Tyler isn't the one to blame. He was physically, mentally manipulated by Laurel, and litteraly CHAINED AND TORTURED. If season 2 happens (which I REALLY hope does) I want Bianca and Xaiver to slowly start trusting each other again, (lets be honest there was NO chemistry between Wednesday and Xaiver like come on) and for Tyler to betray and kill Laurel then end up w Wednesday cuz come on. THE CHEMISTRY, THE ATTRACTION. I believe Tyler fell for Wednesday but was confused cuz of Laurel's manipulation. You can see from ep 1. he cared for Wednesday. So please tim burton... I think the show kind of fuck up this couple. Because they are starting dating and when Tyler comes out as Hyde they act like nothing between happen (and I really believe that Tyler liked Wensday). So I think there story should go in difrent direction cause I don't believe that he was lying about how he was feeling about her.

He looks so sad when he pretty much admits he’s the Hyde tho. You can see tears in his eyes. Also when he walks past Wednesday you can see the guilt in his eyes. I feel like in season two we will find out that he had true feelings for Wednesday but the control that laurel had over him was to strong at the end.

Honestly I am heartbroken.. when I found out that Tyler was the Hyde because it was so cute how Wednesday was trying to hide her feelings for him, and I’m pretty sure that the Hyde aka Tyler has feelings for her,and he was being Manipulated by his master he didn’t want to do it,he was being told to. And the fact that when he confessed to Wednesday he had a tear in his eye because he knew he didn’twant to do it. And the fact that Wednesday was about to cry made my heart sink, because they both loved each other Hyde or not. And it’s just so sad that Wednesday can’t trust him anymore because He played her but the thing is he didn’t want to do it he was being manipulated, and he actually loved her. And you could see in the show how much he was actually falling for her and how she was falling for him. And he is one of my fav characters. And it’s sad that the one person in the show That you would least expect to be the Hyde is the Hyde. Because he was nice and sweet and caring for everyone and Wednesday. So I just hope in the second season with is in two years unfortunately, she will return to the school and she will see Tyler and even though she doesn’t have his trust he will go to rehab and learn to control his powers, and hopefully Wednesday will gain his trust and they will bond through out the second season and get together again because they were so dang cute together and I read so manny comments about this and everyone around the world is heartbroken about Tyler and Wednesday and hopefully the people that make the show will do that. 😢😢

Hyde's seems to be tragic creatures. In order to create one, someone needs to basically manipulate them and the Hyde would be their slave. Ever loyal to their Master.
In the first Episode, Tyler wanted to leave the town with Wednesday, possibly to escape his Master. A Hyde can be activated if they are subjected to Traumatic event and the Mastermind literally chained him in a cave, and tortured him to turned him to a Hyde.
Since the Hyde is based on The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, the more Tyler becomes the Hyde the more he eventually liked it. As Tyler explains, overtime Tyler remembered his victims. So he genuinely wanted to escape Jericho with Wednesday, however he is literally devoted to his Master at that time, and couldn't

I think people forget that Wednesday is like also a sociopath? Like she tried to kill her brothers bullies...the reason why she was interested in the killer was because she was infatuated on to why someone would do it cuz *she* didn't get it (check out Jenna's interview on this) she didn't save Nevermore (initially) to be heroic but as a pride thing. But when she got closer to Enid and her other friends it's when it changed, Tyler was included in tht close circle. So for her, the first guys she's interested basically hurt her pride and the few few people she gives a fuck about. So it's this immense betrayal of both their romantic relationship and platonic. HOWEVER I don't think Tyler being a killer would sway her regarding her emotions for Tyler. Let's be honest here if anything I think she LIKED that part of him being a killer it's just the Context and WHO he Killed and why that bothered her . Its the fact that in Wensday eyes and also the audience that Tyler BETRAYED her and given the Addams family theme of unity even with difference and also Wednesday being prideful it's a double hit and understandable why she grows indifferent to spiteful of him, Tyler went against her , hurt her pride the few people she cares about AND her families morals. I headcanon that their exes that are still very much romantically and physically attracted to one another but can't because of all the shit that happened in the past.

Honestly i could still see a chance of tyler being with wednesday. With her dark analytical mind i could see her being fascinated with him. Uncle fester said there's not much known about hydes. No matter what the truth is for the sanity of my brain and heart I’m just gonna pretend that Tyler has always loved Wednesday but because he was manipulated, tortured, and abused by Thornhill that is the way he acted because a Hyde’s top priority is to listen to their master (he also just probably didn’t want to get abused more😃) so I’m praying that Tyler will have a redemption with Wednesday is season 2 and Thornhill will be dead and she can become his new “Master” or tame him. (Also this is literally the Addams family, not a normal family so she probably isn’t gonna settle for a non crazy partner)
It was weird that he said "I sense you're giving me signals" when she was more comfortable towards him at the end and not before, but you can understand that maybe he wanted to keep her in town.

The fact that Tyler was the one broke my heart. Their Chemistry was perfect, always wanted Tyler and Wednesday to be together, but Tyler just didn’t play with Wednesday, he played with me as well.
I think the biggest part was when he confessed about the Xavier thing, it seems like he was also referring to being a Hyde (after watching the whole thing) - I did a bad thing, but I'm not s bad guy. And I think he felt relieved when Wednesday reassured him that she wasn't judging him for his actions. And even at the confession at the police station, he basically hints to her that the "end" was coming. I think Wednesday still trusts him, and Tyler has real feelings for her. I mean other than the whole, main character armor, when he goes to kill her at the end he's slow and hesitant. Everyone else got slashed in their spot, but he trapped her against a tree and took a minute before trying to claw her - cue Enid's save.

