    Hi all, here I have tried my best in compiling all the services KSRTC had and have to date. It's a detailed compilation of KSRTC services, design, and liveries. Any buses, brand or liveries missing here, plz do mention in the comment section.

    My favourite red bus of those days..have seen KSRTC time table in 1987 showed bus service between Mumbai and bengaluru 24.00 hrs run time...amazing drivers who drove buses in narrow two way roads , without power steering, constant mesh gearbox( for example if we have to shift gear from 4 th to 2nd we have to press clutch for 4th to 3rd again have to press clutch 3rd to 2nd gear.) high accident rated routes. Long working hours they are really heroes.royal salute🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙂🙂

    Even though my parents wished to become a doctor but I loved to drive buses. I was fan of all drivers n always used to stand behind the driver during my childhoods.As everyone was fan of actors however i was craze about these drivers. Finally, I m a government servant.
    The days of fast furious race bw
    133 n 133E, 190 n 191, 201 n 201, 310 n 311E, 404 n 258A, 130 n 130E, 62 n 62B, 316 n 318 made me mad of buses. Hats of to those drivers.
    I love u drivers.

    Have traveled a lot from Bombay to Kumta during my early childhood in the 90s by the Tata Semi Luxury buses, when Konkan Railway wasn't yet built. I still remember KSRTC's Bombay-Bhatkal was a Tata Semi Luxury with white and blue stripes and Bombay-Mangalore was some kind of a Super Deluxe bus.

      Yes ...the ksrtc was managed very well....(only hitch was the seat in then ordinary buses had no high head rest... this used to be very uncomfortable especially during night journey... with your back head banging on to railing ...) But the buses were maintained very well for long distance run.... overtaking luxury buses easily

    Excellent compilation. The Rajahamsa Ultra Deluxe made me nostalgic. Watching and travelling by them from Bangalore to Udupi until 2005 was such a exciting thing even though I had considerable motion sickness back then. The Body was a very beautiful one. Titanic of KSRTC. Was it built on Ashok Leyland Chasis? After 2005 until 2011 almost the same buses were used in Karwar (NWKRTC) for City Transport. Was in a very pathetic condition. Puking smoke like hell, and the large body made the life of drivers hell to navigate through our roads here.

    Really very good and I enjoyed it. I had travelled in all these buses. During 1980's I used to travel to Kannur (Cannanore) in these Red KSRTC Buses, then it was changed to Front door Semi Deluxe buses (2+3) patterns. Then in 1998 it was changed to Semi Delux (2+2) pattern. Then finally the Bangalore - Kannur in 2005 was changed to Ultra Delux & finally Raja Hamsa. Now Airavathas are also operating. All these buses were earlier operating by BNG Depot 1 at Shanti Nagar. Now I enjoy traveling in Karnataka Sarige buses from Mysore to Virajpe and vice versa. It is nostalgic.

    Those busses were called as "ಸುಖಾಸೀನ". I used to see one such bus in Mysore, which runs between Mysore and Panaji during 2001-2003.
    @3:42
    Similar to Venkatadri which runs between Bangalore - Tirupati and Sahyadri which runs between Bangalore - Shimoga, we had one more bus brand by name "ಚಾಮುಂಡೇಶ್ವರಿ" between Mysore - Shimoga with same design but with blue stripes instead of green.
    @2:52
    During mid 2000's travelling in Rajahamsa was like " Middle class people can not afford it".
    Excellent days those were.
    In current KSRTC services, I prefer Rajahamsa Executive for my weekly travel between Bangalore - Mysore and I prefer Non AC sleeper coach busses for longer journey

Besides versions of Tata and Leyland buses in traditional Red and Yellow, the blue stripes for Semi Luxury beauties from Mysore Depot. wow! Nice to hear all the memories u had in BTS/BMTC sir. Thanks for sharing the route details here, most of which are vanished now. From the above-metioned route list, 191 was my favourite route. I used to travel in my childhood school days. One such bus on route 191 had an extra-large open door at the rear to enable women commuters to get in at rear.

      Yes, sir. Till date, the most likely buses in KSRTC were the red beauties. We miss them.
