out of all of them I gotta go with BBD and Bobby who i like the most.
VERY false! Ralph's project was VERY successful. "Sensitivity" was a huge Top 10 Pop hit, as well as a #1 R&B hit. He had scored some more R&B hits over the next couple of years, but his solo project wasn't out during the time of this interview. And I can RIGHTFULLY see why Ralph would feel a bit bitter since he's sorta being FORCED to produce a solo project (maybe not directly by the other guys, but moreso by the fact that fans would have been looking at him crazy if he DIDN'T put one out).
@JayNJayShow I think they (BBD) were tired. They spent the most time with Ralph. At this moment Johnny had only did 2 years, Bobby was gone for 4 years, so the other 4 had been together from 83-90...hell i think they were together before 83. BBD was just tired of Ralph & Ralph was tired of them. Ralph never wanted Bobby out, Ralph never wanted Johnny in at first. They brothers, but I can see why Bobby was laughing.
@taylamade7000 Bobby had the last laugh, they kicked him out and he blew up. Johnny was asked to join, he was already a solo act before New Edition. Mike & Ralph had funk in this footage.
Ralph was the "company" man of NE. That is why he was pushing it so hard in the interview. He toed the line concerning what that group (NE) was to be about. He embodied that even in this interview. However, everyone else; Bobby, BBD, and Johnny had their own thing going and his music wasn't as hot at theirs at the time so you could see him dripping with salt.
Mike was uncharacteristically quiet. Because, it seems like he fancies himself as being the spokesman for New Edition. But, Ralph wasn't going to be silenced. 😂 He laid out all the plans and his vision for the group. It was funny. But, I guess that's why he's the front man/lead singer.
Mike is looking like can this shit be over already. Lol. Ralph wanted all the attention for this interview. He gave Bobby the look of death at the 3:53 mark 😂
nickfreshalive I know where that came from. That's the homie. He's the OG Cutty Mack and was both NE *and* BBD's hypeman for awhile. Heck, he is to this very day.
haha. good to know you know. Since I run SOULTRAINFANS, I find myself explaining that to everyone quite a bit ("Who is that guy that danced on soul train in da 80s with da hat and glasses and why he be with new edition so much?" is usually the question). Lou is an important piece to the NE empire!
nickfreshalive Well, not only the NE empire, but he one of reasons that helped Soul Train during the 80s. He was one of the people that helped the hip hop acts feel at home (even when Don Cornelius feared hip hop for some time) and when it came to New Edition, Ski was always by the stage, just as a reminder that they were tight. Even when Bobby came to do "Don't Be Cruel", Ski was still by the stage to give him some dap!
word is Rick was only drinking and smoking around this time. The pills and coke didnt kick up until the 90s.......like 94 or so. Came to a head around 97-98.
GO head Rlalph the guys were acting very immature and unprofessional I'm glad Ralph was mature, patient, and intelligent enough to explain what was going on, because he was dealing with a bunch of 5 yr olds
Am I the only one who thinks BET did their homework on this NE movie????????
Rahman Madison They better had
Rahman Madison BET didn't make the movie. They had a director, writer etc. BET broadcasted it smh
Rahman Madison its that BET did their history new edition co produced the ne story so its not BET telling the story its NE telling the story
Rahman Madison right
what, look at a youtube video? No much research.
they was flyer in real life than in the movie
So how many people came to see this after they saw the movie?? lol
Lashanna Stith every body lol
Lashanna Stith I sure as hell did lol
Lashanna Stith everybody and they mom
Lashanna Stith me lol
Lashanna Stith me
Ralph said "his trusty boots" I'm so weak 😂😂😂😭😭
Crazy how the universe works...the movie took 27 years to be made...simply because the guys playing them weren’t even born at this time...timing is EVERYTHING
Is God just good. His time is the best time
just seen this in the movie.....they was dressed the same and everything....like my shit if you came here cause the movie...
5:21 Six Years Later.....
😂😂 Home Again
To be honest (regardless of what anybody else says), Ralph gained my respect with this interview. He spoke the truth and I could see where he was coming from.
Marcus Rob He tried to take over.
