- Hello Hoppers! Today we go back to the BASICS. There are still loads of viewers who are nervous about traveling and really want to go step by step. Today we cover the BASICS of Checking-In. Hope it helps!
**ATTENTION** AS OF NOVEMBER 2018 RYANAIR HAS NEW BAGGAGE RULES!!!
ALL passengers are allowed ONLY A SMALL BAG (40 x 20 x 25 cm) for FREE.
Passengers are now grouped into Priority and Non-Priority Boarding.
Priority Boarding = Pay 6-10€
2 bags are allowed in the cabin (small bag (40 x 20 x 25 cm) & wheelie (55 x 40 x 20 cm))
Non-Priority Boarding = Free
ONLY THE SMALL BAG is allowed in the cabin
10 kg bag is checked into the hold of the plane and you pay 10-12€, 20 or 25€
20 kg bag is checked into the hold of the plane and you pay 25 or 40€
All bags except the SMALL BAG must be dropped off before passing through security.
So basically, we can all travel with the small bag, and if you want to travel with a larger bag, you will have to PAY FOR IT.

Please note: At minute 1:21 I say that the first thing you have to do is go to the counters. Well, if you don't have a suitcase to check-in or drop off you don't have to stop at the Airline Counters. You can go directly to security. I just wanted to clarify this point. Thanks!
Correction: The fee to reissue a boarding pass is not 20€ but rather 15€ on Ryanair.

I'm glad I'm not the only one confused about the whole procedure, with covid tests now things got hella lot more complicated. My first abroad holiday next year with my daughter so getting prepared and organised. Last thing I want is to get refused entry or get stuck on holiday 😫

thanks! this helps me a bit because I will be preparing my first solo flight to Italy next month and of course I want know everything about checking in at the airport to checking out to filling out landing cards, I'm a bit nervous to be flying solo since I'm mainly used to flying with family and my mom is the one who mainly does all the checking in but I am so excited to go alone this time! let's hope it all goes well.

Also want to add that at some large airports like FRA the smaller carriers ck in counters are sometimes handled by larger airline staff ( ex: LH handling Tarom ck in) so you really have to look closely at ck in counter signs for your airline not necessarily staff dressed in the logo/uniform 👍🌐😃

You know the way now that Ryanair started flying to the Frankfurt int but a bad thing happened a giu I know went to Dublin to the other Frankfurt airport his bag ended up on the hann flight

LUGGAGE TIP:
Tie two or three colored ribbons of different lengths around the handle to your luggage to warn others that this is not their luggage. People grab luggage at the turnstile and take it home before you ever see it.
Use a man’s “half windsor” knot for the best look.
Anywhere you put your bag, it could be grabbed in error. Example: overhead compartment, unloaded from the bus, at the hotel lobby, turnstile........
Use 3/4” wide ribbons about 12-14” long. Cut the ends at 45 degrees then seal the end with one drop of Super Glue to prevent fraying. If each ribbon is slightly a different length by 1/2” or so, they will all show no matter what. Tie the 3 ribbons as if it were one ribbon using a half Windsor knot.
After it is tied on, the total length of the ribbons will be about 5-6” from the handle. A little longer ribbon shows up better. You can see it from 40 feet away.
Perhaps tie two handles, top and side of case. Put your phone number on one ribbon using a permanent Sharpie.
Choose one ribbon to have an unusual pattern or fabric to really make it unique.
Lay all 3 ribbons on top of one another. Then tie them with a half Windsor knot, same as a man uses.
Stand by the output hole of the turnstile to reduce the chance of someone else grabbing the piece.
Tie your skiies, duffel bag, and what ever with matching ribbons-even your computer case.
If you are a Travel Agent, you could gold stamp one ribbon with your name and phone number. Then send a set of ribbons, red and blue and black to your customer as a gift. Record this gift in your database so you don’t duplicate yourself. Buy a gold hot embossing machine. Gold emboss your business name on the black ribbon. If there is a way to put the customer’s name on it, do that...

Very good question!! For citizens of the European Union, we do not need a passport if we are traveling within Europe. Our National Identity Card is sufficient. This is an official identity card that all citizens of the EU countries have, it is not just any ID. Thanks for watching my channel!

Sure, no problem. It says to check-in or drop off your bags go to counters 16-23, this is where Ryanair is. Notice at minute 1:21 of my video, ALL the flights are Ryanair flights (FR on the screen)! So, all those different flights you saw will go to the same counters. Above each counter there is a sign that will say Check-in, or Drop off, or Business, etc. whether you are flying to Palma de Mallorca, Pisa, Santiago, etc. Frankfurt-Hahn airport is a little different than other airports, as most flights are with the same airline. This is more common is smaller airports. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching my channel! xxx
