Is Jaspr better than Flutter Web?

I really wanted to love Jaspr, but I couldn't do it. It is still a cool project through, and I encourage you to check it out and support it.

Glad you discovered Jaspr. I've been beating that drum for months now. :) You left out that riverpod works out of the box, and there's a go-router like router as well.

Hi. I just took at a look at Jaspr and it's a lot leaner than what's shown in the video.
Maybe it's been updated? There's also tailwind and riverpod support now. Would love a newer take on this!

I also wanna start learning some web framework to build web apps. Which stack do you advise for a flutter developer?

I don’t know if being a “flutter developer” changes the approach I would recommend. But have a solid base with html,css, and JavaScript. Then depending what your goals are, if it’s getting a job definitely go with React. If it’s for fun I like Astro a lot, and Svelte also. But React is the biggest in the market by a lot

Really interesting to see Jaspr, Svelte, Astro compared like that.
If Jaspr somehow became more concise, Dart could become nearly as powerful as JS!

It would still have a ways to go since the JS ecosystem is soooo huge, but it would be another big step for sure

Yea I haven’t shared much on here but man I’m really starting to like web dev just JavaScript is annoying. Using type script makes it a bit better though

Honestly I like both. SvelteKit is going through a big update right now with Runes so maybe Astro is better. With Astro you can write any language so it’s more flexible
