Hey Matt you are a real person, not a fake like other people. So genuine and i'm so glad that you are fine. I never knew this about you, and I know my dad encountered a life threatening disease that happened to him and I saw what troubles he had to go through and it was tough on me. I just wanted to say i'm happy to know you as a friend, keep at the youtube buddy and don't stop like I did haha, I can't wait to see you at a million bro! Much love :)
+BookOfKen
This was a really fascinating thing to hear since I've never known anyone with testicular cancer before, and I'm SO happy that you're here now and you made it through to tell the story! Thank goodness everything worked out okay, and it's really great for you to share your story with the world!
+BBPaws It's a tough subject to talk about I'm sure... My friend was having abnormal bleeding and afraid to tell anyone including her parents, I talked her into going to the doctor and it turned out to be Ovarian cancer. Thanks me everyday for "saving" her life.
jesseboombatts
Thank goodness she listened to you!
+jesseboombatts Always a good idea to just get checked. I always wanna know instead of just leaving it to chance.
What a weird episode of CarBS.
+Hoss haha ;)
lol
Ocelot Is that a reference so something ? is he lying ?
@@WrecklessEating I know this video is 4 years old but I just got testicular cancer. How long does the pain last after surgery??
Kudos to you for telling your story - you may have saved a life today!
It never ceases to amaze me how many people bumping around in life have a story. And more often than the person's story is impactful, life altering for them and compelling for others.
R.I.P. Lefty :(
Glad you're OK, Matt. Not many people can say they've had 2 different forms of cancer and lived.
I don't have cancer but if I did, you would be the coolest most relatable person to share the story with. A very comfortable personality for people going through what you did. Very brave matt!
Thank god you made a video on this, I've heard you mention it several times over the years. Good thing you're okay.
+OfficialNinjaSkillz I felt like an update for those that didn't know the previous video was a thing was needed.
Took a ton of ball to make this video Matt! All jokes aside, I have major respect for you sharing your experience and I'm glad you had the outcome you did. Your outlook on the whole ordeal is something people suffering from these sort of diseases need, staying positive will save your life!
I hadn't realized you'd had to deal with this. Thanks for putting this out there. The fact that you can talk about it and are obviously happy, not just in this video but in all of them might just save somebody's life.
I was just diagnosed and it was like you are telling my exact story. You give me hope that it will be ok.
Stay as positive as you can and fight the good fight. I hope everything works out for you
How are you doing now?
Thanks a lot,Matt for sharing this deep truthful story! Hope everything works out for you!
Did anyone else have a pain in the nuts when he was talking about it
Rightnow Lol Fuck
+RandomGuy Towards the end yes feels like i should check them
mines was blueballs
When he mentioned cutting into the shaft and pulling one out. Fuck.
Yup
I'm glad you made it through safely. The world wouldn't be the same without you, Matt.
It's been a while since I've watched videos from WE, but i chose to watch this because my college RA for next year had testicular cancer, and he is a survivor of 6 and a half years. He had a very aggressive form of it, but he caught it right away because it hurt pretty bad. He's very grateful that he's alive and now embraces the many different nicknames he gets because he only has one nut. I'm so glad you're cancer free and hope to watch as many WE vids as i did before I got so busy with college related things.
Happy that your story could end so well! And to know that a lot of guys are gonna see this and get checked out is awesome.
Thanks, dude. Killer 2 can't survive forever!
Dude, Matt I think you're a great person. I've only known your show for a couple months but I can honestly say you're the sole reason I always come back and watch more. I think what you're doing is courageous and the fact that you spoke about such a sensitive subject with a smile on your face shows how tough your character is. I applaud you, admire you and I hope your road in life is better and cancer-free. Keep doing what you're doing man we love you
+Miguel Figueroa
Hey man, thanks for putting this up. Just got my diagnosis last week after having had the surgery, and it's good hearing from people who've made it through.
u forgot to rate the surgery
5/5 FU's
Dude you know it was 5/5 God is good!
+Seth felix Patricks Allahu akhbar!
+TheScheiss what does that mean?
+Seth felix Patricks It means praise god.
Those insurance companies think they are so mighty with their two testicle employees.
+Musicbookoholic lol
lmfao all bad hah
Glad your ok broski keep doing your thing
damn dude glad your ok now, what a insane story.
Thank you for putting this story on you tube, I really enjoyed it! Keep on living your life Matt, it sounds hella rad!
