Is an excellent movie, especially comparing it to the insane amount of shit we are getting lately. It makes what any prequel/sequel movie should do : adding interesting characters (without killing old ones), creating connections to the main story (without distorting it) , keeping the core aspects of the franchise intact (in this case humanity). And is also a movie that you can watch with the whole family.
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I did see the first two, so, I was expecting a character centered approach. Having a lead dying of cancer was a perfect choice. However, one scene made absolutely no sense to me. The scene where Joseph Quinn's character goes out to find meds for Lupita. Yeah, I get that part, but the whole sequence attached to after finding the meds made no sense whatsoever, and I thought at that point he was totally out of character, achieving a level of bravery that was not in keeping with the frighten individual he was introduced to us as. Go out to get the meds alone, was a big enough stretch for this character. And while I appreciate the cat, I found too many shots inexplicable and therefore unbelievable.
The rationale for him being braver could be that he had now confronted one of those aliens close-up and lived to tell the tale. And I do agree with the cat sentiment :)

Ps. I was bitterly disappointed
Yeah, I can definitely see why most people would be.
I didn't like it either. Maybe my expectations were too high.
@@moecoop420 The naming and trailers set way different expectations than what we finally got. So I can definitely see why many would be disappointed.
