- I loved every minute of making this steampunk album! It features cogs, steam and ofcourse clocks!
This album took me exactly one day to make. Every time you see me inking, I ink all the borders with the Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. And every time you see me measuring without showing the ruler, it means I am measuring exactly half of the paper!
If you are unclear about certain steps, let me know & I will help you out!
Products used:
- 2x chipboard pieces (front & back side) 36"/18cm height x 26"/13cm wide
- Marion Smith Designs paper - Timekeeper - "Antique Emporium"
(Cut from the top of the paper at 8.5"/22cm height and then horizontally right down the middle. Use each piece as a cover for the chipboard. Keep the bottom leftover piece for decoration for the front)
- Craftex for spine (Cut at 8.6"/22cm height and 3.5"/9cm wide)
- 1x tick chipboard spine 7"/18cm height x 2.3"/6cm wide (Glue this one to the craft tex!)
- 1x thin chipboard spine 6.6"/17,5cm height x 1,9"/5,5cm x wide (Use this to attach the binder to!)
- Ringbinder with 2 brads (Tim Holtz)
- Marion Smith Designs paper - Timekeeper - "Marchant" (Cut this at 6.6"/17.5cm height and entire width (12"/30cm) and score the leftover piece at 3.5"/9cm and 7.5"/19cm)
- Marion Smith Designs paper - Timekeeper - "Cogs & Gears" (Cut at 6"/15cm (right down the middle) and then at 9"/23cm. Score at 4.3"/11,5cm from the left and again at 8.2"/21,5cm. Fold and glue together)
- Marion Smith Designs paper - Timekeeper - "Art Nouveau" (Cut at 6"/15cm (right down the middle) and then at 9"/23cm. Score at 4.3"/11,5cm from the left and again at 8.2"/21,5cm. Fold and glue together. Use the leftover paper to cut 2 strips 2"/5cm wide to glue on 2 of the pockets you just made.)
- Bazzil card stock Raven (Cut out 4 tags, each 6"/15cm high by 3.5"/9cm wide)
- Marion Smith Designs paper - Timekeeper - "Carnival" (Cut out the lady & use this as a page. Cut out 2 more pieces at 6"/15cm high and 7.5"/19cm wide. Score both from the right at 2.7"/7cm)
- Marion Smith Designs paper - Timekeeper - "Tinker" (Cut out the pocket and stick it inside the album. Cut out the rest of the images and ink the edges with Distress ink. Put them in the album where you want.)
- Marion Smith Designs paper - Timekeeper - "Portfolio" (Cut out the file folder and score it in the middle. Score it again twice on both sides of the middle score line at 0.4"/1,5cm. Glue it in the back of the album. Cut out the rest of the images and ink the edges with Distress ink. Put them in the album where you want.)

WOW WOW WOW!! What beautiful work!! Who wouldn't want to be the recipient of that lovely album!! Well done, young lady!! WELL DONE!
I enjoy her tutorials more than any others. I could do with more vocal tutoring though;-) I've viewed countless videos. When I say countless, I mean hours of scrap booking videos. (I'm working on a project for a large family and have hundreds of photos, newspaper articles, keep sakes etc.)This is by far the most superior, step by step channel! I find 95% of the rest to end up looking like something that would accommodate 'My big fat gyspy wedding" (no offense) TYTY YourJuliet
Hi Kavik, thank you so much for your wonderful comment. It really brightens my day! I am sure that you can make a beautiful album with all your keepsakes. If you want to share it when it's done, send me an email at info@your-juliet.net, I would love to see it! Have a great day
Wow, that is so beautiful !
+Ellen Britton Myers Thank you so much, Ellen ❤
Love this album! I'm in the midst of doing an album for a friend and stuck on the inserts. (I'm using tim holtz ring binder set too) but you have given me the boost I need to get back to it . I adore the papers you used and the envelope and file folder are such a great touch front and back . Thanks for sharing your lovely make xx
+Michelle Collett The ring binders are perfect, you can put more or less paper in the album as you go! Good luck on your project, I'm sure your friend will love your album
+YourJuliet Thanks hun, I think I may have stuck the inner papers on funny or something as I have an annoying bit that pops away from the cover each time I try to stick it down it does it again - grrrrr don't you just hate it when something like that happens!! Still, it's a learning process and next time I'll make sure I am more careful with how I stick it down, or perhaps it's another issue. it's great fun though and I'm feeling more inspired with whqt to do with the inserts after watching your video xx
I stumbled across your page and watched you make this album and it is gorgeous, I love any and everything vintage and I love this book. I love this new thing I stumbled across and I think I will start doing this. Thank you for sharing 😎

Thank you Lynne ❤️
Love, Love this!! The papers are so beautiful, I don't know if I'd be able to bring myself to cover them with photos. You did such a lovely job. I've never had good luck with glue sticks, you must not have any problem.
+Lisa DeLong Thank you so much Lisa! I am having trouble with my glue sticks too, I guess I am good at hiding my frustration hahaha!
Absolument magnifique !!! avec plein d'idées, en plus .... merciiii pour cette belle vidéo :-)
Thanks very much Juliet. I will look it up but I get what you mean. I guess a Steampunk page is the opposite of one with flowers and a love theme. It's very interesting and another way to art journal. I am very grateful Juliet. TY xx
+Dorothy Radley No problem at all ❤
This is really AWESOME!! Thank you for sharing this. I'm a newbie and now I'm pretty sure I could make one of these. Your instructions were awesome and easy to understand. Thank you!!

👍🏻
+Manfred Kunze Thank you Manfred
Thats so cool. I loved it!How can i find those things?
Great video. I am new to art journaling so can you tell me what exactly 'Steampunk' means please? Thank you very much. x
+Dorothy Radley Thank you so much! Steampunk is simply a theme, like love or Christmas. Steampunk is a genre of science fiction that features steam instead of electricity. Think romanticism of the Victorian era, Jules Verne and goggles. It is really cool and interesting, if you Google it, you will see the atmosphere and style.
love this ~.^
+o0oMysticdragono0o Thank you!