Love how positive your attitude is about it now, and how you actually understand depression. Most people just shrug it off like you said.
+Eric Brooks I'm glad I did experience it even if only for 2 days. I can completely understand what people go through.
Glad you're okay. Very cool of you to open up and share!
Hey Matt, thanks for talking about this. I'm currently a patient suffering from Testicular Pain Syndrome. It's basically the pain of torsion, without the cure for it. Not many people talk about the pain we suffer from, so thank you for opening up about this.
+Aqsa
cheers for talking about it :) think its great that youtubers sometimes talk about personal struggles. it helps a lot of people.
100% completely and utterly agree about your stance on humour. No subject is off limits IMO. I will laugh about anything.
I'm glad you made it okay. You and your friends make my life interesting and fun too. Have a great year, Matt.
+Gristle Von Raben
aww Matt you're absolutely amazing! I'm so very happy that you got through that horrible time and made it through and have moved on! you're an awesome person! much love and bless you! ❤️❤️
+Xocheerleader17
I didn't realize that StorWe and Random Ramblings were deleted. I really liked those videos. Also, good to hear that you're cancer free!
At least I know its treatable now. Thanks man, ive been so worried for the worst for the last couple days.
Just listen to your doctors and make sure they stay on track time wise. Let me know if you ever have questions. facebook.com/WrecklessEating/
I was pretty scared for a while that I had developed testicular cancer, but it wasn't bad at all.
I had a white bump on the left side of my scrotum, and apparently, I got it from chafing, I walk a lot because I'm overweight and need to excersise, and the bump was a boil. I popped it and a gooey substance came out, and now I'm okay.
Thank you for sharing your story again. I feel like this one was much more detailed than in the Q&A or StorWe video the last one was in. Glad you're ok Matt!
You know, it takes a lot of balls to tell your story :) Glad you're okay Matt!
+Kylie Eliz *ball ;)
God bless ya Matt. I have skin cancer and had a giant chunk taken out of my shoulder by waiting kinda like you did. I'm alright at the moment though. This was very cathartic to me besides the normal vomit worthy videos haha.
+Dave Jackson Hope you're ok dude ! Wich you luck !
+tre97able thanks to the two of you. It's a problem that many people have and don't have a way to speak out. Matt speaking out about it like this takes a ton of balls, (like furious Pete) to admit it without making it a sob story. More power to all of us here who can admit it and mind over matter.
Kinda unrelated, but I've been watching Wreckless Eating for like 4-5 years, ever since CutleryLover sent me over here, and it never fails to amaze me how positive and uplifting you can be in the darkest of times Matt. It's cool that were from the same area in SoCal too so there's that lol. Keep doing what you do man!
+Nightpool Gotta try your best to keep yourself happy. Only got one life to live.
+WrecklessEating Well said.
I don't agree with you on a lot of issues, but I have a lot of respect for you after this video. You're a good dude with a good platform.
I think it's a little *too* convenient that around the time you had a ball removed, Naader started making appearances on the show. Illuminutty confirmed.
I kid, glad to hear you're doing well now, Matt!
Thanks for sharing man, I'm glad you were able to recover ! 😀
I lost my grandmother to brain and lung cancer. I'm glad you got checked out man, keep up the great uploads! 👍
+Garett Oleary
Yours went out that way, too? I'm sorry. Mine went out not only the same way, but with metastasizing through her blood, bones, and stomach.
Truly, it is the worst.
+jayjay86443 Damn, I'm sorry to hear that man, it really is truly awful.
Cancer sucks peen. Lost my dad to it. It wasn't directly from cancer but i mean cancer played a huge part in it soo kinda was cancer imo.
glad I stumbled upon your channel man keep up the good work, you and The Reckless crew are awesom
That must have sucked man, glad that you're okay now. I love your content and I hope you keep up the good work
+Funky Munchlax
I think he is amazing for doing this I have been watching this channel for over a year and I just love getting a notification saying a new video is up but thank you wreckleeseating for making me laugh
Wow, dude [I] had no idea you this happened to you. I've been only watching for a few years, but you're pretty jovial, but I guess that's in-built to you. Glad to know it was taken care of. Thanks for all the videos, too!!
