No kidding, the first video I remember watching from him was a wheelie build in Forza or the one with the subie and his neighbor.
Lube it with WD40 specialist PTFE instead of normal WD40. It will repel the dirt and do a better job lubricating it.

Regular WD-40 isn't even a lubricant at all. It's a penetrating fluid and as such will only work as lubricant for a very short time. After a few days, it will dry up into a wax-like layer and you will be back to square one.

Try their specialist dry lube for the joints, traditional WD-40 isn’t meant as a lubricant. You could also try graphite spray where it’s suspended in alocohol and dries in the joint
Why is it such a common misconception that regular WD-40 is a lubricant?
@@speedskid4838 Probably the meme about the two most important tools you can have. Does it need to move and it doesn't? WD40. Does it move and it shouldn't? Duct tape. Its likely that whole thing being in the general public consciousness.
Coming down here to say this same thing. Graphite spray works wonders but can lead to some unintended issues where if it sits too long the particles will start to bond and act like an old grease. Still WAY better than water-displacement formula 40 but ya know
@@speedskid4838 Maybe because if you go to their website it literally is marketed as a do all, including lube, but that doesn't make it a good lube :D
Regular WD40 is a solvent, not a lubricant. Its great for spraying it into something you need to take apart, but as its a solvent it strips any lubricants that are there and it dries out leaving the parts without any lubrication. I didn't quite know this until today, but I did have an idea since to oil old door hinges I'd use WD40 to make it easy to hammer out the pin, then dry it off and coat it with Vaseline to lubricate it. In the case of the heim joints you use a PTFE lubricant, so if you used WD40 Specialist Dry Lube instead of the WD40 Multi-Use Product then its all good, as it would last a lot longer before needing more WD40.
Tub it and get the diff shortened, can still run deep offset wheels to retain the factory look but means you can have your slicks sit in the guards.

For my heim joints I use blaster white lithium grease that works quite well, it creates a film that lasts longer then wd40

80-90 gear oil is your friend. We found that out a long time ago with motorcycle chains. I bet it would help your heim joints.

That would attract dirt and cause premature wear. A dry lubricant could work.
That’s what I used to use. Honestly, if these were “greasable” it would work great. But since they aren’t, it’s hard to get the grease in the actual joint since it’s so thick. Wd40 does a good job at penetrating into the joint, although it doesn’t last as long.
You can actually buy rubber boots for the heim joints

I think you should wirewheel the rusty exhaust tip randomly to make the rust less uniform. It currently looks like it was painted orange lol. You could also haphazardly mist some black paint over top of the rust

Turbo guards aren't that great anyway. If you want your turbo to make the stereotypical badass supra/skyline video flutter you need at least 10" of pipe, preferably with some kind of 45 elbow or 90 swoop bend in it between the filter and turbo. Just slap the biggest 13" double pleat or w/e (draws from the outer ring and the center) cone filter you can with a sizable length of pipe and disconnect the BOV and it'll "dose" (what the Aussies call that epic sound) like nobody's business.