At the end of the day Ralph was the smartest. NE now carries BBrown.....Can You Stand the Rain is anticipated moreso than Do Me.....NE catalog goes all the way back to Candy Girl.....that's the forever group.
Mike was the smartest he managed groups and made them successful and handle the business in NE. What has Ralph done besides be selfish?
Ralph definitely needed to take a chill pill and hush for a moment. With that being said, I don't blame him for being so hostile. V H right I agree
Ralph still had a platinum album, so they all had success on their own.
@@centinelyork Bobby and Johnny had the most success solo wise.
Yes, Ralph was acting bitter in this interview but he was devoted to NE and sacrificed much to keep the group going. Respect
Ralph still had a good solo career, especially with hits like: Sensitivity, Do what I gotta do, Stone Cold gentleman, Money can't buy me love, etc. Maybe it wasn't as good as Bobby Brown, BBD, or JG, but he was close. lwj24 you are absolutely right! Ralph was the engine back then and right now. I honestly feel NE would not have been this successful without Ralph.
I have to say that this mini-series did not show all the other guys in a positive light when it came to their treatment of Ralph. I am sure there are things that they couldn't completely show, but I so appreciate them not shying away from it, owning that and not pretending it was any other way.
Charlotte J and that is true
Dang that movie came almost 30 years later
It always seemed like Ralph and Bobby was the closest
Ralph did vocals on some of bobbys songs when he would show up drunk once it was time to record
And Ralph & Ricky. They had a group called 'Ricky & Ralph'/'Double R Connection' before joining NE....
Htown4life nawfside They were according to Bobbys book
Htown4life nawfside Mike and Ricky are also best friends
Kerry Weaver That’s just a rumor.
And this particular movie came to pass and got three nights in January on BET. It's been 26 years in the making.
Ralph is the perfect example of when "keeping it real goes wrong"! Should of took the deal!
tonyatlas 😂
the bottom line is this....EACH MEMBER OF NEW EDITION IS IMPORTANT REGARDLESS OF SOLO CAREER STATUS ! But in Ricky's own words & I quote: "Though it's a group & every fan has their favorite, IT'S WAS ALL ABOUT RALPH"

Lol 😂 @ Bobby at da end dancing, such an entertainer
I remember back then as a teen watching this i didn't see the tension. I was just happy NE was all together. But as a adult I can see it now but it's like, who cares. They still together and still friends and still tour as a group. That's what friendship is all about. You go thru things and get thru it. I love these guys and they played a special part in my life. Bobby was feeling JG song! And Mike was soooooo over it lmao
And you look a caked faced mess.
Bobby was such a ham. It's hard to reel that in.
That New Edition Movie Was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Ralph sounds so frustrated; yet I understand his wanting us to know,"we're so much more than this" ...and you are! Mission accomplished! Hugs to you all! 30 years, congrats!
Let Ralph speak!! He has the work ethic and the vision. He sees the big picture for all.
hotrodindalou vision to do what? He was the least successful
because they played him. smh
Darryl because he was played
He was trying to take over the interview.
Mike looked mad as hell at the end lol
You can tell Ralph was definitely not feeling everybody going off & doing their solo thing. I think he was used to Bobby being gone & Johnny came in a solo artist BUT, I definitely think he feels a little betrayed by Mike especially b/c according to the movie, Ralph had been said he wanted to do his own thing. And now to have BBD out BEFORE him AND be successful, seems like he feels threatened & even a little jealous. Still love u Ralph.
I was thinking the same exact thing
Miss J. and the irony is he got offered the solo deal in their young days, but held the group down
That's what he said, no one else said that was true.. That's like saying a dearly departed relative said "x,y and z"......... I would need someone else to confirm it. Because the Unsung version paints a slightly different picture.
+JohntaShaheer Yup. Didn't seem like they appreciated his loyalty when they were younger, hopefully they do now.
They were talking about a movie and look how long it took to put it together and put it in motion. WOW 😩😩
I was watching this scene on the movie just now & had to look this up. Bobby seemed really annoying, even in this interview LOL
Rashawn Robinson OMG! Yes Very!
Rashawn Robinson Now yal know Bobby always been extra! lol
Rashawn Robinson Me too. I wanted to see if Mike really put Ralph out like he did in the movie.