How long did it take you to recover from surgery? My brother has a swelling which he says is sore and not hard, but firmer than the testicle itself, he says he can't afford to take time off work at the moment so is doing what I think a lot of people do and hoping its nothing and will go away. He complains of lower back pain and groin pain but blames that on work too, says he's had it a couple of weeks and its got slightly worse but not enough to stop him doing anything. He's 33 and a smoker and used to drink heavily. He won't tell his fiancee either cause he doesn't want her to worry and I don't know how to force him to go to the docs.
How's everything?
@@aegisreflector1239 turned out it was cancer, he had surgery and made a full recovery. He still sees a doctor regularly and gets frequent blood work but fortunately there have been no signs of anything returning :)
Thanks dude, this is helping me, I've have a lump in my left one for more than a year because I just couldn't deal with the pain of telling my dad I think I have cancer since my mom has died from cancer and my sister has past as well, I'm getting ready to tell him tommorow. You might have saved my life, thank you 💕
Kevin G where you ok?
Any update?
glad to see ya still kicking Matt love ya
Hey Matt, thanks for posting this!
+Ken Domik (Ken'sVlogs) Miss ya bud
Glad you are okay thank you for sharing, my father in law is passing away within two weeks from brain cancer.
+Hostile Gun Sorry to hear it :(
+WrecklessEating I do appreciate it not anything anyone can do so thank you so much.
Your actually really brave for saying this especially on the internet.
I can remember having a similar story where I actually needed a pacemaker but was uninsured, and it was one of the scariest times in my life. Fortunately I was able to get insurance through the very first pre-Obamacare plan called the PCIP (pre-existing condition insurance plan) that was enacted by the government and within 2 weeks had full coverage through United Healthcare and I immediately went into the hospital and they put a monitor on me. I came back two days later and they looked at the monitor recording and said "that's what we thought...you need a pacemaker" and the very next day I was back at the hospital for an outpatient procedure to implant a pacemaker into my chest. I would have probably died without the PCIP coverage and even though the insurance was a little expensive (around $300 per month) it saved my life. I now see my cardiologist every 3-6 months to get a checkup as well as run into their pacemaker clinic for 10 minutes and let a nurse put a device right over my pacemaker and read the data from it and make sure it's still functioning properly. I can sympathize with Matt and have heard his story before, and it's definitely a good idea to fondle your testicles and taint in the shower when you wash down there or rubbing one out because it can happen to anybody. If you find something that doesn't feel right in your scrotum/taint finish up and use your feet to push the semen over to the drain side so it'll go with the rest of the water and you don't have to worry about stepping on a sticky spot the next time you shower, and go call your doctor and get an appointment ASAP.
So happy you are okay Matt! And I'm so happy To have discovered wreckless eating. I stumbled on it a few years ago and have been watching everyday since! Keep up all the good work and I'll always be supporting!
+Corbin Mickles :)
Man your mom is a life saver ! What a story.
Big time. She rocks.
I'm going through the same thing as you did. Ive watched this video 2x. Was it seminoma? You said you didn't have to do chemo. I've heard that they suggest 1 dose of chemo for this. What are your thoughts on that? Have you done a lot of tests after this? Any more CT scans?
I've been in the clear for around 6 years now. I get tested every 2 years now. New one coming up in December.
Thanks for the response! I'm nervous about active survalience. I'm trying to find what info there is on it. I did the CT scan Friday - not a fan of that.
Great video Matt! Keep doing your thing homie
I can't remember if I mentioned this recently, but I check myself regularly, thanks to you. I think I needed someone I know to have gone through it to be like..."Oh shit, this is actually quite close to home", kind of thing. Anyway, I found a lump a few months ago and shit myself. Luckily it was a cyst, but I will continue to check myself. Really interesting to hear your story dude. Obviously glad you're okay.
+Food Review UK
Mad respect for you Matt!! Glad everything is ok (:
appreciate the story matt! love u
I had my gall bladder out about 12 years ago, and the way they told me how they suck it out through a tube was pretty cool...then I heard you explain how they pulled yours out...and I just cringed and squeezed my legs together in PAIN :D
Glad you're ok though - been loving the channel for years now, keep up the AWESOMENESS that is Wreckless Eating :D
+Bryan Sproles :)
props to you man for coming on here and talkin to us about what you went through i cant even imagine goin through that and yes my left nut hurt during the video lol but anyway you and Pete are inspirational and make me proud to be subbed to your channels :)
Thank you Matt for telling your story, most of the time we are told 'check your self' but I have no idea what that means and I was never taught how to check properly, I am sure millions of men feel the exact same way. Although I think checking is the way forward, knowing the symptoms is just as important.
