    Bryce and I (Josh) headed out to the stand for Bryce's first bear sit ever. We were excited and the anticipation was high as there were lots of big bears hitting the baits.
    After topping off the bear bait, we set up in our tree stand. During our sit, Bryce spotted a beautiful Cinnamon bear and the hunt was on. He made an excellent shot and the bear expired within 20 yards of the bait site.
    Congratulations Bryce on shooting a Big Manitoban Colour Phase Black Bear! A dream first bear for many people.

    So many shots. Also could not understand all the moving around. But wasn’t there so I don’t know. Congrats

      It definitely seems that way but being that this was his first bear ever he wanted to be very sure of his shot.
      Adrenaline definitely got the best of him for moving around but you’d be surprised how many experienced hunters struggle with this when seeing their first bear.
      He made sure to wait for a broadside or quartering away shot and the first few opportunities he couldn’t hear me give him the go ahead. In the end he ended up making a perfect shot on a gorgeous bear that would have some of the best hunter’s shaking in their boots.
      Thanks for watching and the comment👍

    Nice hunt man 👍I'm just asking what do you do with the bear do you eat it? And is it any good

    • @clearwateroutfitters
      @clearwateroutfitters  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks Ron! Yes we do eat it, contrary to what many people may say, bear meat is very good. If your using it for anything slow cooked, like stews, roasts, pulled meat or even burger it’s debatably the best out of all venison👍

      I love bears A lot of people don't .it is really greasy . The bacon of the woods in my opinion

      @@011CJ if you take the fat and sinew off I really don’t find them greasy myself. It’s still much leaner than beef or pork. However, if you compared them to something like a whitetail, I suppose it has a lot more fat to it 👍

    Not going to lie If I had the funds I would totally pay for a guided trip 4 years and still no bear. Life has been busy so I hope this year I get an honest chance at a hunt longer than a few hrs. Nice bear he got thanks for the vid .bears always in my back yard here in wa but allwase after dark and hooked on the trash 🤮

      Thank you Casey! I hope you get a better chance as well. Spending some quality time in the woods is always a blessing.
      Pretty neat to have bears in your backyard but too bad they’re hooked on the trash! Not sure id like to eat one of them.

    So many chances to take a headshot......

    • @clearwateroutfitters
      @clearwateroutfitters  Před 9 měsíci +1

      There were a few for sure. That being said we’re not a fan of headshots. As much as it seems like an all or nothing shot there are definitely chances to wound them and the target is much smaller than you think.
      It also wrecks the skull which is an important part for scoring and part of the mount.
      Where as a vital shot has a much larger area to hit and with them coming into the bait you should be able to get a shot.
