OSIRIS-REx Asteroid Sample Return - KSP Stock Replica - To Bennu and Back

- Complete OSIRIS-REx sample return mission replica created in Kerbal Space Program. Accompanied by archive footage from NASA, ULA and Lockheed Martin and incredible music by Savfk.
It has been a long time since I have been able to share one of my craft files with you folks in such a manner. Apart from a lot of side projects I need to complete I have also had hardware issues, however as you may be able to tell from the increased video resolution and in game frame rate whist showcasing a 900 part liftoff that includes multiple fireworks going off, you can assume those issues are now over. There is still a lot I need to do before I can go back into the full swing of things however do expect the odd stand alone craft like this from me while I gear back up.
I really hope you enjoy this video,. This replica was initially just going to be a quick example as a systems check but by the time I was finished I felt pretty happy with the results and so made this video to go with it, also seems like good timing since the sample return is due back in a few weeks now.

Excellent video as always. I got tired of KSP for a while and haven't been looking at any videos related to it during that time, but I see you are still creating all these amazing and wonderful replicas, for us mere mortals to drool over.
Your video was simply top notch! Even if you hadn't edited in the real life footage of the spacecraft and its launch, this would still have been an excellent video, but I must admit, seeing the real thing really did add to the whole thing, so just brilliant.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to hop back into KSP 1. Been trying to play KSP 2 lately, but even after yesterday's patch, it's still too buggy to have much fun for very long. KSP 1 such a SOLID game bro, love it... Keep up the great work. Great video
yep, KSP 2 has not cut the mustard, if there is going to be no fix for the performance issues then the only thing that will be worth it will be interstellar and colonisation modes.
I never seen a rocket with just one SRB before, looks so weird and unstable, but it actually worked

Curious how long it took you to do this mission?
Did you use mods? The video says it's stock but the landing showed some trees on Kerbal so makes me think.
Cheers, It took about 2 or three months of Sunday's to create and record.
Craft is stock with DLCs but environment has graphic mods, surprised you mentioned the trees, I thought they were the only graphical effect that was stock, assumed to be considered the default ground scatter effect, may be off by default in some versions of KSP.
Can we expect OSIRIS-APEx in a few years too? :D
I was going to include it to this but kind of ran out of time, we shall see what happens when it comes around

Unsure, you could say I'm heavily into RnD mode at the moment, technically the only none Marcus House video I've made since this was a skate session video but still on my local.
