I really think Opie is better now on his own than with Jim. They just dont work together without Ant at all. Alot of people hate opie, and there are things to hate him for.. but when he relaxes and fills the room with fun people, it really works great. Not many radio shows are as good as that.
I agree, but I do think SiriusXM caused a lot of the issues between Grego & jimmy!

With the inevitable death of the PC culture, it is not going to be difficult for Sirius to bring back Ant. And even if some people were furious with it, fuck em! We don't have to deal with PC bull shit anymore because its losing. If i was Sirius, I would have that show back on tomorrow. What is sam gonna do, sue? The guys would hate him for it and he would be gone permanently.
I haven't listened to too much of the Jim and Sam show. What did Sam do wrong though?
That show is awful, I like Jim and I could Sam was tolerable when he was on O&A but when he got his own show it was painful and now Jim is thrown in and words can't describe how bad it is. Opie's show has it's moments depending on who his guests are but he's obviously still unhappy and wants out. Seems like pod casts are where it's heading.

I grew up on these guys. It's nice to see them back together even if it's just for a phone call. Alot of people hate on op or ant, but they are like peanut butter and jelly, they re styles are completely different but when put together something magical happens. But that same difference created misunderstanding and miscommunication, their gift is also their curse. I'm hoping they can put their differences aside and at least do one last full show for the fans, we deserve a little closure.

It looks like opie really saw what time it is and wants to jump ship and see if he can rebuild a ship with Anthony "the talent". It looks like Anthony is just cruising through his career and even made a couple strides and opie has been going through some rough bumps with his career.
I'm not going to lie them regrouping would be a big moment in my life. Their chemistry is undeniable and I would definitely get a satilite radio if a regrouping happens :)

Ahhh,the Christmas Spirit,
the XM years were fantastic. They were able to do edgy bits like the 55 gal drum challenge, homeless shopping spree etc. Itd be great if the boys could get together a few times a year and do some kind of structured bits like the aforementioned.
I just listened to the 55gallon drum bits today and hearing them happy and liking each other bummed me out so much knowing how much they hate each other now 😭 it sucks lol

I remember there were a lot of times when Ant wasn't there and Opie would get very stressed out without him. There was one time Jim left early and Opie kinda freaked saying its stressful enough without Ant here! And now here they are together again in a time of uncertainty for both. It's just natural for them and I cannot believe that Sirius doesn't see how great they are together. This bullshit ban is such poor business sense, it's crazy they're still in business. Howard is barely there and moving more into TV so he can't possibly be bringing in subscribers the way he used to.

I think it would be a smart business move on Sirius to terminate the ban on Ant and let them do the show together again. Would be a huge amount of people tuning in including people not familiar with the show due to the hype that would be around it.

Wasn't a fan back in their day, doing other shit, but these two are terrific together. If they did a simulcast with the formatting of dueling comedians at each studio, they'd get my sub. Period.

Much as i love to hate opie he was pretty funny here. And there is a certain chemistry between him and ant that is missing in any other radio show that has appeared since. They are the best and some of the old shows are timeless and hilarious
junior soprano he was simply the guy everyone loved to hate. Without all that, shit fell apart. Listening to these guys in their own shows makes it all sound incomplete after we got used to decades of these guys together.
If they ever get back together, they need Bill as a regular since they need a guy to stand in for Patrice and his common sense and wisdom on female bullshit.
Patrice was the glue keeping the old O&A together when shit got crazy in the studio. Opie felt angry about a lot of shit Ant said or did because it jeopardize their jobs. He felt Ant didn't give a fuck about their radio job and the shit they built together over the years, but he was never man enough to come out and say it.
Instead, he played the passive aggressive bs we all hated him for.

These guys needed a break from each other. Problem is the way it happened was not the way it should have happened. When Opie's contract ends he will team up with Anthony again. Opie and Jimmy need to make peace as there are bad feelings there.

The moment everything went wrong with the show was November 29th 2011. That's when it hit a breaking point. The death of Patrice O'Neal was the last straw of funny that was holding the show togeather. Just knowing Patrice would be on at some point in the future made the show funnier.

You must've lived in a two block radius near that station. Damn frustrating that the reception was only good at the crest of a hill as you were bending your antenna to a 67-1/2 degree angle on a partly cloudy day. Those days were my first taste of this brilliance too. Nice callback.