For all those who feel sorry that Tyler is the monster: everything he did and said on Wednesday he did it unknowingly, under orders from Professor Tornhill. The human-Tyler truly loves Wednesday, but when he is transformed he is no longer himself. In fact, many times the monster-Tyler didn't kill Wednesday even though he was ordered to do so. All this is understood in the finale, when Tyler, after saying to Wednesday "You don't know what awaits you ..." withdraws and seems a little confused and disoriented, this because in that moment it was as if he were "commanded" by the Hyde which is within itself. anyway, great edit!

Guys, come on. Tyler is a boy who doesn't get the proper attention from his father, he's without his mother, when he asks his father about his mother, his father is neglectful and doesn't want to talk about it. Then the little redhead saw that the way to manipulate Tyler was by using his mother, then it shows the Flashbacks of the little redhead approaching Tyler and showing him that his mother was a Hyde, she may have manipulated him in many ways, have spoken that the outcasts killed his mother, for him to get mad at the outcasts and help her, but he probably didn't want to help at first and so she kidnaps him, takes him to that cave and TORTURES him, we see him IN chains, then the little redhead appears with a syringe in her hand, I have the theory that that syringe must be some kind of drug that she gave to Tyler, or it could be that syringe that made him look bad. What makes me believe that Tyler is good, is that he was tortured, if he was really bad, the redhead wouldn't have to torture him, she probably did it to force him, another thing that makes me think he's good is that in the beginning he tried to flee the city with Wandinha, remember? I think he was trying to escape from the redhead and protect Wandinha, and remember when he tells Wandinha "at least one of us can leave Jericho" meaning that he was trapped there without being able to leave because of the redhead's control over him, but Wandinha could leave, he was already giving her tips and she didn't realize it, I think it was a way of asking for help, and there's also that scene in the police where he cries talking to her, I don't think it was acting, I think it was another way to ask for help

He can have regrets but that doesnt mean he cares about her. It doesnt matter what the actor thinks, it's the writers lol. Tyler first interaction with Wednesday was 100% genuine because he didn’t knew it was her the sacrifice, the others scenes were actually to get her trust, but he also liked her, the actor himself says it, and yes, what the actor says is important because he LIVED the character, he knows his character so if he is saying that Tyler actually liked Wednesday is because it is the truth. I think he will get a redemption arc, he deserves it, and I really hope they give a second chance to Tyler and Wednesday

Was anyone else just waiting for Tyler to somehow defeat laurel and end up with Wednesday? It just didn’t seem real that Tyler could like genuinely be a bad guy

I think Wednesday and Tyler are a much better couple. Even after revealing himself and capturing her, they still flirted the entire time in their own weird sociopathic way. I believe Tyler genuinely liked Wednesday and always accepted her for who she is. He could have easily said otherwise at any point after revealing he was the hyde since saying it would have hurt her and he had no reason to keep up the facade, but he didn’t because he does actually like her and was being controlled. He never got mad at her for being dismissive, sadistic, selfish or not returning his affections outwardly, he just went with it unlike Xavier. However, him being the hyde and his master hating her got between them. Tyler actually saved her life so any times and fought his urge to kill her in his hyde state on multiple occasions, plus killing any threats to her including Rowen and the homeless guy who threatened her in the old meeting house ruin. He only attacked her when he was ordered to but had several opportunities to do it. He got more and more unstable the more he turned into the hyde and was manipulated by Laurel, which is why it turned into a competitive winner/loser conversation at the police station. She was pissed because she was tricked by him because of her competitive nature vs the fact she hurt Xavier. I don’t think Wednesday was ever freaked out by him saying his victims’ fear was delicious because freaking people out is something she takes pleasure in herself, plus she doesn’t really mind potentially killing people if it serves her purpose like with the swimmers and the piranhas. Wednesday and her family have no problem with serial killers, Uncle Fester’s first wife, Debbie whom Wednesday called sloppy for getting caught, and all the other murderous family members mentions are examples. Plus, Tyler was killing people on somebody else’s orders, and for a purpose so the logic is understandable to her. She was really more fascinated by the hyde than scared of it and wanted to catch it to figure out the puzzle vs justice, and only really became mad after it hurt Eugene. She is protective over people she tolerates like her brother and friends and was getting even. Xavier is a good guy with a moral compass. He got mad when Wednesday was with Tyler and couldn’t understand that she honestly didn’t care about his mean prank. Wednesday was impressed by Tyler’s prank on Xavier vs judgmental because it was mean, and he was impressed by her piranha stunt vs being horrified. They are much more on the same creepy, sadistic wavelength than her and Xavier. Tyler liked her the way she was and never judged her for not caring as much. Xavier will be the one to change her to be a bit more moral, nice, and socially acceptable, but in her original state she was much more like Tyler. Now that he isn’t being controlled and manipulated by an outcast-hating maniac and can make his own choices maybe there is hope for our lovable spooky sociopaths, Tyler and Wednesday?

tyler Even though they say that he tried to kill Wednesday, he was only being manipulated by Laurel, his dad didn't understand it and he was never there for him, that's why he saw Laurel as his everything, but I feel that if I can feel something for Wednesday and hopefully in the second season help him control himself and this one with Wednesday
Well, I'm still thinking that Wednesday will be his new master in future.
