Happy belated 100k Subscriber day! Really, it comes down to your authentic charm, willingness to record in shops and cafes and restaurants in order to take us along and most importantly (at least to me) your love of your home. I'm a Los Angeles native, and like any other major metropolitan city, there's good and bad and it gets amplified by news and media. But to love the city you live in and really take pleasure and pride in showing people around - even virtually - is not a super common attitude many have. My favorite moments are when you pause and gush over little architectural moments in otherwise simple buildings and interiors. Your appreciation of what makes London unique above and beyond the usual hyper scripted tourist fluff is refreshing and endearing. Thank you!!

What I noticed different with Easter in America versus the UK is that you guys have a lot of chocolate chickens. I've never seen a chocolate chicken here in America. You see chocolate bunnies all over the place. A lot of different types of ornate chocolate Easter eggs. And Easter baskets are extremely huge with the youth.
We have the chocolate chickens in Canada also. All of their Easter treats look so amazing over there.

In Australia i remember lots of chocolate hens. In Italy you Will see a lot of chocolate or Sugar lambs. Every country is different.
This makes me so excited, as I’ll be in London a week from now (after a 23hr flight from Australia). Will be hitting F&M for afternoon tea as my favourite! The Easter bits look too cute 🐰 🥚 Thanks for sharing Hannah.

A week ago spent the afternoon at FM high tea wonderful , our time slot was 3:00pm quieter and felt no rush to leave . They even packed our uneaten left overs to take home . Following day left for home for Australia definitely one of our highlights.

I'm from Melbourne and was at Fortnums for afternoon tea last week. We had a 1pm time slot. Also had to get a little takeaway box for the cakes we didn't eat. I love the teas and their pretty tins and bought a few as gifts.

For a special birthday I was lucky enough to receive a F & M gift box of Champagne with Chocolates in the drawers underneath, it was an absolute pleasure to receive and I didn’t want to drink or eat any of it as it was so special…..but I did. Delightful tour! Back in 1971, I was 22 (& U.S.), I stayed with cousins in their Surrey home where at afternoon Tea my cousin would offer me a choice of "Indian tea or China tea." Not knowing one tea from another, I opted for China tea, which is the smoky Lapsang Souchong. Before returning home, I wanted to get a tin to take home to my Mom, and they sent me to F&M in London to make my puchase. That tea became a favorite treat for Mom and me over subsequent years.
But the last time I tried to restock, just after covid lockdown, from a supplier in NYC I got home with 10# of gasoline-adulterated tea. 😳
So now I only enjoy the memory - which is always linked with that 1971 trip to F&M! 😋

Chocolate Easter Eggs started at the french Court of Louis xiv, but it was the Italians that started the hollow egg tradition by pouring molten chocolate inside an empty chicken egg shell, letting the chocolate settle, and then cracking the chicken egg shell. The chocolate egg was late in coming to britain, 1873 was the first recording, but Cadbury industrialized the process, and from 1875, chocolate egg production soared.

Tea at F&M is one of 3 must-stops the day when we arrive in London. F&M, Simon Carter and George Trumper in Curzon Street settle us in the UK.

We used to live in London in a flat in Abercorn Place NW1 and I lived in a mews house in Archery Close, just off Connaught street, W2 with my parents until I married. Loved your vlog round Maida Vale a while ago and
meeting friends on the boats on Little Venice. Old stomping grounds of ours with so many happy memories too! Also your walk through Hyde Park to the Serpentine cafes and then when you saw Prince Edward and spoke to him and he kindly replied to you! Also just watched your vlog round a favourite store of ours Liberty, you have great tastes too-also love their linens and I love their scarves. Hannah, This was a great video. I absolutely love Fortnum and Mason. When my husband and I visited we spent a few hours there. We drink our morning breakfast tea out of the cups and saucers we bought there. Each year we buy a years worth of tea and we have an account. The other amazing thing is they ship to the US so quickly!! I love their selection of honey as well. I need to watch your high tea video at Fortnum's. Fabulous Fortnum and Masions one of my favourite shops in London. Have just noticed on their website they have started selling coronation goods at last. Some beautiful tins for collectors. Also was so lucky they other day my neighbours put a Fortnum basket in their skip, and they were happy for me to take it, made my day😊. I love Fortnum & Masons! When my daughter & I were in London right before the Jubilee we went there & I bought several things including the Jubilee loose leaf tea. It was WONDERFUL! The towels do wash well & I have had several people ask me about where I bought them from.