Cute Life on a Budget ok I skipped some parts of this but did Mike say all that stuff he said in the story to Ralph? (I can help you) being funny about it.
and annoyed MIKE especially
Mike was so over it by the end of this interview
They need to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Periodt
Bobby, Ricky, and Ronnie petty @3:34 😂😂😂😂
Lol!
I think a couple of us know what they are doing 😂
just wondering how good Toni, Aaliyah & Whitney would've been if lifetime hadn't touched it! this movie was great.
Jtc custom its Toni's fault hers didn't turn out great. She was hands on with hers.
Lori Jenks I thought Toni's biopic was pretty good. She broke a Lifetime record, her numbers were great. However, I'm pretty sure BET could've done a much better job.
Im glad they didn't touch New Edition and Bobby Brown Story
Aaliyah's movie was unauthorized. Lifetime did the movie without Aaliyah's family's support. That's why Zendaya dropped out of the film because her family wasn't involved. Whitney's movie was more so about her relationship with Bobby. It wasn't a cradle to the grave type of movie. There is a Whitney biopic in the works. It will be a theatrical feature film. Toni's movie was good but it could've been better. She left out a lot of stuff and it didn't really incorporate her music. She needed a 3-part miniseries like New Edition.
Ralph Was Getting Lowkey Mad lol
crazy tension in that piece...real talk
" don't tell them about the movie "
In 2017 The New Edition Story 😂
Anybody else think Ralph has a Tupac look about him?
Roland Shark lol I knew I wasn’t the only one who thought that
ralphs lining is jacked the hell up
it's hilarious how a movie about them actually came out!!
Bobby had ADHD
I said the same thing!
NuCreechure If so, he probably still does, cause ADHD is not something that goes away with age.
NuCreechure Lmaooo yes
He was told as a child that he had adhd. When he hit 30 and talked to a psychiatrist he was diagnosed with bipolar.
Y’all going to stop dragging my mans Ralph! They played Ralph while Ralph wanted to be a team player. Imagine them songs without Ralph’s voice? They wouldn’t have been so popular! I feel bad for Baby he shouldn’t have been so genuine
MIKE WAS PISSED
LOL.. it's all good tension.. brotherly love!
A collective journey of Boys to Men.. and they're all still here coz they have each other.. that N.E. Super Glue!
Naw. Fuck them then AND now.
ralph was pissed i think he was feeling the pressure of him having to do the solo project and be just as good as the rest of the guys Mike acted like he was mad at all of them Bobby thought the whole thing was funny!!!
That's the best thing about these guys...even though they have conflicts, they are still cool.
LOL I love them. Ralphs hair was a hot mess but he still looked so cute. Bobby hella hyper lol
Ralph looked like he wanted to sock Bobby when he was talking and Michael was pissed too for some reason.
In the other video Ralph had cut into the BBD question so I think mike was just irritated
in the very end Mike looked like he wanted to kill them all
Alpha 😂😂😂😂😂😂
bobby was the youngest obviously lol
The accuracy of this interview and the movie!
These were the days when BET was worth watching. NE no matter if it's together or solo them dudes have got real talent. You can't be going strong for 30 plus years and not have skills. NE doubt on of the best to ever do the damn thing!
Mike needs to apologize to Bobby for voting to kick him out!! Mike would've been out the group bc of that fight but Bobby spoke up to let him stay!
Brownsugar babe Bobby wouldn't have had a 10 million selling album it they DID NOT kick him out so it had to happen
And mind you it wasnt just Mike though, it really was a group decision and probably also the label's decision too
It's always been that the First one to leave a band and go Solo will be a success:
The Commodores, Wham, Destiny's Child, Jackson 5, The Supremes, NSYNC...
No, I think Ralph did a great job in articulating the N.E. vision, which is why he is the leader. Just like MJ with the Jacksons. The leader sees or is taught to see things the rest can't.
Ralph is the heart and soul of NE!
The Shade in this group
I've thoroughly enjoyed these videos, Demondligon. New Edition is my all-time favorite group. Thank you so much for sharing with us.
I remember watching this on video soul when I was little. Didn't Bobby say they could have let him be the paper boy in Can You Stand the Rain? Anyway it was good seeing this.
