    I always respect a review from a genuine mother who uses it regularly.
    Twin pushchairs are so much better than twenty years ago when I had a silver cross tandem, and a graco tandem, as well as a maclaren triple buggy when my son came along so I had 3 babies in 25 months. I then had a graco side by side along with a single one and their dad pushed one and I pushed t'other.

    I just bought this stroller for my sister! She has a 1yr old and is due this Sept. The thing that sold me was the side by side seats. I did not want to "stack" seats on top of each other and only have one child visible. So excited to pick it up today!

    Soon-to-be twin mom here as well, and I feel you! It's hard to find something that's efficient, convenient and great to use over a long time. I also hate shopping and for things I know I will use daily, I rather invest than buy twice! I also really love the idea of the BOB revolution flex 3.0 duallie, but apparently, only one car seat would fit in. It's more meant for two kids where one is slightly older than the other.

    One question I had with this stroller when car seats are attached is did you have trouble going through standard doorways? Or going through aisles in grocery stores?

    • @SummerWinterMom
      @SummerWinterMom  Před 2 měsíci

      It’s slightly wider with the carseats attached, so doorways are difficult - really it fits fine without the carseats but for some single sided door ways with the carseats may not work. But most places I didn’t have any issues. Just depends on where you’re going, I loved being able to see both of my babies in their carseats though

  • @Merope4ever

    I just found out with the Mountain Buggy Duet you can also have a side by side double where both children face you. The carry cot plus can be converted into a rear facing seat. Of course it will be a narrow seat, but you have that with all side by side doubles. I thought the Donkey was the only widely available one with 2 rear facing seats, but I was wrong.

    • @SummerWinterMom
      @SummerWinterMom  Před rokem

      Oh that’s good to know! I hadn’t heard of that one either. Thanks for sharing that!

    • @runningfromabear8354
      @runningfromabear8354 Před rokem

      I looked at that one and was really excited until I realised the toddler seats don't rear face and the twin car seat adaptor has one baby higher than the other. The seats max out at 40 lbs but the Donkey maxes out at 50 lbs.
      It's a good alternative but missing a few things that I wanted.

    • @Merope4ever
      @Merope4ever Před rokem

      @@runningfromabear8354 The car seat mode would only be used for very short trips anyway. In and out of the car if you just need bread and milk from the supermarket. Things like that. I saw somebody in a theme park with their baby in a car seat lately and I think that is irresponsible. They should only be in their car seat for 2 hours at the time, this is for the spine development and breathing. If you go somewhere with the car and put them with the carseat and all on the stroller, than you are extending the car seat time. So you need to be careful with that.
      And I am starting to think that the maximum weight limit of the seats doesn't always directly correspond with the strength of the build. There are also warranty related choices, advertisement related choices and rules involved in the number of the weight limit that is given. If you want the best indication of the weight that the seat will carry than you need information about how the stroller holds up over time. Big chance that the Donkey will more easily accomodate bigger children, because it is a bigger stroller. That's the pay off. But I think that sling seats in the Mountain Buggy make that it uses the space most efficiently to carry relatively big children in a relatively small stroller.

    Hi, thanks for your time to show us this trolley, it is really useful your point of view as a user. I expect twins and I am looking for a trolley that will last for few years and would be practical and this one looks perfect! Could you tell me the smallest size when it is completely folded (e.g. to store in the car)? According to the website seems to be 91x60x24 cm but as far as where I live I have to order it on the internet I prefer to make sure it is suitable to store in my car before buying anything. 😅 thanks a lot

    I also have this stroller. And I definetly agree with everything you said. The only thing I don't like is that the seats are a bit small. So where the bottom of the baby, for example my 15 month old, is getting, there is not much space. it is very small. he kind of leans forward so the straps are holding him more instead of him comfortably sitting all the way to the back. I hope it makes sense. Did you have that problem too or are your children sitting just fine?

    • @SummerWinterMom

    So I just want to be clear and sure about my purchase. So your saying the buggaboo double stroller for twins , comes with two bassinets, two seats ? Does the adapter for car seats to click on comes with it or is the separate? And for car seats the nuna lite can click on the buggaboo stroller ? It doesn’t have to be the buggaboo car seat right

    • @SummerWinterMom

      The adapter is separate (because there are different ones depending on what car seats you used) I bought my adapter on Amazon. (My twins’ car seats were the nuna pipa lite lx and it worked great!) 😊

    • @SummerWinterMom
      @SummerWinterMom  Před rokem

      Hi! The storage compartment underneath came with this stroller. As far as fitting through doorways - only in really old houses where the doorway is smaller than average have we had issues fitting through. Otherwise it fits through most standard door frames. The only other thing to know is that the car seats make it wider if you have two car seats on it (we had Nuna pipa infant carseats) and sometimes to get through a door we would take the car seat off for a minute then push the stroller through and then put the car seat back onto the adapter. Hope this helps!

