Very helpful. Sobrang need ko po ito ngayon na gusto ko mag go deeper sa pagbabasa ng bible. Gusto ko po sumali sa gantong class or study ng bible para mas maintindihan ko yung word ni God in a deeper way not base on my own understanding only.

@@CakeMasterChefTotoy blessed day po :) tithing is strictly part of the law sa Israel and very serious matter po ito sa Dios na like any other law, kapag hindi nasunod, may serious consequence.. hindi lang ito 10% ng kabuuan kundi halos 33% ng kaninlang income: 10% para sa temple, 10% para sa charity, and 10% every 3 years contribution para sa feasts and ceremonies ng Israel. Ang tanong nyo po ay kung kailangan pa po natin mag tithes, not necessarily, pero expected po tayo magbigay because it is an evidence of being saved (not a means- not salvific). We are not under the law but under the grace of Christ. Pero hindi ibig sabihin ay wala nang use ang Law sa buhay natin. The Law is a guide for us, it teaches us the holiness of God and His holy standards. Yun pong tithing ng Israel noon ay paraan ng Dios ng pagtuturo sa tao na importante sa Kanya ang pagbibigay dahil ito ay mahalagang attribute Nya bilang Dios. Hindi ito tungkol sa Dios na materialistic, not at all. Mahigpit ang pagtuturo ng Dios about giving and tithing noon dahil alam Nya na ang pera ay malaking parte ng buhay ng tao at may potential na gawing dios-diosan ng tao. Pero gusto ng Dios na maging mabuti tayong stewards. Tayong mga anak Nya ay inaasahan magkaron ng pusong mapagbigay. It pleases the Lord when we are generous at ang pera ay malaking test sa marami sa atin kung kaya ba natin i-offer ito sa Dios o hindi. Kung naalala nyo po ang account about sa babaeng balo, ung dalawang kusing na binigay nya ang mas nakapag please sa Lord. Dahil iyon lang ang mayroon sya pero ibinigay pa nya sa Lord ito. Gusto ng Dios na mayroon tayong surrendered heart na mas mamahalin natin Sya kesa sa pera natin. So when we give, it should be from our hearts and not dictated by our personal calculator. Many times, when we are lead to give, we give more than the 33% as the law says... always ask the Holy Spirit to guide us especially when we are giving.. We give not out of the Law but out of our Love for Christ.
