Basant Ki Var, celebrating the onset of spring with Gurmat Sangeet. Vars are holy poems in the Sikh scriptures often composed in the style of an Ode. This piece, a Sikh religious song in raag Basant, Pauri Taal, written by the fifth Sikh Guru Arjan Dev, was composed by Harlove Singh, adapted by Makheer Singh and is performed by Sukhamrit Singh (violin) Makheer Singh (taus) Rahul Anand (Vocal) and Shivam Pathak (tabla).
This traditional Var consists of three stanzas; the mood of the song evokes the newness of the spring season, a period of a new beginning when vegetation stirs to life and nature blooms in all its beauty and splendour.

Very very well sung and played. I am a big fan of gurubani and ragas. When both come together it is totally blissful.
I found this today on CZcams music and played this atleast 50 times.
Have listened to 100's if renditions of basant ki vaar but this one is from kids which makes it special.
Motivates me to teach gurubani kirtan and Indian ragas to my kids while they grow up.
Would love to hear much More from these young guys.
