    Wow!! I loved watching that! Thank you so much. I'm going to get myself a scraper! I don't know how I've been managing without one!!
    I'm facing a small issue with my balms. After filling the transparent tubes with the wax and oils, I lay it to rest overnight. The next morning I cap them. (The temperatures here are between 14 Celsius at night, to 24 Celsius in the day).
    When I turn it clockwise, the lip balm rises out of the tube and I can apply it to the lips. (The balm itself has a nice texture and glide).
    However, if I now turn it anti-clockwise, the balm retreats down, BUT a short segment of the balm, separates from its larger whole INSIDE the tube.
    Meaning, after the balm has gone up for lip application purpose, and if then I turn it anticlockwise to bring the balm down, the lip balm breaks off and a gap is created inside the tube between the 2 pieces.
    If I turn it clockwise again, the smaller piece will meet the bigger piece and it "appears" merged.
    Is this a common issue? I mean, am I NOT supposed to turn a tube anti-clockwise??
    If the tube was opaque, I would never have known about this... Can you please help? :))

    Hi , Ariane
    Would you please advice on how many time you can keep melting your lip balm oils? Does reheating multiple time effect the oils or butters , do they lose any of their benefits?
    Thank you for sharing your work and knowledge.

    • @ArianeArsenault
      @ArianeArsenault  Před 3 lety +1

      You can remelt as long as you don’t overheat your oils/butters/waxes. I keep my mixture between 150-160 Fahrenheit and use a temperature controlled plate to ensure I don’t burn it off

    Do you find that putting your finished lip balms in the refrigerator to cool causes any deformation or excessive shrinkage compared to a slower room temperature cooling?

    • @ArianeArsenault
      @ArianeArsenault  Před 2 lety +1

      Not at all. I put it in the fridge for maybe 30-60 minutes max and then pull it out as soon as it is firm.

I don't undertand this - are they expecting me to send them samples I purchase elsewhere and if so, why? I am super confused. I want to purchase one like yours and there is no mention of the bar you applied to keep the balms separated. Please help me Thank you, Sylvia

    Any thought on changing the plastic packaging to the cardboard tubes?

    • @ArianeArsenault
      @ArianeArsenault  Před 3 lety +2

      I have experimented but the tubes get oily as the filling tray doesn't fit the cardboard tubes. Also, upon use of the lip balms, we find that the tubes get oil stains and the cardboard sometimes comes off onto the lips... which isn't fun. We keep the cardboard for our body balms, but for now, it isn't concluent for the lip balms.

      @ArianeArsenault  Před 3 lety

      @@phoenixandthenoms9920 yes you could do metal tins. I prefer the tubes to finger dipping containers for lip balms. Many makers use the paper tubes, you should try them to figure if you like them ☺️
