On a positive note, I've lived in Austin for 7 months now and have now heard several stories from mutual friends (or acquaintances) about Zach and Katy. In "real life" they are apparently supremely boring (in a good way) and definitely have every intention of staying out of the limelight and not becoming full-time influencers. I didn't even watch Zach's season but I definitely love their approach to life post-Bachelor and really appreciate that they keep to themselves for the most part. They recently stopped by at my friend's pop-up shop for dog accessories (lol), and my friend said Katy was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. Wishing them the best and definitely have hope that they will be one of the few couples that stay together from this franchise!

I mean it’s the couples that post a lot that almost always break up immediately.
Whereas couples like Rachel and Bryan and Zach and Katy seem to be doing a lot better long term by staying out of the spotlight.
Makes complete sense to me. I also think there's gotta be a significant level of narcissism that only grows over time as you get more and more attention online. It has to change you, and you may not like the person your partner turns into, and vice versa. I would never!

This is heartbreaking.. Kaitlyn's crying story was very relatable. I hope they heal quickly, both seem sweet.
I do get what Jason was saying about resentments, in any long term relationship at some point your partner will hurt your feelings because no one is perfect, and if someone is going through a *bad* time and isn’t being a good partner then those resentments can build up. But it sounds like they were both living their dreams, and yes having to make sacrifices for one another, but for good reasons. I think he needs to unpack why we was struggling to be happy for his partner, and why her “living the high life” while he was home bugged him so much.
If I had a dollar for every relationship that started going downhill because of dancing with the stars…

Agreed!!! Like I get what he was saying about resentments building up, but usually that happens when someone is going through a shitty time and being a bad partner. But the fact that he specifically says he was resenting her for “living the high life” while he had to care for their *dogs* just screams “I can’t be happy for my partner’s success” and that’s not good.
Also, how does it take 6-9 months to repair that kind of resentment?? What does your relationship look like you can’t repair damage in less than half the year??

He just doesn’t seem like the kind of person who can have a successful partner, his self worth isn’t strong enough so when his ego is hit, it really affects him.

If that's the case I totally agree with you! However, keep in mind lots of babies are still made even when the proper safeguards are taken. For example my best friend's little brother who is 12 years younger than us, lol.

You can't assume every pregnancy was caused by having unprotected sex. Plenty of people have used 1 or more forms of birth control and still get pregnant. It's not 100% effective.
I mean a baby can come with those things! My mom was on BC when she had me and my brother was conceived after a failed vasectomy (go to your follow up appointments men), and a friend got pregnant with an IUD (again, go to your doctor appointments ladies). I think his dumbass move was telling the whole word his baby was an accident. Like that poor kid.

I really thought these two were gonna make it…damn. Also, I have joint custody of my dog with my ex and it’s surprising smooth…we switch every other week. My new partner even helps with pick ups and drop offs and everyone is friendly to each other.

While I love Gabby and am so happy for her about her latest relationship, I can’t help but be annoyed with ABC for always making these young people the bachelor/bachelorette when it’s so clear they have so much more self-discovery to do and are not ready for marriage. It feels like they’re consistently wasting our time.

4.29 i think it might have been more to do with wanting to take on responsibility of joint dog ownership and then leaving him to look after the dogs solo for 3 months straight. I don't think he would want kids with someone who could potentially go off for 3 months and leave him to solo parent. It works for some, but not all.

@@_myronspov I was more responding to the previous two comments but I commend your bravery. I did not realize my own bisexuality until probably around 24 or 25 years old. I knew I had dual attraction but didn’t explore it fully until my mid 20’s. I never necessarily “came out”, I simply stopped restricting my dating pool. I never felt a need to proclaim my sexuality for all because I knew my family would accept me regardless, as I have an out/gay parent. 🌈
I'm just gutted over Kaitlyn and Jason's breakup. Waaay too invested in people I don't know other than through their interviews and podcasts. Kaitlyn is a lot and I thought she'd finally met the man who loved her unconditionally. So sad for them.

What is up with the cryptic instagram posts that celebrities are going out of their way to let the public see? It's so weird. Like it's meant to cause intrigue, and if the post is seen as tonedeaf/controversial, they can backpedal later, claiming, "Oh, that post was taken out of context, here's what i really meant." It's all so contrived and attention seeking. And the celeb claims to want privacy but they constantly update their social media with cryptic messages that their fans are meant to decipher.

Kaitlyn has said multiple times for years that they put work first and didn’t even have time to plan her wedding. So sadly I knew it wouldn’t last.
It's so weird how sometimes people (myself included) will stay in a relationship that they know isn't really working.
To me that’s a symptom of the relationship not being right for them. Jason needs a partner who is home while he goes out and is successful and Kaitlyn needs one who encourages her to live her dreams.

I felt Jason wasn’t really there for the right reasons . I think he was drawn to her because she is successful. His resentment could have been because he didn’t become famous with her and she still was the star. Even his pot cast was not that great . When you live someone their success isn’t an issue and taking of care of dogs should not been an issue .