+Lucas Vander-Bartlett I pretty much stand by if it makes you 2nd guess what you feel down there just get it checked :)
Wow. Your mom sounds amazing!
I live in Canada and I know people who wait 6 -18 months for biopsies and screening. It's amazing that you can get in so quickly!
+MizPersnicket That's the nice thing about the US I think. I know you guys all get it for free if you like but I heard horror stories like that example of waiting months.
+WrecklessEating we can have things fast but it means paying to go to a private clinic/hospital. This isn't covered by our extended medical/insurance. Our HC system is horrible. I'm glad your story had a happy ending!
Oh yeah, wow ---harsh! Thanks for sharing your experience ---major props for going through all that. Including the hallucinations. And for not letting it affect your reviews of chicken nuggets... ;)
I lost my right one. I didn't have to go through Kemo either. But I did go back for checkups for a few months and kept taking X-Rays to make sure it didn't spread anymore. Luckily I have been cancer free to date as far as I know. We are both lucky! Sorry to hear about your testicular cancer. I can honestly say that I have been in your shoes! Stay Strong Brother!
+James Ficker
So you guys weren’t staged ? thank god
How are you doing now? Did you get any symptoms?
weird fact phil kessel the nhl player had testicular cancer and got one removed i believe and then came back and played and is still playing so there is always hope in life
Matt, i am glad your at least your still alive. that's what matters most my friend. I always laugh at you when you eat spicy sauces. i am glad you are around to flail around. Thanks to the doctors that fixed ypu up buddy.
Jesus man glad you are ok man!! Keep up the great videos👍
thanks Matt. you've helped a lot of us out.
My cousin ended up getting Hodgkin's lymphoma cancer and he was having a lot of pain in that area and waited to long to go to a hospital and ended up having stage 3 he died at 19 in 2014
+amber dorrier :(
I'm sorry big time....: (
+amber dorrier im srry :(
Damn, I'm really sorry!
Congo
basin has gold
I'm glad your ok man,im going through pancreatic cancer myself and I'm glad you made it through brother
+RelentlessEating andGaming Hope things get better!
The Viper Of Death severe abdominal pain causing loss of breath and not being able to move from pain,it came on suddenly for me,but started with severe vomiting, inability to make bowel movements, severe weakness to name a few. i thought i was just sick and then after a week the pain came instantly and was rushed to hospital
My Grandfather had 3 kids, and he had to have a testicle removed due to cancer. They told him he was lucky he had kids before because the probability of having more kids was low, after that he had 9 more kids. You only need just one.
+Joshua Jones Yup just need one to still have children.
Nice one dude. Good that you can talk about it and even better you're OK.
So if youre OK with jokes I think you might like this. Was watching an Irish comedian one time (I forget his name) who had one testicle removed and opted not to get a prosthetic one. He said that the first time he had a one night stand after the operation he told her to grab hold of them both and watch her freak the fuck out when she could only find one.
In all seriousness, I've had two generations of my family affected by cancer. And I think it's fantastic there are guys like you sharing your story. No one should die because they were embarrassed or ignorant.
how did people dislike this, this is true wat he's saying guys
Held my balls the whole time.
Glad you're OK Matt (:
Awesome video man. I had cancer when I was younger myself and the main thing is getting to a doctor and not waiting to long. I was five and had a tumor the size of an apple next to my heart but they took it out and it's been gone ever since and I'm about to be 30 next week. They actually messed up when I was in an oxygen tent and my aunt who was a RN at that hospital came to see me and was like wtf. I almost died that night from improper treatment of an oxygen tent instead of the cancer. Things worked out though. I have had cancer so I got a pass on the jokes but I'm not going to. I'm more so glad you made this video that can reach so many people about it.
Thank you for your story. Good to hear you came out allright. Underwent exactly the same procedure (left nut et cetera) 5 years ago in the Netherlands but the weird thing is, I was literally out the hospital within 2 hours after the operation. Did not even need a single aspirine for the pain. Accurate specialist, I guess. Stay healthy.
What is food you are eat ? Are you eating meat or chicken. Because there are relationship between cancer and food . I hope to answer me ? Thank
@@ahmedalahmed4508 Thank you for asking. I ate, and still eat, chicken, beef and sporadically some pork chops. But not a whole lot (I guess 80 grams at dinner) and certainly not every day. I also eat vegetables and fruit. So I am a flexitarian.