I love this interview. I didn't seem tense to me. They all seem to be enjoying each other.
same exact clothes wow
can't wait to see this part in the movie cuz Mike was pissed for real.
Roland Muskelly finally someone else who's willing to be honest ...Ralph had the least successful career despite being the lead singer
Mike was just chilling all the way til the end of the interview haha
They had this interview in the new edition movie.
D D Williams how did we miss that?
lol
yooooooooo Bobby needed to chill 😂😂😂
i love watching 80s & 90s interviews with all of the old school celebrities that I always like 👍🙂❤
Ralph seemed a little pissed
Just saw this scene in the movie watching now
MsBird36 me too Lol
I agree with you!
I almost forgot about the "Movie" being mentioned in this interview. You know, this interview being in 1990, it's strange that they would call this a New Edition "reunion" when they officially didn't release an actual 6-man album until 1996 ("Home Again").
So if it took 6 years to release an album after naming this as such, I'd be surprised if we'd actually SEE a movie period unless any of the group members pass away or some type of tragedy takes place.
lol you have your movie and no one passed
Who let Bobby out
LOL
JG? The only JG that I know is JG Wentworth, 1877-CASHNOWWWWWW!!!
@taylamade7000 Bobby had the last laugh, they kicked him out and he blew up. Johnny was asked to join, he was already a solo act before New Edition. Mike & Ralph had funk in this footage.
Mike looked so pissed of in this video and the finger thing to Ralph is really funny....Ha ha ha ha ha
lol johnny @ 5:10 has to spin mike's anti-theft tags
NEW EDITION RULES !!!!!!!
SIX YEARS LATER!
maybe it's just me... but I don't really sense that much tension. They were joking, goofing around and laughing more than anything.
Yeah I don't see much of it either.
There was tension between Mike and Ralph. Ralph tried to take over the interview.
Mike looks irritated like a mug. Ralph needed too much attention. lol he thought He was the lead singer & lead speaker. lol
Cute Life on a Budget I thought that too
Cute Life on a Budget look at ralph face when she was askin bout bbd he was hella salty
Exactly. Ralph was bitter. You can see the tension in his eyes.
hella
At the end, his face (Mike's) had me dead omfg
Mike is looking like can this shit be over already. Lol. Ralph wanted all the attention for this interview. He gave Bobby the look of death at the 3:53 mark 😂
CUTTY FINGER SALUTE at 4:58!
Looks like someone's an OG New Edition fan.
absolutely! both New Edition fan and SOULTRAINFAN as that came from Ski Carr.
nickfreshalive
I know where that came from.
Lou is an important piece to the NE empire!
nickfreshalive
Well, not only the NE empire, but he one of reasons that helped Soul Train during the 80s.
Ralph did a good job explaining things
Why would someone hit the thumbs down button on this interview? Lol…. 🙄
I saw it when it first aired!
Whatever happened to Sherry?
LeBron's Hairline Good question!
Ralph was on bobby head like you know rick James was your boy 😂 Ralph like i know you
"is there a movie coming out"
:00000
yeah that movie was suppose to officially come out in 2008. it's on hold now. the group was beefing with eachother that;s why u now have HEAD OF STATE
wow... to think i used to rock the same braids and hats and boots
SO-LO-ly
Mike was pissed during this interview. So was Ricky using drugs at this point?
word is Rick was only drinking and smoking around this time. The pills and coke didnt kick up until the 90s.......like 94 or so. Came to a head around 97-98.
D, Ricky said the "hard stuff" came after the Home Again tour.
Ricky said it actually didn’t start until 2004. They embellished a lot for the movie.
I think the guys think Ralph talks too much lol they treat him like Brainy smurf.
The 'movie coming out' (The New Edition Story)
Mike was pissed…lol
@herkeda you're right, ralph was jealous. one reason is because he was supose to be the man of the group.
blaze2474life ...I know this post is 4yrs ago, but I just gotta comment on it.... Ralph was never jealous
GO head Rlalph the guys were acting very immature and unprofessional I'm glad Ralph was mature, patient, and intelligent enough to explain what was going on, because he was dealing with a bunch of 5 yr olds
More like 8 year olds
