    I was discussing ncha with my mum and she said her grandmum had this authentic recipe with okra and I told her to hold my cup, and ran straight to YT. I knew I will find someone whom the ancestors has given the mission to preserve this recipe and once you started you said “fore fore mothers” I knew I was in the right place. Thank you for the work you do. 🙏🏽🙌🏾

      If I understand you, do you mean is it slimy in the mouth. Not at all. Tastes just fine if you get it right. Very unique.

    Is there a method of cooking ngu

    • @chinwe.kitchen
      @chinwe.kitchen  Před rokem +1

      By cooking do you mean heating it up? You can choose to make it on a low heat burner using this method but then the texture of the ngu will be different.

      @@chinwe.kitchenma I finally tried your recipe,but I didn't get it right 😢 I used two bottles of oil,so I added more of the okro,it came out too thick and it's drawing, but the taste is ok.

    • @chinwe.kitchen
      @chinwe.kitchen  Před 10 měsíci +2

      @akaayarjoy7267 if it’s too thick you add more of the ngu water. Use less okro. Just follow exactly the way I made it and you will get it right. Good luck.

      It's a healthy dish for everyone. If you substitute ngu for potash, it becomes unhealthy