So why did I get testicular cancer almost 10 years ago? My guess: smoking 7 cigarettes a day since I was 13 years old OR/AND a Du Pont chemical plant in the vicinity (1,5 km's) of my house. I also ate fruit and vegetables that I grew in my garden. But of course I'll never have any proof.
@@Kanarie1973 Testicular cancer is an abnormally growing germ cell. I think that the treatment is fasting, sports, and eating very little..because the latest scientific reports prove the relationship between sugar and cancer..what type of cancer do you have? seminoma or non-senonoma..thanks
@@ahmedalahmed4508 I had seminoma. This was treated by removement of the testicle and radation therapy on the chest area (13 sessions). After that I got a check-up every 3 months (blood check, x-rays of the lungs, physical check of the right ball and stomach) for 2 years and after that every 6 months for 4 years. I'm clean since the operation in '12. I got lucky, I found a lump on my testicle in a very early stage.
@@Kanarie1973 why did you take 13 sessions. If you found early. Just following is enough. May be after removing testiclicular. The marker is higher or spread to nodes.
just checked mine and they both seem right size.
LMAO
My Husband Matthew had an ultrasound done this past week at it came up as Microlithasis. Minor case. So we don’t know what the next step is. Not a lot of research is out there on this. I know God has this. I know God had you. Thank you for sharing your story, and I’m glad right when he knew that their was some abnormal size and tenderness, he waited 3 days and we went in to have an ultrasound done.
I’m so glad to hear that you recovered and you are on the up and up. God continue to bless you. Take care.
Just keep up with your doctor and be annoying. They tend to slack sometimes. If you message and email them a lot it'll keep the process moving. :)
hi what are your updates? did the microlithiasis develop into any cancers?
Thanks for telling the story Matt. Glad to see everything worked out.
+xraykitty :)
I'm glad you had the ball to post this. But seriously thanks for posting this. I had a scare a few years ago I had a growth that felt like another ball growing inside my sack. I couldn't stand, sit or lay very long without it hurting. Went to the Dr and luckily it was just a infection. It was an inverted infected hair and was basically a giant pimple inside my sack they did have to cut it to drain it but I was so relieved it wasn' cancer.
+TheInsanemonkeyboy Glad you are alright :)
Matt, Thanks for the story. Great way to share....honesty...is humorous and genuine!! I plan on showing this to my boys in sophomore health classes. We split the class up and have the girls listen to a breast cancer survivor. They guys will enjoy the way you shared your story.
Thanks for this, Matt.
Ive been a little bit curious for a while, you usually dont get these stories from (what I consider) normal people.
The speed at which the sunlight moved across the steering wheel throughout the video made me think about time, space, light, and other scientific occurrences.
Thanks so much for putting this up .
+Playnation Games Thanks for watching :)
Glad all is well now man!
Real shit Matt. I don't usually share CZcams videos but... it's that important!
Rather If I've seen the old video or not. Glad to at least hear this, also back in 2013 I lost my grandma due to cancer and didn't survive. It's amazing when detected early and glad lot of use are not alone. Also it was the same time I started watching Wreckless Eating for the 1st time. Amazing video and keep up with the funny content. If anything, this fan is a supporter of WE.
Thanks for this video Matt! It will help someone out there. :)
+Defensive Wounds
Dude a couple years ago, I noticed I had a lump like under my left testicle the size of a marble maybe and I freaked the fuck out and thought I had cancer and all that, but it turns out that it is just something called a varicose vein, but it still freaks me out to this day whenever I see it. But glad you're back to good health man.
+CelerityWins Glad you are alright :)
WrecklessEating Thanks (:
So glad you're OK now Matt. Testicular cancer is no joke!
+Cesar Urrutia Seal of approval haha
Cool Bro. Glad you pulled through it :)
Glad you were able to move past this experience.
I lost my left one 7 weeks ago. Stage 1 non-seminoma. I am on intensive surveillance now. I have to go hospital once a month. I am from New Zealand by the way :)
What we’re your symptoms?
How are you now?
yo I'm glad you shared this matt
Hope it helps some people.
I'm glad you went and got checked out!
Glad you're fine now man
well that was quite the tale, just goes to show you gotta keep an eye out for your health, even if it seems stupid and a waste of time, cause it's better than finding out you have a terminal illness that could've been stopped if you found out sooner.
love you bro, just got surgery about 7 hours ago, watching this was nice.
Hope you're holding up alright my friend
