Just dropped in this morning having come across your channel and was hoping to follow your channels but unfortunately the longer I watched the more it became and info channel pushing products for sponsorship and that’s not my idea. Anyway all the best for the future and hope you have a great time.
As a matter of interest I went downtown in Warwick to pick something up about lunchtime today and who should be going through town but yourselves heading north. I hope you got you rig repaired after Cooper Pedy. Once again thanks and good luck

Can you explain out of the 72 vids where am I pushing products? Every thing I have I use because it works and is good and I've done my research before purchasing.
If you watch the majority you will find the vids are informative.
Read the comments and read what people say.
I do not get paid by any one.
Sorry you feel that way. Try watching Alice and beyond. The last 6 vids. Absolutely no pushing products.

My concern is, not so much the weight capacity of the legs, but the weight capacity of the mounting points on the van, itself, and the rails they attach to….not much good having legs that can lift 1800kg, if the mounts can only cope with a fraction of that.
…and the bolts! It appears you re-used the same bolts that were in the standard legs…what are their rating?

As they are stabilizer legs , not jacking points, especially the rear outer cross rails.
The rear cross rail isn’t engineered for that.
Would discuss with van manufacturer and have design for that ( position under main rail ) or do airbags or just level the old fashion way.

AB can I ask who you are, and what is your back ground? The reason I ask is the guys at JB don't have a problem with them.
I'm sure if you speak to Urgen at Boss he can give you the back ground on the legs better then I.
I did a fair bit of research on theese before bying them. I have not seen 1 complaint anywhere on them. Yes I will contact the brains trust at the JB factory today and get their thoughts and respond 2 u. 🍻

    • @ab7406
      @ab7406 Před 2 lety +3

In most standard builds the rear cross rail is 3 inches, sometimes is 4 inches but not as many. Mounting stabilizer brackets to main chassis rails is a better way, Bos370 sells bolt thru brackets for this.
I’ve seen a very heavy off-road van chassis full off-road and they noticed the van body twisted under lifting from rear corner position, and with front leg, but connected to car, back leg is doing most of lifting.
I’ve used the bos470 jockey for over 3 years, and changed over to a blackjack electric jack as the mrs can now do the job by a press of a button.
Cordless drill was to high and hard for her. Basic ergonomics.
Please give both sides, everything has pos and negatives.

@@JustBrilliantAdventures They're certainly an improvement. My other concerns are: if you upgrade to these it does alter your tare weight compared to the VIN plate & also the idea of jacking a van via the corners to perform a tyre change. Many chassis won't be built to take the weight at this point, hence the central traditional jacking point. The stabiliser is obviously made for it but is the the chassis?