    • @SummerWinterMom
      @SummerWinterMom  Před 2 lety

      Thanks for watching! I’m a little confused about your question. To clarify, the only car seats I used for the stroller are the Nuna pipa car seats. You can use multiple different types of car seats but those are the only ones I used with this stroller (that car seat has a base that stays in the car). The stroller doesn’t car with car seats. It only comes with bassinets and stroller seats.

      @@SummerWinterMom Okay thanks for replying. What I meant was the nuna car seats are for infants till they are approx 15 months of age right? Once they grow older we will switch to the stroller seats in the stroller itself but what about in the car? Do we buy different car seats at that time? Sorry for so many questions am new to this world and feeling a little overwhelmed by the number of options out there.

    • @SummerWinterMom
      @SummerWinterMom  Před 2 lety

      Hey, no worries at all, I totally understand the overwhelm ☺️ So for us we used the Nuna pipa carseats until our twins were too tall for them which was around 13 months for us, then we bought Nuna Rava car seats next. But regarding the bugaboo donkey twin - it comes with bassinets and stroller seats & we started using the stroller seats around 6 months once they outgrew the bassinets. Then we switched the stroller seats and the car seats back and forth in the stroller 🥰 I hope that helps!

    • @SummerWinterMom
      @SummerWinterMom  Před 3 lety

      Aww yeah I get that. Congratulations on your third! This one is a great stroller for one toddler and one baby or two toddlers but I’m not sure about if it has the ability to hold 3 kids (I’ve actually just recently begun looking into this too in case we have another little one in the future!) I think they may have an extension available that you can use to have a third standing while the other two ride in the seat or bassinet, but not entirely sure. Wagons might be a good option too but I definitely understand not wanting a big clunky wagon - I hope you find the right fit soon!

    Hi momma! I've read the stroller with the seats/bassinets can fit most doorways but not when the car seats are on. Is this true? And if so, did you just resort to baby wearing one of the twins when those happened and you only have the car seats with you? This is my 3rd pregnancy but my first set of twins. I'd been researching for a travel system since I found out I'm having two this time! Lol. Thanks in advance!

    • @SummerWinterMom
      @SummerWinterMom  Před 2 lety +2

      Congrats on expecting twins!! Yes that’s true. Most doorways work fine without car seats but with car seats it was slightly wider. Whenever I had to fit through a doorway with both car seats I just took the car seats off and carried them through the door separately from the stroller and then put them back on once through the door, OR you could also wear one baby in a carrier while using it in single mode. But I didn’t come across that issue very often. I hope this helps! Congrats again!

      Personally I loved being able to see both at the same time and with the infant carseats was great too but then again the side by side does make it wider and harder to fit through small doorways so it really depends on where you visualize yourself taking the stroller. Hope this helps a tad!

    have u tried traveling with this stroller through an airport? is it able to fold with the seats attached before you go on to the airplane? if not, how would you store the seats if detached? is it a little tedious to have to attach and reattach whenever getting into a car? 😅

    • @SummerWinterMom
      @SummerWinterMom  Před 2 lety +1

      Great questions - it’s super easy to fold and unfold and remove seats etc when getting into the car, we take it everywhere with us!
      But as for the airport, when we fly with it we check it at the normal bag drop (it takes a little bit of time to get all situated in the large travel bag - here’s a video of how we pack it to travel on airplanes: czcams.com/video/bed4YwfQhDw/video.html )
      Otherwise we use the Mountain Buggy bags to maneuver smoothly through the airport with our twins. (Here’s a video of us traveling like that - czcams.com/video/7bAZsIEwhmE/video.html )
      Hope this helps!

    Hi. When both seats (not bassinet)are world facing position, are you able to recline them in maximum flat? Today I switched mine from bassinet to sears jar to realize that it’s not reclining together as it’s wider than a frame itself.
    You can do it in only in parents facing mode though.

      That’s a good question - I personally have an SUV so I’m not sure how it would fit in a sedan style car. I can say it does fold up nicely when it’s in the smallest position but it may be best to double check the website for exact measurements of which cars it fits in. I know it’s 29” wide when it’s in double mode. The fit is definitely something to consider. Hope this is helpful and I hope you find the best stroller for you!

    Hi! I have the same stroller! I love it except I was wondering what your thoughts were on the seat fabric as far as thickness/padding? I feel that the material feels very thin and you can easily feel the hard backing near the head area especially bothers me.. I’m comparing it to the vista I also have n it’s so much more padded.

    • @SummerWinterMom
      @SummerWinterMom  Před 3 lety +2

      Hi! It’s definitely something I looked at but it never seemed to be an issue, both my babies always seemed comfortable in there & we usually had them swaddled nice & comfortable when we used them. ☺️ one idea though if it’s a concern is possibly maybe adding something underneath the padding to thicken it? I don’t know, we never tried that but that’s just one idea. Just speaking from our experience our twins were always pretty happy with the padding that came with it ☺️
