When I was in junior high school I used to go to the library and secretly search out various kinds of classical music by various composers. I would put the earphones on so no one else could hear and sit back in my cubicle and listen and close my eyes and just absolutely fall in love with what I was hearing. I did not want the other boys to find out because children can be very hurtful and not understand the value of beautiful music. I continue now at the age of 73 years old still feeling that same Love for the depth of quality which touches my soul in classical music. I just don't have to wear the earphones unless I want to.

Not necessarily true. Maybe it was a local thing. many great rock guitars love classical music, I would listen to Led Zeppelin and then Bach, no need to feel the need to keep it secret. I know many people back then that listened to several genre of music and no one bothered them. Sorry that people made you feel that way.

I’ve played violin for almost a decade and I’m about to graduate high school. There have been so many times where I wanted to quit but going back and hearing the sounds that the instrument can create and all the different tones and moods and textures made me change my mind. I couldn’t ever leave this instrument, it’s one of the most important things in my life.
If you haven't already seen it, watch the movie The Red Violin, it's enough to make anyone want to play or learn to. Violins touch the heart and can bring out such wonderful emotions from just this one instrument...amazing!

I see a lot of people talk about their mom. I honestly fell in love with classical music because of all the school plays we used to have as kids. And it just stuck with me. Most millennials my age listen to loud rap, techno, or new age music. It feels horrible that I don't fit in but i think of what it would cost to try to fit in and I feel better about it.
i feel you, but the fact you like classical music doesnt make you special - it doesnt require special education from you to listen to it and hear its harmonic beauty. more to say, sometimes modern music requires being more tuned in from you to enjoy it

If it’s day for you, don’t start it by such sad music, I know it’s impossible to have a good day with such mindset but take baby steps, start by drinking two cups of water in the morning and so on.. You will start building little healthy habits.
If it’s evening for you, you’re probably overwhelmed and stressed, I want you to know it’s okay to feel the way you feel. You don’t need to be scared, of course you’re overwhelmed or stressed, I mean who wouldn’t? But it’s important to know that when you feel that way you should do a little self care, such as taking a bath for example? You deserve to feel at ease and relaxed.
