Why playing Frontline? The Games take long and there is no good Reward anymore. You can get more Credits in a Random Game with your Premiums. Seriously: Some useless Directives are not worth it!

I prefer Frontline because tanks are made to fight on larger maps. Most maps in WOT are tiny and not suitable for all classes.
As a slow heavy tank player id say the maps are pretty damn big, wouldnt want them bigger in casual at least
Maps are tiny or everything is fast now? Boosts, turbos, people with like 6 skills on their crews and so on. Maps are fine 1000x1000

Definitely the fun part has gone down in FL. Earlier there were reward tanks. And introducing tier 9 would implies they don't want you to earn much profits from the game. On the contrary they want you to shoot more gold. This game is slowly robbing all the fun and excitement.
My opinion on FL, absolutely love it, two issues however. The change they made with the reserves was just stupid, we should be able to pick and level which ever we want, 0 good reason for the change, ultimately however, this proved to be a minor change that did not dampen the fun of the game significantly.
As for the elephant in the room...
Get rid of tier IX from FL, absolutely 0 reason, and funny enough ruins the TWO biggest attractions of FL, and we all know what those two things are. I might almost say that WG legit sat down and thought, "yeah, this FL stuff is beloved by everyone due to equal tier battles and amazing credit income" "I know right?, now fuck it over for the players"
As others have said, once the tier IX's are out, the fun and to some extent, the credit flow, is immediately halted. Imagine trying to take your tier 8 tanks from stock or grinding credits in a premium and run into some hulldown AE Phase 1s or other phenomenal tanks, immediately stopping you from playing well in the region.
As much as id like the reserve change to be reverted, I will simply say its a minor issue that's probably not worth hassling over.
But delete tier IX's for goodness sake, I will not negotiate with that choice, absolutely 0 reason to have them.
No I will not change my mind whatsoever.
Edit: Also, maybe its just my performance, but the credit income seems less than it was prior, and I also forgot to mention the less worthwhile rewards this time.
Hmm, dunno, ppl say tier9 will kill FL, but after few games I don't feel like that, little spicy, little less credit, bounce shell here and there, but STILL FUN, not as bad as ppl say.

WG just had to kill the best game mode they’ve got, the reasons most people loved it was because it was T8 only. The only reason I bought those Christmas boxes was for the T8 premiums and the gold to buy them as well. But with T9 now in FL I don’t see the point anymore.

Yeah its still fun, though i wish they would remove tier 9 in the next frontlines, if they want us to not get as much credits make the coefficient for the mode lower but dont ruin the fun as well as the credits
yeah I had to buy t8 tech tree tanks back AND t9s. Sooooo much credits that was hard earned (free2play here) all gone down the drain just to be "competitive"
Totally agree, I played 5 games today and once the tier 9s arrive the party is over.
My first time trying Frontline. I enjoyed it, if struggling at first to get used to a larger map.
I only have 3 vehicles for it: FV4202, Pershing (not Elite) and E75 (Not Elite, but long 105cm is good enough i suppose). I definitely struggle against the long-term players with Bond Progettos.
Damn bro i feel you. I mainly get myself premium tanks from Referral Contracts, now i have like 13 tier 8 premium tanks.
You can try to spam that contracts multiple times, and if you dont like the tanks you can pick Liberte and trade it with another tank because Liberte is expensive in gold value. You can trade Liberte to ELC EVEN 90 for only 500 gold lol

It is a great way to receive good tanks for free (if you earn gold from weekend War Games) or really cheap prices😂
The cycle goes: finish referral contracts --> keep the tanks if i feel like it or trade it with another tank --> trade it using gold that i made from clan activities.
That should counts as free tier 8 premium tanks if you dont mind few days to wait until the referral is complete lol
MM 30% char f4, 30% phase, 30% obj 777 v2 and 10% tech tree tanks
Basically:
Frontline last year - cool mode, long intense battles, earn lots of credits and some xp
Frontline this year - cool for 3 matches, battles two times faster with the attacking team winning 80% of the time, can not earn more credits than in a single regular random battle
In my experience defenders win like 90% of the time, im on asia server though so there are more campers than people who know what they are doing.
Still one of my favourite modes, no need for WG to add T9 to it though
I'll have to agree with WG for once. It DOES make it "easier" in two senses. A team which is being battered may get a second wind effect when several people respawn into t9s to e.g. make it easier combat a flank which has just more or less fallen. More even battle field = more fun, and games that end in 10 minutes are usually really boring.
Secondly, players who are not so good and/or don't pay into the P2W bullcrap and die more often as a result, get an advantage to help leveling the playing field, both against better players and those who insist on using said broken P2W bullcrap in the mode (bbq/rasque/4321 etc., and I'm totally pointing my fingers here skill).
If you dislike FL that's fine, and yes its a valid point that the mode is "nerfed" reward wise when it doesn't earn as much credits than before, but does it really need to? Shouldn't it be played because it's fun or at least some variation? It's still also a good xp grind, since those bonuses are still there, and I guess it probably also gives bp.

