Another Westy movie. We restored this one over the summer. It’s a longer video but I wanted to go into more detail and try to help anyone that is doing their own restoration!
Nice work guys!!!! I did a lot of my own work on my bus & I learned a lot - I also learned that I swear A LOT. hahah!! It's really cool that your girl is into this as well & it's something you guys can do together.
Again, WOW, you guys do great work! I have the same van 86, same color, sahara gold. It's the full camper Westy. I had some paint work done here in Austria (Westy is from Canada) in areas but they didn't get the color right. Man, wish we had people like you here doing work like that. Wonder if there would be any chance of buying a small can of mixed Sahara gold paint form you and having it sent to Austria? I still have some that a guy mixed for me back home for touch ups on stone ships or whatever but it's pretty well dried up. Fantastic work guys!!
Wow. Very professional work! Respect! Looks fantastic. Only the Westfalia sticker on the front luggage tray is not in the right place and too high up. Too bad.
On the little panel on the back of the van (driver side) did you made it seamless? Did you remove the factory seam look after replacing the panel? Or you left it as factory look?
Real professional restoration. Very nice. The hours of labor must have cost a lot $$$...
I enjoy listening to professionals. Thank you.
Great work guys!! we restored our Vanagon and finished it in a medium blue
WOW!!!!!! AWESOME JOB!!!

Where are you? I've got a Westy that needs a paint job, great job!
Wow!! Amazing videos. What type of Epoxy do you use? Brand?
You guys do great work! I am working on restoring an ‘87. How do you freshen up hardware like door strikers, latches etc.?
Normally they are in good shape on these Vw’s. We replace the seals on the handles and paint them
Hi. Great paint job and restoration. I am curious if you have ever worked with the vinyl paper that peels inside on the cupboards.
We normally use a heat gun and remove the paper. Sometimes I’ll send the wood and paint.

Left it as factory
Same color as my van! How many hours would you estimate went into this one?
It took two months with two people not every day but pretty study
Ijust acquired my westy and need to purchase those back bumper end caps...do you share resources?
The bus depot

What sand blaster machine are you using?
Just a cheap Harbor freight one. It works well for a small areas
@@BenJoLo thank you!!
Did you weld the back panel on or did you epoxy it on?
