Gabriel Basso was very good in Night Agent and the show is very, very good.
I rolled with Gabe at Bas' gym and he was the same with wrestling. I assumed he had a ton of previous experience, but he just picked it up ridiculously quick and got better every class. Super nice guy too. I didn't even know he was an actor until I recognized him while watching Night Agent (fantastic show btw, definitely recommend. Can't wait for season 2.) Based on this video I am lucky we were not training any stand-up.

I think one of the biggest things is being able to get hit and staying focused. He must've had some older brothers that he'd fight. He just stayed in there. Good vision too, blocking kicks with his leg.
Damn good show as well. Not as entertaining as The Terminal List IMO, but I'm hoping for a season 2 for sure.

Elite genetic traits help. Fast twitch muscle, 02 max , the sprinter gene and muscle fatigue rate and recovery. If you have all those get in to sports.
He has a good feeling for distance, good coordination, his hooks are long, good eye to eye coordination. Good power. Good foot work. Sometimes some people have it almost all, wouldn't even necessary say it's genetics only. A lot of people have great genetics, can't fight at all.
Some folks are multi-talented, others like myself have none.

This actor has an amazing talent! Like a person with high thinking skills but he has it physical form of brut strength, hand to eye coordination skills like playing the drums in order to play actual music & he takes orders & carries as it is from hearing first try... Then he goes into sparring where Bas saw him and said do not hit another person in the head if you get into a real fight because that’s how specially you can kill a person... 😳😱🤯!
Nonetheless Gabieral has bright future in the acting career because he can truly express his talent in all forms characters and lifestyle, emotions and story telling! I just hope his fighting opponents have somewhat near his talent in order to take the punch... Good luck bro!

Yeah they could have , beut honestly I liked how mid he was, he was not super good which kept his character grounded and realistic so that the female lead could help him
He’s stated that he didn’t want to blow through people for his character. It’s not a fighting action show. It’s a thriller that has fights. He wanted it more real where he would take punishment as well. It’s good, because there’s no thrill in thriller, if there’s no question that the lead guy will cut like butter through everyone, like what would happen with Statham or Seagal. Not knocking Statham, he’s fun but he’s never really in any peril when he’s doing his regular action type movies.

The point was Gabriel basso is an actor with very little to no fighting experience. He trains with Bass for couple of weeks, takes a fight beats a guy that's 7-2.
Well, ultimately, this one fight is more verifiable footage than we have of Bruce competing in a full-contact setting. Most people don't discount the idea that Bruce was a legitimate martial artist or that he had _some_ degree of real physical talent. What people discount -- and rightfully so -- is the idea that he could be teleported through time and space and effortlessly dismantle modern elite UFC fighters with the skills he possessed.

There are a lot of people "in the fight world " that pad their record with can drivers.

This guy has footage, but he is fighting a nobody. These things have been around for centuries. And their striking isn't anything especial. They stay losing to CZcamsrs. Bruce actually trained in grappling as well, and trained fanatically in martial arts, not just when he there is a fight coming up, and sparred against regional champs in judo Jesse Glover and bjj guy wally jay and kickboxing champ Joe lewis. Just because phone cameras weren't around doesn't make it untrue. Record keeping exists in other forms. If you just researched a bit you would reconsider a lot of things. Or if you just threw a punch a day in your life. Read the wrath of the dragon. There is Cited verified bibliography in this book too. Bruce was NOT invincible, but while he was alive no one rang his bell and he ran across many capable people. Also some people waited after he died to start talking crap while Bruce vindicated his art while he was alive and noone stepped forward to embarrass him. Because they couldn't.