This is a moronic post, the pay to win does not stop at t8 and is arguably worse in t9. Have you played against a pimped out ebr 90 with 6 skills, food, and bond equipment? or a concept 1b with a similar setup. If I molly wopped you in t8 ill be doing the same thing in t9s only faster and harder. It does nothing for the balance of the game and destroys what made the game mode unique. Also what about all the casual low tier players who maybe have a few premiums and come to FL for credits and a reprieve from +2-2? They dont have good t9 tanks or reward tanks, let alone high skill crews to man them. This change is good for no one.

@@radfield6089 Well, that's a bloody moronic reply. There are no T9 reward tanks that you can buy for cash, so they're not P2W. They also don't carry the same credit farming incentive, and way fewer people have access to them, so we'll likely seldom see half the flanks being those kinds of tanks. If those that do want to farm in their tier 9 tanks they may do so, but likely many of them will stick to their tier 8.5 full prems for credits, since they likely will be able to reach general anyways, and beyond that there again isn't really any incentive.
Yeah, what about the "casual low tier players"? What do they have to do with this mode to start with (lol)? How is playing only tier 8 where 80-90% are prems, where most are better than tech tree counterparts, and several are likely to be the few that are broken, better for them?
They'll likely do the same I thing I will, use FL for variation to random battles, and to grind t8-9 tanks, as I will.

When it was T8 only, I used to play it every Frontline till I had finished each 'season' mainly to max the rewards, get tthe reward tanks & it was a *great* way to make credits, often in Skorp G/Progeto 46 I could make 200-250,00 per game, which for me was a lot.
Now, greedy WG have changed it for their own goals. Having T9 tanks join is so unfair. It means those in T8's only, or those who have bad T8's or those who do not have premiums will need to spam more gold to remain competitive. So per game costs will go up & now harder to farm lot of damage, so credit earning will be reduced. I will not play anymore Frontline.
WG shame on you.
The thing with frontline, like I loved the snow map because you can actually see your enemies, it doesnt take long for you to find somebody to fight but the forest map was incredibly boring, if you dont have an LT on your line up, everyone in the enemy team is pretty much invisible.

Many players, incl streamers like Quickybaby, Skill here and others have said adding tier 9 was a misstake. The vast majority is saying so. Let's hope WG will listen to this feedback.
I am also one of those who feel tier 9 has no place in FL. Just like skill said, this mode is to make good credits, crew xp or unlock modules easier with regular tanks if so.
Defending team with tier 9 like Concept B, T95, T30, Tortoise and list goes on. To keep it short.
WG *did* say this is just a Test so fingers crossed. If I made a poll, I am 100% sure how the resaults will show. Which way the scale would tip over.

The only reason I played FL was for the tokens to get the reward tanks. It was never about credits for me because I can make more in randoms.
Made a lot of money with tier8 but then AE phase1's and kpz 50t's came in and it turned into a hull down shitshow
Forcing me to use tier9 and lose credits (not much but still lose some)
Just play lights then you don't need t9 on the front line maps if you have a bit awareness
If you're losing credits in FL, I'm afraid it's time to take a good hard look at the way you play: reduce use of gold and work on your skills as a player. Kpz 50 is good cause the players are good (else you can't get it) and both AE and Kpz have enough weak spots to hit them.

Frontline is my favourite gamemode, its so chill, plenty of tanks to farm and bombard :3
For my part, FRONTLINE is the best mode game mode WG made in the game (With the 1st Halloween game mode "Leviathan"). But I'm not happy that they introduced tier 9. But still way better than Steel Hunt and Ranked Battles.

as a player who’s never played frontline and watching this video it looks to me a lot more fun when you can die and respawn instead of die in 2 mins and game over, there’s nothing fun about random games when their on tiny maps and the games last 5 min if your lucky, i’d prefer to play front line where the battles last longer and where you can grind multiple tanks per game where money is easier to be made and the maps are bigger. From what i saw frontline looks more fun to me
I just checked and you only get a total of 5 levels for the battlepass for grinding frontline all the way to level 15
so if you play tier 8 premium tanks,you make more credits? Or only score maters?

Also if you check tier 9 frontlines rental tanks in tanksgg, all of them have worse effective traverse compared to normal tech tree variants.
Best Way to grind Tier 9s. We all can now gets a lot of credits.
My first FL ever and I like it very well.
My note is 1+.
Tier 9s on this event is the right way. To play Stockguns on Randommode is very suck. The WN8 on a Tier 9 tank is going down if you play stock.
Only get out KPZ 50t or Concept 1B this are Rewardtanks and let's be in the tectree Tier 9s.
Then this mode is unstoppable.

Maybe it's just me, but I like the inclusion of tier IX. You can actually make more money when shooting IX with a VIII prem due to the level difference and Tier IX has most of my favorite tanks; being able to take them on a spin in FL is quite awesome.
Frontline doesn't have a skill cap high enough to challenge super unicums, so I'm not surprised you find it boring tbh. If you couldn't mark tanks to 100% you would find random battles boring too.
Thx skill for information about frontline I like frontline because you have big maps I don't like the tier nine in the Battle. Also you can't get any tanks for reward I don't like that it is all about moneys that is a pity.

For me the frontline is the same as 2020 and i still play it for credits. Yesterday with personal credit booster, clan credit booster and 15% from platoon i made clean 820k credits for 21 minutes, only playing tier 8 premium tanks.

some tanks will be absurdly dominant, at least the progetto and ebr could be killed an 1 shot by arty strike
What's wrong with Frontline IMHO:
Arty should not be a class we can play ( we already get arty strikes - air strikes )
Should have kept it only tier 8.
Should remove "gold" ammo from the mode.

Maps are way too small for the render range and vision range we can get, sitting in mid map rander is near the whole map, wheel tanks for maps the size we have is just dumb.
At times it really looks like WarGaming are trying various methods to have more and more players uninstall the game.
A few years ago I was mostly only playing tanks, looking at Skill - Dez - SirFoch - Circonflex - Zeven... in all those years I have heard them mention many many things/changes that would improve the game in so many ways, yet it seems WG listen to all of that and decide to do the opposite.
I have not seen 20k+ online on NA in so long, most time that I play I see on Central 12k to 15k and less than 2k on South server.

Frontline is a watered down version of Global Warfare mode found in the game Armored Warfare. I enjoy playing Fl myself as a tier 8 mm game. Adding tier 9s to game is no bueno. I am probably going to pass this one up and just play random games.
I had 3 borat rounds with average 2.8k DMG i think and made around 100k credits per battle, each battle lasting around 5 minutes. And I'm not even a unicum. Skill could easily get more credits by just playing normally id say

Idk if I can answer this question or not but, I would say that I want the t 34 85, when I went to grind for the 430U the T 34 85 was really enjoyable to use, infact even though I have the 430U I still have the t 34 85 in my garage, I use it kind of like a treat every once in a while.
@@icechilled2777 I agree. If you are free to play get T34-85 and don't go tier 7,8 EVER. Not worth it. At least don't sell it if you really want to go tier 7,8.
I think Wg made these changes to make the t9 reward tanks more popular and less useless. Maybe they encourage people with this to buy battle pass xd, but yea you can make effectively less credits, especially playing with t9-s.

By the way WG should add gun options to field mod. cuz some tanks have 2 compatible guns (like E 100) and currently, you cannot choose between them depending on map .
Can you finish missions (like for 260 and so on) in Frontline? I am having a hard time getting some missions done in Random Battles to be honest. 3.5k DMG to TD's is so much RNG and usually not enough TD hit points at all in enemy team..

I don't play FL. With my high ping values (270ms+) those big maps with so many tanks is almost unplayable.
It is all fun and games until you meet OG tier 9 tanks that spams 340mm HEAT rounds

Honestly, Tier 9s are the only reason for me to start playing FL. Do you really think I wanted to play before against Progettos, Borats, 703s and now Skodas (which are technically already Tier 9) with my TL-1PC or Strv S1? At least now I can be competitive with my Leopard and E50
TL 1 LPC gets 280 HEAT pen which is enough to pen hulldown 703s frontally, though the turret.
The TL1 is the very definition of paying to win. Gold shells are better in every regard.
The Strv S1 is no slouch either:
Good camo, pen and great gun angles.
I still like frontline more than randoms. It is so much better than 15-1 sim and just how fast the games go. Still super bummed there are no reward tanks for this frontline and only battle pass progression.

I'm only playing Tier 8 Premium Tanks in this mode with zero Premium Rounds..... When Tier 9 start getting involved, i switch to TD mode and play Passive/Campy, let the dmg come to me :)
First game I used my AMX 50 120 and done 22k dmg…
it is not ruined frontline is ok tier 9 more credits and exp (ALREADY 20 GAMES)
I played Frontline for the credits and the reward tanks... Now with the integration of tier 9, I don't think I will play it anymore...

To be honest, allowing some people to have over 100 million credits is just a bad game design. They will play full gold and have advantage against other players on every step (having premium rations is a difference between having 1000 spotting and 4000 spotting damage).
There should be a balance in this game, u want more pen, u will get less damage or will need to spend some time on grinding credits.
